In this video I check out the new handlebar and large tube mounts by GoPro. These are awesome! They are way faster to mount then the old ones and provide the ability to rotate the mount to almost any angle you want.

They still fall short of a fully functional handlebar mount it needs a 360* rotation. So many bicycle mounts have the orientation of the camera facing the side of the road, or it is only forward/back facing.
As a GoPro cyclist, I want to be able to aim my Hero7 any direction on the fly, without having to stop and take the camera off and reposition the mount. GoPro, please make these mounts aluminum for strength (ABS fails after time in the sun, I have had so many break and the camera falls to it's death) . GoPro please make that aluminum mount with a 12 point, 360* rotation. (so all we have to do is reach and twist on the fly while riding)
When will GoPro employ engineers that actually ride bikes and use the equipment they design.
These were obviously engineered by people who know nothing about cycling. Thanks

The rotating feature looks flimsy but good feature otherwise.
Excellent video with great information. I will be adding both the handlebar mount and the rollbar mount to my kit soon. Between mountain biking and offroading in my Jeep I can see a ton of benefits to getting these into use. Scott

These are great upgrades. I guess GoPro will start improving a lot of the first edition accessories. Good Video and review as always.

Great product for mounting to my motorbike's forks. Like you say, much less fiddly than GoPro's previous models.

This was very helpful-thank you! I just received mine and had to search for a video to understand how to use it.
I use these these to mount cameras on steam locomotive hand rails, these rails can get pretty warm, not hot enough to damage the camera, put the rubber inserts become much softer, there have been a couple of times when I gone to remove the camera and the whole assembly has just fallen into my hand without undoing anything, making me realize just how close I've been to losing the camera. I've reverted to using the older mounts again to get away from this problem. PS It isn't a problem if you are not using the soft rubber inserts.

I totally wish I saw this a week ago. I have larger (aftermarket) motorcycle handle bars. (Vindikta Bars). Will be buy this now.
Looking for mounts for outriggers on sea fishing boat. These look promising. Is there a way to feed external power to the gopro itself? Bc sometimes we go for hours and hours trolling for fish and would be impossible to constantly change batteries. Thank you for video

Hi, just to clarify, what was the maximum diameter of the large tube mount? I'm guessing it's the same one that you used on your Laser dinghy's boom for your sailing footage?
Am thinking to acquire a similar large tube mount for use on a Laser Pico or a Pacer-class sailboat, and was wondering about what diameter I should cater for.
Do you have idea?if I need to attach the chest mount and clamps the Handheld Gimbal.

Thanks for the review Kyle but after GoPro disabled 3rd party batteries in ther 1.55 firmware upgrade I won't be buying anything from GoPro. I'll wait for the cheaper Chinese knock off's. STUFF YOU GoPro!!
