One interesting phenomenon emerging from the convergence of these trends is businesses with one primary employee that generate over a million dollars a year in revenue. This is enabled by leaner, just-in-time manufacturing, far bigger marketing channels, platforms like Upwork for hiring people to do one-off tasks, and the like.
