- Destiny 2 Episode Revenant - Solo New Vespers Host Dungeon Final Boss Fight The Corrupted Puppeteer w/ Safe 4 Phase Method. Just a quick video showing the final boss fight, The Corrupted Puppeteer in newly added dungeon during Episode Revenant. Details below.
And that's it for my first clear of the normal dungeon. I wanted an approach that was both completely mindless during the damage phase, but also put out decent damage so the fight didn't drag on. Using the same approach as a lot of people were using for contest with Grand Overture and the same position, but then combining it with Loreley during the damage phase does exactly that. The first two phases I was sort of figuring out the safest rotation, the last 2 were when it was very consistent and I'd approach it like that going forward. Using a barrier, then grenade, then barrier, then super, it seems to work very well for the entire phase. Maybe with a little more optimisation it could be done 3 phase with this same approach.
Tomorrow I'll do the solo flawless, I don't see that being much of an issue at all with the current approaches I have. And then I'll see what other guides there are to make.

I genuinely couldn’t get through this solo yesterday. Every other encounter was fine, but the amount of things to juggle as one person is crazy

@@justera111except first encounter, with a well coordinated team u can clear first encounter easy while solo have to deal with all 3 of the brigs with ur bomb of death ticking near you
This is normal mode, it's not too hard. Contest mode solo though, I wouldn't even try

They may have overcooked this one for solo. Without the cheese spot during dps this becomes a 7 or 8 phase fight easily.

your teammates suck. prospector isnt terrible now but basically any other actual build will far out damage prospector
I gotta agree with comment above me, personally I’ve used Levi’s breath, dragon’s breath,whisper for “safe options” without the chance of killing myself from a random enemy jumping in front of me,outputs more dmg(less than grand overture tho)and can be shot easier over long distance(not dragon’s breath tho, similar distance from the boss like the spot eso is in),I’d argue even a regular grenade launcher with a dmg perk like bait and switch would do better if you wanna be up and close,and you have an exotic slot for add clearing or a “backup” dmg weapon(outbreak or sunshot if I had to choose off the top of my head)

Crazy that this encounter lasts 34 MINUTES
Contest mode it took 3 guardians to finish this one encounter in like 30 minutes. This version is a joke. One melee literally almost kills a giant puppet miniboss.

you know strategies are not perfected yet? You could definitely 3 phase solo with the right build, this is just an easy and safe method to get the clear

I think its safe to say solo 1 phase will never be done with current gear
3 man it might be possible with surrounded swords + wolfpack ergo.

@@Lookout1000 the absolute pre-nerf limit is like 2 million damage a grapple but with synthoseps, the nerf, and trying to stay alive it will be hard to get a 2 phase

Titan and Warlock have more access to restoration than hunter. As a hunter main soloing this final boss, there's not much I can do to survive. Man if there are ads I could use assassin's cowl.
You can stay at the stairs. Theres a Guy that did that. He took 1 hour, but did safe
I’m main hunter but for tough solo content I suck it up and use warlock, the survivability is insane

Is there a trick to swapping loadouts and having ammo once you do? Everytime I switch I’m out of heavy and special
lmao because you're swapping weapons probably. there is no other reason you'd lose ammo when switching loadouts. the only reason it would fall to zero is if you had really low special ammo before the switch or you switched from a primary to a special

how do you reload your Grand Overture automatically at 5:18? Don't see anything on your build that does that. Maybe something on the artifact?
concussive reload in the artifact. when boosted damaging bosses with GL reload stowed weapons

It’s very good add clear for add dense areas like this dungeon, im sure you can use another weapon and still be fine
imo, only reason is because is solar, and solar kills extend restoration when using ember of Empyrean
It's the best upclose non-exotic primary add clear weapon.

Nah. Watch 6:16 very closely. He gets shot in a way that should have killed him and it does zero damage. And those zero damage shots very conviently happen when it would and should have killed him. This boss two shot me with every combination of sniper and arc mod possible. I'm calling bs.
A) the puppet is shooting him. B) he has restoration and sol invictus procked. C) Prob 100 resil. D)he has a barricade. E) youre onto nothing.

Every single dungeon released after GOA has just gotten more buttfuckingly complex and elongated.
I enjoy a handful of dungeons, but their mechanics should not be harder than a handful of raid encounters! (especially given you only get 1 loot drop from each, and the amount of players you get to accomplish said task is halfed)
