I can’t wait to get mine as a Christmas gift! Who could forget 2816s CPKC Final Spike Tour from Calgary 🇨🇦 through the Central 🇺🇸 and into Mexico City 🇲🇽? An amazing 3 country Cross Continental tour.
I just received my 2816. Truly amazing. Light years ahead of the first runs of Hudsons which looked great but had some considerable running issues, at least mine did. Rapido has hit its stride with recent releases... M420's, GP38's and this Hudson are great runners and lookers! Keep it up!
Most definitely a first class locomotive. Well done Rapido. I have two Royal Hudson's from the first run. They are excellent models. Definitely worth the money paid for them
Those came out very nicely! See, you guys can do steam engines. And I didn't see any duck waddles like so many model steam engines have. I think gearing all of the drivers was the solution. Good job! 🤠👍
Looks great. Wish I could get one. But unfortunately too many other great Rapido models on pre-order right now. I hope that these come back again at a later date.
I should be getting mine next week, so many hands to handle it before mine and such, I did have one question. Where is the decoder located? I’m assuming the boiler like the D10.
Are of the sound features the same across all the different model variants? I was hoping to get 2816, but I unfortunately missed out 😢 and I just wanted to make sure the sounds on the model I was able to snag are going to be the same
Dangit Boy's! (and girls), I'm still looking to get the Rapido edition of the 44Tonner and you toss this up on youtube! Hur choices now. Also Jordan is missing his hoser coat, to hold cold ones.
Anything is possible, but these aren’t currently planned for a new release. I’m the meantime the team is focusing on the CNR H6 and another yet to be announced steam locomotive
Can you please create a model of the New York Central Hudson from this model? I purchased two Broadway Limited versions and they both jerked with every revolution of the wheels. Great looking model, very poor runners. The recent release of the Bachman version is not up to par with your models either. Would love to see a Rapido version of this classic for the NYC!!
Nice looking loco, and it runs smooth. Jeremy try not to over do it, you might hurt yourself 🤣 Rapido candy bar? Let me guess... it has nuts, because a lot of nuts work there 🙄
Yes ! N-scale please ! I'm looking to recreate the Royal Train of 1939 when King George VI and Queen Elisabeth (later the Queen Mother) visited Canada and the US. So I'd be looking for the whole rake of cars to go with the locomotive. (Family lore has it that my maternal grandmother was a telephone operator on that train for at least part of the time the Royal couple was in Canada. I have not yet been able to confirm that.)
I love that Rapido is a company with a sense of humor. Reading the manuals is actually fun.

1:02 “A freight train! A freight train! A FREIGHT TRAIN!!!!” He hissed. “The shame of it! The shame of it! O THE SHAME OF IT!!!!!” 😂😂😂
Listen to that sound! I was able to find one from Model Train Stuff which if anyone is looking still has some available!
Get them while they last!

Waiting patiently for mine. Looking forward to it.

Thank you very much!
Awesome. Love the new test track set up as well.
If only you could do these before they are sold out! Still nice to see what I missed.
@jwg72 Model Train Stuff has some still high price but I'd say it's worth it
Great work guys! Looking forward to receiving mine!
Stunning job on this!
Thank you! Cheers!
Nice looking engines.
The elesco feedwater heater is a very nice feature. They add a bit of flare to an engine.
👍

Cool, when will the CTA 3200 series cars be announced?
EXCELLENT very cool, now make us some 70 tonners!!
Great idea!
Looking forward to the HO PRR E44's! Thanks.
I do hope we see those made, despite the lower popularity of electric locomotives.
Those would be super cool to make 😜
I am patiently waiting for when Rapido finally makes HO locomotives of the ALCO MRS-1 and EMD MRS-1 locomotives.
Rapido trains, any chance for another run of the Royal Hudson's?

For the Excursion 2816 which I have ordered... any plans for the second tender??
Not planned at this time as it would need to be all new tooling
@@rapidotrains that is disapointing. It should have been made for the excursion version especially since it's in a nice wooden box....
While it would have been nice to include, the retail price would have to be significantly increased. The tender would need to be all new tooling.
@@rapidotrainsI would have been more than willing to pay extra for it ;)
What time Tuesday?
Sorry. Wrong Dan.
Does 2816 have the smoke effect or no?
These don’t have a smoke unit installed
We need you to make the aux tenders ❤❤❤
Considering this my first Rapido steam locomotive and my first premium/expensive steam locomotive I hope it’s going to be worth the price 😬
Mine will arrive October 1.
👍
"How to hold your Hudson"...are we still talking about trains?
😜
My lead truck was installed backwards lol
Get this in N scale
