Gura follows along with most people she's with. She's so shy IRL that it's hard not to find it adorable. She stuck to Ina out in public, Kiara at the dinner and her manager time. She's so bratty and smug when she's alone though. It's hilarious.

The anxiety is real man
She’s been to Japan several times before. It’s not just being in an unfamiliar place but being around people. She’s said she “forgets how to eat”. it’s like a tic or severe social anxiety. Kobo wanted to approach her at one point but decided not to because Gura looked uncomfortable. Going out and having to meet people for work is a big challenge for her. This makes everything Gura does more amazing to me 💙
Gura having a support Phoenix is really sweet.
Having a person you trust to be able to follow along in a strange place can be really comforting.
Happy that she has good friends to hang out with in situations like this.

For an introvert any kind of interaction can be draining - even with people they love and trust unconditionally - and they require time alone to recharge. An extrovert on the other hand flourishes when interacting with others and can't stand being alone for long.
As the opposite example there's Kaela. She keeps somewhat to herself in general and usually isn't the one to initiate interactions, sure. But she has repeatedly said that streaming and interacting with chat is active relaxation to her, and many of her grinding quests are done explicitly to encourage others to play with her. So I'd call her an extrovert, albeit one that isn't too outgoing.
And Kiara still have the gall to say she is not a mommy!

This is more common than you might think. I recall a story where a friend of mine was running a "Make your own pasta" bar for an event with for a bunch of high school girls soccer teams. He mentioned that 99% of them would copy the exact order of the person in front of them (it was made Subway style so they knew fully well what the options were). But every once in a while somebody would add or remove one ingredient and then THAT would become new standard.
That’s freaky. That’s honestly terrifying. Fuckin’ pod-people shit, man. I would have run out of that place screaming.
Ah make your pasta. That was one of the food options at my cousin's wedding. You would pick out stuff to go in your pasta and the chiefs would mix it up good. I completely fkd up the line's "standard" when I ordered mine. Before me it was like a greek pasta or something. I had the chiefs throw together a pesto and veggies pasta mix and then they took my chicken that I had gotten from another stand and threw it on there hahaha.
This sounds like movies these days, just copy->paste with minor alterations because everyone is afraid to deviate too far from what's "in the pipeline."

Seeing such a popular person have the same issues as me makes me so happy. I used to skip school lunch because of the overwhelming anxiety. I was always hungry, would have a headache and my stomach would growl making me feel even more embarrassed. Anxiety is a b, but growing from it is very helpful
She was having one of those moments where you are in unfamiliar stress inducing territory so she just defaults to "I'll have what she's having", if you trust your friend's food preference, that's the go to move in that situation.
Also Kiara is known to not be an adventurous eater.
i mean i know people where whille i don't nececarily share their tastes i do know that nothing they would order i would dislike(or at the very least it would be obvious enough that i couldn't order it by mistake) so i would be confident "having what they're having" if i don't trust myself identify the options.
i also have another friend whose tastes i'm much more confident in but i also know he'll order tons of stuff i plain do not want. he would have to be able to explainf the food enough for me to be comfortable with my own choice before i'd dare eat on his advice.

I had a friend that did that, I felt slightly evil though and grabbed calamari rings as I like calamari but knew my friend didn't like them. He grabbed some too.
We sat down, he admitted he was copying what I had as he was unsure then commented that the onion rings were the best rings he'd ever had. I told him what it was and uh- he really didn't look happy. I think he just really hated the idea of eating calamari for some reason.

That's the introvert in her. I can relate. When I was a bit younger and went to a restaurant with friends, and I didn't know the food, I'd usually get what they liked so I didn't have to ask people what it was.
