Just finished building this in my survival world. Here's a rough list of the materials:
9.5 stacks cobblestone
9 cobblestone stairs
2 cobblestone walls
9.5 stacks stripped spruce log
11.5 stacks spruce stair
4.5 stacks spruce trapdoor
1.5 stacks spruce slab
11 spruce fence
2 spruce door
25 stripped dark oak log
3.5 stacks dark oak stairs
1.5 dark oak slab
55 dark oak trapdoor
20 dark oak fence
6 barrells, 8 haystacks, 17 torches, 17 item frames, 1 chain, 1 cauldron

Yea. I ignored the first use and just improvised and then the cooking spit happened and I now need campfires. And I've used my coal up already so I gotta make some charcoal
U just burn wood to get charcoal ain't hard
My only complaint is I'm building it in survival and a lot of the beams I would have to jump off to grab the next item cause it was never said before. But that's a nit pick great build
I built this in survival on an SMP! It took me a full day but it was well worth it!

Great video, this was fun to build! I do wanna let you know that the trick with the item frames and torches doesn't work anymore, at least not on ps4. That was literally the only problem I had with this build tho, and to say it's a minor problem would be an understatement lol great job! ✌

Hi! I built this into a modded server amd just want to say i love it. Now im thinking i need some inspiration for an interior. I have the cooking area. Just looking for survival friendly ideas. Also the item frame trick works even better with invisible itemframes

I liked it, just made some adaptations
I didn't like the walls being all closed by wood so I made a few Ironbar windows with trapdoors as open windows
Also instead of wall torches I put some lamps with iron chains
Fantastic build. The only problem I found is I can't do the torch on the item frame trick. Either it's been patched or it just doesn't work like that on the xbox

Do you think you could add a written list of the materials? I know its kind of a pain but it's so hard for me to see what the blocks are from just the pictures. I'd really appreciate but if not that's totally okay too!

I trying on bedrock to build a Nordic world. While a longhouse would be great it would take lots of space and terraforming as I terraform any area I build. Any tips on what is Nordic that I could build maybe like a long ship.

Awsome build but the spruce planks around 42:46 kinda made me a lil ticked because I didn't see any in the materials chest

i got exactly what you said to get at the beginning and i was short 35 spruce stairs
Just saying you could've just said "mirror it on the other side" when it's symmetrical, u can cut down a bunch of the video. Thus making it less boring, but I do like the build.
on the crenulations on the middle of the roof you use double slabs. is there more of a benefit to that than just using a block?

Is the longhouse asymmetrical by design? 11 blocks on one side and 10 on the other?
yeah i think so, it's been a while since i posted this tutorial, but i remember that left side is different, so the block number is different too i guess

Honestly youtube builders need to start the actual build in survival idc about spawning in the stuff but the actual building.... so annoying when they just fly around while i need to finnick my self up walls etc...

why are you so slow at the tutorial. it's easier to follow the tutorial with the speed set to 1.75.
And also the Timelaps slow. but you have a very good talent for building.
