In my experience the trick to achieving these levels of CDR is to get Ban Hammer item asap (preferably also the item that gives you free reroll on every upgrade screen) and ban EVERY military upgrade except ability damage, ability crit chance and ability CDR. Get Congratulation Letter aswell and Bell & Whistles. Lock the ability damage to proc Bells & Whistles. You will get at least 20% CDR on every Military upgrade. If you see a legendary ability Crit Chance, pick it. After getting 2-3 of them, switch to locking ability Crit so you have a chance at legendary Ability Damage. As long as you don't see legendaries, pick the CDR. You can replace the Ban Hammer once you are done blocking stuff. The free-reroll-Item I recommend keeping tho, it gives you extra shots at legendaries each time, continuously providing value, therefore outscaling basically any other Item. Remember you can also reroll for CDR for Engineer on the Level-Up Upgrades. If you see CDR for Medic/Ghost, lock it and either reroll or take an other upgrade, the CDR itself will be locked, but the person it is for rolls new anyway (not sure if that's intented, but it's how it works currently). This strat can pretty much break the game on current patch, if you get above 98% CDR on Engineer (takes around 1000%) and have enough movement speed to sidestep the charging bosses, you can not die unless you fall asleep in front of the computer.
I just found this game and yours is the first video I've watched on it. Its the first game in years that I instantly loved and played for 5 hours straight. Great video man, you really show how intricate the game is. p.s. I definitely messed up the prayer. My bad.
Really enjoy this game! They've been doing a good job of keeping new content coming out every few months, so it keeps the game feeling fresh with each new thing.
They really need to stop what happened at 27:27 , when you reroll and it gives you the same items you just rolled away (in this case Nine Inch Nails reappeared). It really feels bad to roll away 4 items and have any of them reappear again, especially if you run out of your VERY LIMITED rerolls. It's the only reason why the Ban Hammer and the Reroll Guitar are two of my favourite early items. Having a free ban on every screen and a free reroll (so together you can ban twice!) is so useful to curate your item pool down to what you really want and stop the annoying trash items from appearing over and over again. That's if you are lucky enough for the hammer or guitar to show up, ofc. 😒😮💨
If you'd taken the Sub Zero shield evolution you would have got the "Perma-Freeze" unlocked as an additional way to insta-kill while also freezing enemies at range. It was almost painful to see 9 stacks of Ice - just shy of activating the only other type of insta-kill in the game. The Coffee Cup is really unnecessary late-game as you rarely kill the bosses once they have ridiculous amounts of hp; better to take the Icon Of Stillness for more Ice stacks and extra CC - both chance of CC'ing and an extra source of CC as frozen enemies can freeze others (especially useful with the Sub Zero shield evolution!) Apart from that that is definitely one tanky build - I got to 1hr 17m playing the same but with the above changes. Also the Zugzwang is +2 stacks for both Ice and Slashing, buffing your insta-kill chances. Ideally if you could run the Ice badge as well and the 2 Ice items (for +11 Ice stacks) then you'll really maximise your insta-kill rate. 😁 P.S. my Ghost did 1,295,409,000 dmg! Thousand cuts did 179K DPS and 685M damage total.
I just picked up this game yesterday. I'm having a blast. Not everything is unlocked yet, so I'm prioritizing upgrades as follows A Weapon A level 1 ability Highest level ability. Looking forward to having enough options unlocked to fine tune my choices.
Engineer is the most OP character. But you have to focus on the Ability build-up instead of the Weapon. My favorite build is the Engineer + Medic + Whatever character, broke the 4-hour mark.
I have two things on my mind. First, it seems really strange that when replacing the ring you keep the dmg bonus gained. Or did I misunderstood your comments? Second: Coffee cup is great but it relies on the ability to kill bosses fast enough. So in the beginning it is very strong (100% bonus all the time) but later when HP of bosses increase, you quickly start to loose the part of the bonus, even further reducing your ability to kill bosses fast enough.
The upgrades are permenant for the ring...so ya, you keep the stats when you replace it. Never knew if that was intended or not, but it's been like that for awhile and they havent "fixed" it yet. As for Coffee Cup, it's not just bosses, it's elites also. So even though they take longer to kill, between bosses and elites, it's pretty easy to keep the uptime.
I love the videos! As a QoL request though, would it be possible to post just a quick summary of the build in the description or comments? I want to try to use this build (and your other builds), but it's hard to do without a reference.
"we're gonna run the medic" is getting so painful to hear lol there is no way the block projectile energy shield is better here the blaster tho, i have been really liking it lately
I miss the time when Tank is known for being strong late-game, now it's Ghost that is the strongest both early and late-game My run was 1hr 6mins long and my Ghost did 220k DPS and 751m with Thousand Cut While Kunai Dance did 111k DPS and 442m DMG I am surprised i did that much dmg despite not having much item that buffed his melee My item build: Detective Pipe Gaslighter Icon of Tempest Solar Panel Duct Tape Magical Hat Congratulation Letter Giant Enemy Crab Badge: Thunder Reload Critical Tough Could probably go over 300k DPS with Thousand Cut if i had Glass Cannon and Ring of Power replacing Congratulation Letter and Magical Hat, Sugar Rush replacing Detective Pipe, and lastly Power Glove replacing Solar Panel? But then it will make other skill weaker...
Sadly Ghost is going to be really the only viable late game character because of the "bleed" stat. It's the easiest way to kill enemies when they have 3000% extra HP. As for explosive build...nah, I don't think it's viable. I've tried several times, and can't really get a good build going. Again bleed, and maybe permafrost seem to be the only real viable late game builds.
I could be trippin cause I've never played this game in my life but I kept hearing you saying "we're gonna go cool down reduction" throughout the beginning of the video and you picked maybe one cooldown reduction and skipped the rest

Ya, rerolling the same items can be pretty frustrating.
love this. thanks for sharing the gaming experience my friend.
I just picked up this game yesterday. I'm having a blast. Not everything is unlocked yet, so I'm prioritizing upgrades as follows
A Weapon
A level 1 ability
Highest level ability.
Looking forward to having enough options unlocked to fine tune my choices.
Haven't played this game since its early access launch when it barely had any content, it looks really fun now
They added a decent amount over the last year. Good time to jump back in…feels more like a compete game now.
Cool, I tried this build and cleared for 1:26:56. 2.45 billion damage with thousand cuts. almost 1.3 billion with kunai dance!
Ghost just dominates now.
Great run 😊
Wish the game would get a new map, hoping it will be in the next update, whenever that'll be.
Ya, I would really love to see a new character soon.

@@OHRyePlays Nice. Great to know.
Thx!
Do you keep the damage stacks from Ring of Power if you swap it out later?
Yup, not sure if it's intended...but it's been in the game quite awhile now and the devs never fixed it.
Wheeee! 🚶🏃🤸
I love the videos! As a QoL request though, would it be possible to post just a quick summary of the build in the description or comments? I want to try to use this build (and your other builds), but it's hard to do without a reference.
I’ll see what I can do. Thanks for the feedback!
Sooooo, that's the whole game? Running around in a circle?
Isn’t that every game?
@@OHRyePlays No, some let you run in a straight line instead.
When you think about it that's all life is.
Nope. It is more like how long can you stay alive running around in a circle.
"we're gonna run the medic" is getting so painful to hear lol
there is no way the block projectile energy shield is better here
the blaster tho, i have been really liking it lately
I mean, if they want that fixed then they need to add another support character.
I miss the time when Tank is known for being strong late-game, now it's Ghost that is the strongest both early and late-game
My run was 1hr 6mins long and my Ghost did 220k DPS and 751m with Thousand Cut
While Kunai Dance did 111k DPS and 442m DMG
I am surprised i did that much dmg despite not having much item that buffed his melee
My item build:
Detective Pipe
Gaslighter
Icon of Tempest
Solar Panel
Duct Tape
Magical Hat
Congratulation Letter
Giant Enemy Crab
Badge:
Thunder
Reload
Critical
Tough
Could probably go over 300k DPS with Thousand Cut if i had Glass Cannon and Ring of Power replacing Congratulation Letter and Magical Hat, Sugar Rush replacing Detective Pipe, and lastly Power Glove replacing Solar Panel? But then it will make other skill weaker...
On a sidenote, do you think Explosion build is viable?

@@OHRyePlays was gonna get this game, but hearing this, seems a unbalanced game for me
I was on difficulty level 2 though
I could be trippin cause I've never played this game in my life but I kept hearing you saying "we're gonna go cool down reduction" throughout the beginning of the video and you picked maybe one cooldown reduction and skipped the rest
I can't recall what level-ups I actually picked...but in terms of items, I went heavy CD reduction with Solar Panel, Nuts and Bolts, and Sugar Rush.
