- Slipknot taking the stage and absolutely crushing, playing the opening track “(sic)” from their eponymous debut album, released in 1999! This set took place at Knotfest 2024, and was abruptly ended due to “severe” weather. The somewhat controversial abrupt ending resulted in tens of thousands of paying fans missing out on 3-4 more songs.
Man i wish they skipped the samples for this set just so they can get through to surfacing and spit it out. Everyone knew it was going to start storming around 9. They even played an hour early and still couldn't finish the whole set. I flew in from Ohio so i was extremely disappointed but still had a blast.

The parking was a damn nightmare
I spent mor time in the parking Lot than slipknot set but SEE them was a dream from My youth.
They are absolutely firing on all cylinders this tour! Shoutout to Eloy. That man breathed new life into Slipknot.
I drove up from Kansas. I wish it would have lasted longer, but I'm still glad I finally got to see them in Des Moines.

Yeah glad I got in for free. Hatebreed and GWAR was awesome but really didn’t like anyone else. This set was soo short
What happened?
The lineup last night wasn't as strong as 2021's was, but overall, at least in my opinion, the overall experience was far better this year. My group paid a little extra for parking to skip out on the nightmare we had in '21, and the only issue was when the water trailers ran dry before Knocked Loose, but they fixed that issue by the end of KL's set.

Worst ever. One lightning strike 5m away and they pulled the entire show.

I walked back to my car and it was definitely more than one lightning strike. I had been paying attention to the sky for a while and can definitely understand why they had to stop. It sucks and I’m definitely disappointed, but if lighting were to hit anything electric their equipment could be fried. There’s also, you know, tens of thousands of people there that could get hurt IF something were to happen.
