  • Pat Flatley is a Green Beret veteran who tried every therapy available to him, but still felt like nothing was working. After 5 years of struggling, not sleeping, and trying to find answers, in November 2021, he was given a chance to try something new through VETS.
Pat is a VETS Foundational Healing Grant recipient and volunteered as a participant in the Stanford brain imaging study of ibogaine therapy for TBI and PTSD. Through VETS, Pat and his family gained the opportunity to grow together again, and for Pat, the chance to finally come home.
Since 2019, VETS has provided grants for hundreds of U.S. Special Operations Forces (SOF) veterans to receive psychedelic-assisted therapy treatment outside the U.S., as well as preparation and integration coaching and ongoing community support.
