I think the mod actually adds some of her attacks that were originally planned, but then they were deemed too unfair so the reworked her to what was added to the final game

Now don't get twisted, this mod is absolutely beautiful and very visually pleasing to the eyes, but holy hell would she be a nightmare to fight. Like there was barely if any window to attack or retaliate AT ALL. I'm someone who loves attempting very very challenging things, but this I could never try

I’ve been creating a character who is directly inspired by Malenia but instead of the rot goddess she’s a golden order’s fighter. She’s fighting Malenia’s style and fights with the same blade in gold. This video is a godsend 💛

I always saw those ,,What would it be like if you had to fight these bosses in their prime" and it always annoyed me how nobody did a mod like this. I mean the convergence mod coded a new boss into the game it's possible to do it.
Finally someone said: Fine I'll do it myself, and with those 2 bosses which were always in these questions, Radahn and Malenia. I'm going to start a new playthrough with this mod.
Also I hope this guy makes Placidusax prime.

I think…the best way to make Malenia scary again is shortening the gap between each attacks and making each attack quicker

That phase 3 Scarlet Aeonia "nuke" at 16:47 was really well put together. loved all the extra details to make it feel so much more powerful

This is probably the most insaine mod I have ever seen for malenia. I don’t even think let me solo her would be able to beat this. If anything that should be like the last fight he ever does against malenia. With all the scarlet rot in her second phase and since there is barely any way to doge it this fight seems impossible. Edit ( and the fact that you litteraly had to turn on infinate hp and turn off the hitboxes just proves my point even more. So great mod but impossible. )

How is this lore accurate? It was never implied in any way that she was stronger than in vanilla version.

1 - she fought radahn
2 - she got severely injured
3 - she is carried all the way passed out from the arena (the place where we fight Radahn as well) by her most loyal knight Finlay and brought to where we find her
4 - as Malenia used a great amount of power, her sickness advanced even more, making her weaker.
In case you didn't know, she has scarlet rot, thats why she is blind, does not have a leg and an arm. The same way Radahn is now mad because of the scarlet rot, she also suffers with it... Thats also why the mod is called "Unalloyed Malenia":
One way to cure scarlet rot at an advanced stage is to use Miquella's Unalloyed Needle... All of this information is found in the game, reading item descriptions and doing npc quests...

This is possibly one of the hardest fights I’ve ever tried in gaming modded or not and dayum my experience with her has been pretty much an insane blast. Props to the mod creator for the modded bossfight.

I wanna see someone make more mods like this, mods that do stuff outside of the box, like maybe the other demigods can use their rune for power, Morgott's omen blood covers the area and it's more dangerous (or maybe Godrick with two dragon heads for arms)

@thecaelum7513 Not really, she gets much more powerful because of the rot. Without the rot she would have 1 phase, which would be stronger without the rot, but in the first bloom she couldn't even walk. Radahn is the one who is much weaker after the scarlet rot madness, Malenia lost her body parts and vision, but she gained a much powerful ability.
But what if she did her first bloom during our fight? Well, she still wouldn't have a second phase, since she would pass out.

I wonder if LMSH will appreciate this mod? He probably learned all the movements of the original Malenia by heart, he can even beat her with his eyes closed, guided by sound, just like Malenia.

I'm not THE man, but as another Malenia enjoyer, I like this mod a lot. Hard as fuck, but it's surprisingly beatable, at least in phase 1. I discovered the mod yesterday, and I've gotten her down to ≈25% HP a few times already on NG+. The sheer amount of waterfowl variations is crazy, but they each have their own tells, so with enough experience I do believe a no-hit run is feasible.
Phase 2 though.. Yeah I have no clue how I'm gonna get through that, lol. Gonna be quite a while, if I even try to go through with it all the way.
LMSH is the same level as anyone who’s fought Malenia a lot and can casually no-hit her. I can do that. Lots of players like that these days. This seems like something for a much higher level player than that; the Ongbals of the world who beat her with no hit at level 1 while parrying everything she does, never using sprint, and writing their memoirs at the same time.
I love the "Rot-shadows" it makes me think that you are having hallucinations because the rot affects your mind as well.

LOOKS cool, but the playable aspect looks extremely boring, pure spam, vampirism, animation cancel, absurd damage, ridiculus aoe ranges and scarlet root in more than half of the arena, pff

If Malenia didn’t heal, then she’d probably be one of my top five favorite bosses in Elden Ring.
I'd say the healing is fine but its how they executed it she should heal based off the damage she does to you not by a percent because people with shields can't block her attacks otherwise she heals for every hit she does
I would like it more if she only healed during the ducky dance
I don’t mind her healing, makes it more challenging and pushes you to not make mistakes
The healing is the coolest part tbh
The healing makes you pursuit perfection to beat her(atleast without summons)
And I love that kind of boss fights, it's just her waterfall dance that feels cheap, learning to dodge that move took a lot of time but still a fun fight

I’m gonna go ahead and assume that the mod she’s going to be in has some truly off the wall stuff otherwise she’s severely overtuned.
A true challenge for the true elite either way.
These new attacks of malenia are very well made and beautiful but also terrifying...
I like this, if this was in the original game, I doubt anyone would beat her, and she would be proven as One of fromsoft strongest and hardest Boss period.
I like the way she hops while during waterfowl dance cute. I enjoy she slightly bows to you when she kills you, remind me of Sir Alonne.
She should do less damage to make the fight enjoyable/ playble

Fun fact: it is heavily speculated that Malenia's boss design was originally intended to be in Sekiro as an entirely different character who is mentioned in the game's story multiple times as Lady Tomoe. Malenia's fluid sweeping movements and constant flurries of relentless attacks are VERY similar to the movesets of the enemies we encounter in the Fountainhead Palace, who we learn are connected to Lady Tomoe - it is likely that she was meant to be the end boss for that area instead of the Divine Dragon. Also, Malenia's original "waterfowl dance" as showcased in this mod (which was later redesigned before Elden Ring's release) is almost identical to the descriptions of Lady Tomoe's fighting style, which was described as being dance-like and mesmerizing.
Judging how difficult it looks to consistently dodge Malenia's oppressive offense in this mod without getting roll-caught, and how Sekiro's combat mechanics are based on parrying instead of dodging, I'd say Lady Tomoe's fight in Sekiro would have looked something like this.
Whoever made this mod did a wonderful work
I love when they go insane with the boss moveset, but you definetely need deflecting to actually do something to them or you will be rolling all the time without actually doing nothing xDD
Not only that, but something similar to Mikiri counter, or jumping over bosses like in Sekiro needed to be in the base game of Elden Ring, imo!

Idk man, while I do appreciate the mod for being crazy I think that the modder needed to add some down time to Malenia or something, she attacks so much it's ridiculous. And those phase two flowers linger a bit too much on top of them adding rot mist, like, I get it, it's supposed to be hard but c'mon man when do we get to attack? 😢

Yeah....now I finally understand Radahn....Tbh you absolutely can´t beat this on a vanilla version. It IS possible with convergence tho bc you have a talisman that 100% negates Scarlett Rot. But without that you can´t dodge her attacks, deal with that continous damage you get and the damage over time from Scarlett Rot....This is indeed TRUE HORROR.....Nice mod!!!! It really shows Malenia´s magnificent power!!
Exactly, I think that the scarlet rot would be the real problem in that phase, since you necessarily need something that negates the rot and only then are there possibilities, otherwise it feels impossible
