- Kalous ušatý (Asio otus) je u nás nejpočetnějším druhem sov. Od října do února je můžeme pozorovat ve větších společenstvech na oblíbených stromech, které slouží jako "nocoviště" přes den. Ve vrbě na videu bylo 15 Kalousů ušatých.

Pendant l'hivernage, les hiboux cherchent un "refuge de nuit" commun. Très souvent, nous ne les remarquons même pas sur l'arbre, mais sur le sol, ils sont révélés par des pulvérisations d'aliments. Také jsme měli sovi v hojné míře třeba u nás v parcích Jako kluk jsem večer často slýchával jejich houkání. Dnes se z parků spíše stávají hlučná hřiště, jako u nás ve městě. Tak nějak si uvědomuji, že jsem je léta už neslyšel.Díky Jarmilo za sdílení videa s kalousem. Krásná sova.
Od října do února se kalousi shromažďují na stromech, kde se zdržují přes den. Je to vlastně takové denní "nocoviště". V tuto dobu se nijak neozývají, tak si jich člověk ani nemusí všimnout. Ale pod stromem jejich přítomnost prozradí vývržky. U nás ve městě takové stromy mají oblíbené už několik let. Často to bývají smrky, zeravy, nebo jalovce. Na videu jsou na obrovské vrbě. Napočítala jsem 15 jedinců, ale možná jich bylo i více. Vždycky je to krásný zážitek. Děkuji za váš komentář. Pěkný večer. Jarmila
Wow Jarmila, just WOW!!!! That is one of my favorites of all your videos as it reminds me so so much of our much missed parliament of Long Eared Owls just a 15-minute WALK from our front door! I used to go and stare at them until bored most winter nights an hour or so before dusk. The most I ever saw myself was 7 at one time. However, there were a few other Birders there who said there were 9 there and no matter how much I tried I just could not see the others. Often there would be around 2-4 easily spotted and then the difficult ones often missed. That said, they were so much harder to see than those in this tree. It's just so easy to spot their shapes within seconds. I saw 10 in the opening sequence inside 3 seconds and knew instantly in a blink that it was a parliament and not a single Owl. I love thiose you did get on and you did so well to find those openings and had the luck on your side too there, which is fantastic for all those who view the video but wow!, so much better for you too. Magical Jarmila. ◕‿◕

OH MY GOSH Jarmila ♥ This video was absolute perfection! I have never seen a long-eared owl preen before. I think I counted 9 long-eared owls in that tree I know there was probably more. I especially love how they always roost together. I have only seen them in the wild twice, and it was very difficult to get a photograph, I only got one and I had to travel very far. I'm in love with this video & so happy you were able to experience this and share it with us. Big like 22.

C'est la plus grande espèce de hibou de la République tchèque. Pour l'hiver, ils ont des endroits où ils se rassemblent et dorment pendant la journée. Dans cette période, ils ne répondent pas, mais peuvent être trouvés par l'éjection sous l'arbre. Les rejets les révèlent toujours. Pour cet arbre j'étais la première fois, mais dans notre ville sont aussi, mais le conifère et il y a très difficile à voir. Mais je vais les regarder et compte toujours si tout le monde le fait.
