Not sure what everyone expected tho since this game came out before guardians 1. Nobody really knew anything about the team and he didn't really much personality until the 1st movie

Star lord had done of personality in the comics before the movie. In my opinion, the quality of the character (and comics) decreases the farther from the movies release you get.
In the comics you get a really boring stereotypical superhero, who is then abandoned for a decade. After that you get a grizzled, guilt-ridden, self-loathing person who hates who he is, and who then becomes a general in a intergalactic war.
Then you have a guilt-ridden leader who got shanghaied into helping people and becoming part of the first team that’s recognizable as the Guardians (Star-Lord, Groot, Rocket, Mantis, and some other people who haven’t made the jump to live screens).
You also get tons of character in the 2008 and 2013 Guardians runs, but I can’t care to get into it. James Gunn has made some really good movies, but the comics would be way better if they hadn’t been influenced by that, IMO.

Well considering the fact the game came out just before phase 1 finished I don’t think the game could have 200 characters when only like 5 marvel movie were out at the time
@@cjuw the only thing that is “based” off the movies is a couple character models that were taken from physical minifigures that happened to be from mcu Lego sets

Honestly starlord is the most dispointed character ive ever unlocked, i remember getting excited to unlocked him specialy with the comic design that look so cool. Very sad he is so boring to play

The only recognizable guardians are Groot and Rocket... I with they all sported the same ravager uniform as rocket (besides Groot) though, because that would've been way more recognizable and cool imo

I am annoyed that TT gave his blasters color dials on both so they definitely intended to make them elemental blasters, but scrap that completely, could have given him power by making those blasters shoot fire, water, electricity, and wind.

Well, this game also came out a year before the first Guardians film did.
All of the super heroes in Lego superheroes one, is based off the comics because the game came out in 2013 and most of the MCU phases 4 or 5 came out in 2018 the only heroes that’s not based off the comics is the heroes that got a movie before 2013

to have other abilities which is why I like creating different new heroes in games .

Lego marvel superheroes is how I found out about the guardians a year before the movie came out and I instantly fell in love with them. I bought the first appearance of rocket raccoon before the movie came out which was a good investment. because after the movie came out it went being a $70 book to being $400 or something. Then I used my $400 i got to start my anime collection because I was getting into anime at the time. I was a comic fan before the first avengers came out i knew about the guardians before that movie came out and I got into anime way before demon slayer and my hero academia were even a thought. I swear to God everything I get into goes mainstream and a bunch of poser fan normies invade the fandom space. I would get bullied in school for liking this nerdy stuff and then it became mainstream. the same people who bullied me for liking nerdy stuff got into it themselves. Not because they actually care about it but because its the "hip new thing" SMH. Also I stopped playing d&d after stranger things came out because the normie posers who can't play the game worth a crap started flooding the game tables and the problem hasn't stopped.
When i was gronding for the platinum i used im to fly around because his flying was quiet and hearing iron man flying around got annoying after a while
