Thank you for the kind words. Yes, absolutely. Saved my sister inlaw much expense and it's almost impossible to live in Florida without air-conditioning. Have a wonderful weekend 😀
Did you have to disconnect the steering column then at the bottom? I found instructions online for my 2013 model saying you have to take out the dash console, the steering column and the shift gear assembly in order to take down the dash... ugh.
To save removing the dashboard would it be possible to cut the 2 pipes supplying the heater matrix whilst in situ in the car, then slide out the old matrix from its housing, then cut the 2 pipes on the replacement matrix in the same place and slide in the new matrix into position and join the 2 original pipes that were cut to the 2 new cut pipes on the replacement matrix with connecting hoses and clips? Thanks
There may be ways to work around obstacles but for the most part, mechanically speaking, it's better to go straight to task at hand the proper way. Thank you for watching and commenting. Have a wonderful week.
An old estimate from a few years ago was about $1500 labor plus parts ( I am guessing). Honestly, I forgot what my sister inlaw was quoted 😐. I was just helping her, no charge. I am sure I would be 😲 shocked at today's prices.
There is no correct answer for whatever the reason: build quality, design, material used. I have seen brand new vehicles need them in less than 2 years.
well done as you say lots of patience needed hope you tested the new one for leaks afore it went in great job saved em a fortune in labour costs

Yes, you do have to disconnect it.
Do you have to reprogram anything after assembly for exemple the airbag?

How much would something like this cost labor and parts?

I was quoted $1800 at Firestone for this work. Hence why I am looking for videos like this one so I can save on the 6 hours of labor they quoted me.
How long does the evaporator core last?

Good job.
Thank you 😊.
Can’t they make it more difficult ?
Engineers can always make it more difficult...for the sake of saving money in the assembly line 🙄.
What a nightmare 🙈🙊🙉
It was a lot of work. But not a hard car to work on. Thanks for watching and commenting.
How Long time did it take from start to finish?
