Dear God, i am very sorry for believing in this heresy and even promoting it to acquaintances and friends. Please forgive me Lord, I am also a victim of this heresy and cult. It took me a long time to admit that I was in this cult for far too long, years, because no one wants to admit they have been in a cult. It is very difficult for former ncc members to integrate well into other churches, having been so deeply brainwashed by the heresy. The effects of this heresy is far more pronounced and far reaching that imagined and even today, I am seeing more and more of the destructive effects it has had on me in my life the past 20 years. Lord, help me to renounce every soul tie with this man and everyone from ncc cult whom i have interacted with. Thank you pastor Kong for speaking against joseph prince and his heresy. It was my life saver many years ago when i was stuck and hurt in the ncc cult and their teachings and self centred members.
Return not to the Law or works. The Pharisees added thousands of new laws to the 613 Mitzvot that even they couldn't keep. Jesus gave instead a New Covenant of radical, transforming Agape love and the forgiveness of God and sealed it in His blood. We become a new creation because of His words and love. Jesus himself rebuked the chief priests and elders in Matt 21:31 and said "Truly I tell you, the tax collectors and prostitutes are entering the kingdom of God before you." If anyone knew all the Law and could keep all the Law, it would be chief priests and elders, right? I'm sure you know people who obey the letter of the law, but not the spirit of the law. Even my Jewish brothers have figured many loopholes in the Law like the keeping of the Sabbath. In the sermon, Kong Hee first talks about the narrow gate (Matt 7:13). Read carefully what Jesus says before it (So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets. Matt 7:12) and after it (By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Matt 7:16-18) BTW I have never stepped foot in NCC or listened to any of Joseph Prince's sermons but I came to the New Covenant by studying Jesus's own words and why he went to the cross. In fact, I was in the very CHC auditorium when Kong Hee was preaching the Antinomianism sermons back in 2004. And I've forgiven him already. Took a while but finally I forgave all in August thanks to Jesus's love. Knowledge of the Law didn't help in my case. We are all worried about Christians using it as a license to sin, I 100% agree with that. Forgiveness of sins only requires teshuva (repentance), tefila (prayer), and tzedaka (charity). All Jews know this. It is a simple thing and does not require a sin offering or an animal sacrifice. God will forgive IF sinners repent, and pray, and seek His face, and turn from their evil ways. Our duty is to rebuke and to forgive. Kong Hee sinned, but I forgave. My previous pastor committed adultery and abused his wife but I forgave. Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing. My hurts and scars are nothing compared to His, but He forgave. It is difficult to pass on revelation via preaching. Even Jesus said "This is why I speak to them in parables: “Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand. (Matt 13:13) Let God's truth speak to you though Jesus's own words I understand fellow Christians have hurt you. Rebuke them and forgive them. Let God judge their fruits and works. Return to Jesus as a child. [And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Matt 18:3-4] Enter through the narrow gate. (Gal 6:22-23) I myself lost my job thanks to a fellow brother. I went through a period of wilderness and even hurt and took advantage of fellow Christians. I taught in Sunday school, preached the word as a cell leader, junior pastor and led intercessory prayer groups and mission groups overseas. It didn't not change my heart. I still had pride and unforgiveness and anger. I was not bearing good fruit until God gave me the revelation of the New Covenant. I shall pray for you, believing. God will restore you and bless you. My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. (John 15:12-13) No, I do not believe the New Covenant is easier, it touches on all interactions with God and man. I'm sure you know how dangerous interacting with people is. I am waiting for Him to ask me to make the final sacrifice, but until then I put to death my old self with it's evil practises daily. There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear.
