big facts.
@@imconfused1237 u can’t win when 3 of your 4 starting defenders are injured. Liverpool was humiliated when they gad those problems. Judging Arteta based on performances at Tottenham and at Newcastle is wrong.
No.
Fair play. I'm Not sure it worked out but it shows imagination, always thinking of ways to gain an edge. Considering Arteta is entering only his 3rd full season as a professional manager, and he's rebuilt an Arsenal squad which was probably the worst in living memory shows he is a talented manager. Arsenal are lucky to have him.
It’s either the 4-0 loss or the 0-0 draw, feel like it’s the 0-0 draw though as they’ll probably make a point that we didn’t concede to Liverpool at Anfield because of it
Arsenal just made 70 points & Europa final before he came in. Arteta has not even matched either of those, with 3 years + a quarter of a billion spent.
He’s rebuilt the squad with 400 million pound mate if he don’t get top 4 he’s gotta go

It will be interesting to see how Arteta improves over the course of the season as well as the players.

The importance of stadium atmosphere. Fans need to create a consistent intimidating atmosphere for opponents at the Emirates. 🔴⚪️
That's important, but you need to keep that push with your team and Arsenal last year was too edgy many times and receiving many stupid red cards for a team who pretend to go back to his best
Specifically applying to Liverpool..... I just think they have an absolute privilege. No matter how much they're struggling in the league or form, their fans always turn up.
Emirates is full of families with kids everytime, hardly intimidating.
Emirates and the Olympic Stadium were voted the least intimidating in the league.
There's some comments from pundits saying this was ridiculous, but sometimes the effort put towards being innovative can be embarrassing. I appreciate the fact that Arteta understands the psychological aspect of the game and is willing to take risks to make the team better.
This is psychological!
As the song being chanted by tens of thousand of Liverpool fans positively tells on the psyche of the Liverpool players, it does otherwise to the rival team.
What Arteta seams to be doing with the boys training while the song plays is a sort learning which sends a message to their psyche that the song is just a song, and should not provoke fear in their thoughts at any given time, just as he had experienced.
Mikel Arteta will definitely become one of the best managers to have ever managed an English side.

I remember Van Gaal did something similar. He officiated a training game before United went to Anfield, putting emphasis not letting emotions get the better of you and just focus on the football. United won that game 2-1 and Smalling kept his cool when Balotelli tried to get a reaction out of him. Same game, Gerrard was sent off in 40 seconds because the emotions got to him. Even though Arsenal didn't win this game, it's a good training method to acclimatise yourself to a hostile environment as the away team.

Ronaldo said in a interview in 2014 that it’s “the toughest away ground in the premier league”
Even KDB not long ago said he loves playing at anfield because of the atmosphere.
Seedorf and Figo said it’s an unique atmosphere.
Arteta said “anfield is the only ground I felt stuck”
It all started with Bill shankly. He made the Liverpool dressing room doorframes a few inches smaller and the away teams dressing room a few inches bigger. So the Liverpool players would look massive. He put Liverpool in all red as it stands out more than any colour. He put the famous “this is Anfield” sign above the tunnel. “To remind our players who they’re playing for, and to remind the opposition where and who they’re playing against”. Anfield and Shankly were a match made in heaven.
Anfield has always a claimed souls. The kop alone used to hold 30,000 standing. It’s the only atmosphere that really impacts players and the game. Like he said, “when they (crowd) are in the mood, they play every ball in the game”
