@Tony Gao I'd say Kizuna Ai was "dethroned" a long time ago, more precisely when her original VA left. The company decided to hire multiple girls to work behind Kizuna, which took away her essence and turned her into a plastic marketing tool. The company kept dangling her corpse like a marionette because she's a pioneer with a lot of subscribers, even if her videos struggle to break even the 100k views mark nowadays. Also, I wouldn't say Gura's success in the past was comparable to how Kizuna went viral back in the day. Gura's YT channel wasn't even a vtuber channel, and she wasn't a vtuber for very long. Just my two cents.

Ame really proved that she's everyone's hypeman for the past year. With the way she replies to nearly everyone's tweets, her goofy-ass flirting, she never runs out of compliments for everyone, and the amount of effort she puts in preparing collabs. (off and on screen)
That and the fact that at the start, she was kinda the tech support of the group. (Less now because most of the girls have now an idea of what they are doing, but still worth mentioning.)

Its also not true that she wasn't happy for it, she is happy for the support she receives, she doesn't feel secure enough in herself to believe this was only her doing. Its quite sad how much Kiara puts herself down, because she has merit in it, at the same times, its understandable she feels that way considering the popularity of her gen.

Amelia and Gura seem like just two people hanging out, like all the hololive stuff aside, which is why I assume they collab so often. Gura really doesn't collab much either (I mean only recently has she even collabed with the jp branch, before that it was Indonesia and Roboco).
They're both just introverted. Their previous persona's used to follow eachother before they purged everything. That previous history probably helped with collaborations a lot.
It could also just be related to Timezones, Language Barriers, and overall Shyness. Though Gura lately has been getting very friendly with JP along with Ina since the Umisea collab and also Gura's love for Shion. Ame, on the other hand, is a bit more complicated. She's friendly and caring to her gen-mates (like she often checks in on them to see if they're okay) and even to others beyond HoloMyth. She has collabed with Roboco and Ollie, and she was brought to Kiryu Coco's Reddit Shitpost review just before Coco's graduation. It could be that Ame does have this...underlying fear of keeping herself in check around her gen-mates when doing collabs. Like people often like to make jokes that Ame radiates gremlin energy but I don't think her other gen-mates are aware of that side of Ame... but the only other person who knows and has been able to match Ame's gremlin side is Gura. Hence why they collab so much. (This is just a theory and pure conjecture so take it with a grain of salt.)
The two of them collabing in minecraft is what finally dragged me into the rabbithole. The reminded me a lot of the lets play channels i used to watch back in the day like the GameGrumps, Just a couple of friends who just mesh well with eachother
Yeah, that's more a cultural thing. When you ask a friend here in Germany/Austria if he/she is alright you expect a somewhat honest answer. And maybe even talk about the issue more deeply as the conversation goes on.

I remember there was a situation where she got backlash for cussing on stream and she mentioned that now she'd cuss a lot less if she cussed at all, but also expressed that without cussing it's very hard to express herself in English, even in a different language she's still the same way, not holding back her words, it kinda made me salty that people tried to change that about her

I kind of wanted Kiara to reflect on her impressions of HERSELF as well! Because she has changed a lot too, she is the one that has become the most open-hearted, affectionate, and supportive HoloEN member. Good with chat. Personally, I think she's turning into HoloEN's Marine, in all the best ways.
Absolutely, I even remember she was a bit of a crybaby early on whenever there was technical issues. Early EN Curse was not fully respected or known, and now that the curse is known and joked about takes sooo much pressure off of them when issues do arise. Helped Council feel less stressed about their tech issues too when they say they are getting hit by the curse. But back to Kiara. Kiara has always been the extrovert of myth, but her self esteem is the thing that has changed the most. Seeing both Kiara and Ina early on have the least subs compared to their gen mates made me a bit worried for them, but KFP and the Takodochis being the more dedicated fans in myth blew away that worry a few months later. As a Hoshiyomi, I wish we were more vocal about our love for our comet as much as KFP and the Takodochis are about their oshis.
Gura is just the perfect storm, she's late 2000's-early 2010's internet culture personified as cute anime girl, and very easy to watch for anyone who had any kind of presence on the (then) more well known internet communities. She's a great internet-generation-culture-mate and I think many people are just happy "one of us" got this far.
I once wrote that in one of her singing clips. There maybe some songs where she couldn't hit a note to safe her life, but in other songs her voice is really beautiful. And although she might not be a perfect singer, she really conveys her joy in just singing and goofing around while doing it. And I'm really happy that her audience made her feel comfortable enough to just do what she likes to do. That's the reason why we got that adorable AmeBee karaoke.
Really puts things in perspective. I sadly remember Kiara being down when she was the last of Myth to hit a million. She has so much heart, and always ready to cheer up her fans and fellow members. Love you Kiara!! Keep striving forward and being awesome.

It also was an unfortunate series of event because it's happed few days after Ina's birthday that was behind in sub at the time but that stream pushed way more than expected. Still in any case Kiara (and genmates too) deserve to celebrate their millstone, hope now after months she's less insecure of herself

Kiara needs to stop comparing herself to the other girls. She needs to be more confident in her own abilities. I understand why she felt the way she felt because in a way it kinda hurts a little a bit. But she needs to focus of giving the best version of herself she can be and let things flow naturally. Im happy things turn for the better for her so she has to keep betting on herself.
I could tell that Kiara and Gura were distant from each other in the beginning because it took a long time for them to have their first collab (Japanese class). Also in their first Mario Kart collab Kiara mentioned her KFP employees and Gura had no idea what she was talking about, she didn't know anything about KFP lore. I'm glad they got closer to each other eventually.
Kiara is right about how surprising Calli is. Maybe I don't watch enough of her streams, but I was surprised when Calli talked about her tastes when it came to drinks and such. I think it's great how the Reaper Rapper has a taste pallet Gura compared to a child's. There is also how innocent she seems to be compared to the others. I hope Ame grows past whatever it is that gets to her about collabs. She does have a tendency to be the quiet one when they do their group collabs, if she isn't in charge of it. Maybe she is just the type who withdraws a little when in groups. I can't help but wonder what surprised Kiara about Gura that is a secret. I don't think it is that 'forbidden knowledge'. I think a lot of the girls felt a little intimidated when it came to Gura's fast growth, that includes Gura herself. I'm glad she is getting to interact more with the other girls now and they are getting a chance to know her beyond her growth in Hololive. I feel Gura is getting past her worries when it came to that, which will really help her and the others. I like how Ina is Ina. She didn't really surprise others too much, which there is nothing wrong with because she is great how she is. You more or less knew what you would get with Ina early on, apart from the surprise of her artistic abilities.
At least with her genmates, Ame seems to prefer an observer role, she puts effort on them having a good time. As and introvert she seems to enjoy watching them a lot. As she often is lurking on their streams since day one.
I think it does have to do with "forbidden knowledge": Kiara went through a lot of hardships to get to where she is now in fame, while Gura's last incarnation literally shitposted memes to the million sub count. They stand at opposite ends in relation to fame.
I’m curious too, but it’s probably something super simple that nobody here is going to guess correctly. Could be completely wrong, but that little laugh of Kiara’s gives me the impression that it’s simple yet surprising.
I weirdly was both surprised yet not phased once I found out Ina sleeps on the floor, as well as just how amazing her art is. Since I too, sleep on the floor and dabble in the field of art. Bless kiara for sharing her feelings!
@@Tom-101 I personally sometimes sleep on the floor because it might be too hot or something. Other than that I grew up camping so I was pretty used to that “floor” feeling. Using blankets, or just something to have under you helps if you do not like the feeling of a solid ground(unless you have carpet?). As for the dust, a quick mop and or sweep should do the trick! Maybe if you are bored one night give floor sleeping a try! Do expect to feel soreness after though, it does vary person to person. Just make sure to have enough pillows, blankets, maybe futon like bedding especially as a first time!
It's not surprising Kiara didn't have to say much about Calli as they were both in Japane before debut and quite a while after as well. So she is the one Kiara knew best at the start meaning not much would change afterwards.
I gotta say too that my impression on Kiara has changed over the year. I though she was that just that roleplaying try-hard kawaii anime vtuber, but turns out she has that great observing skills and criticizing skills both on games and on people, and she can explain everything she sees quite well and can explain well why she likes this and dislikes that. Its the feat I love on content creators.
@@Shotblur Nah she changes it, her normal voice is much lower. Her voice when speaking Japanese is surprisingly always the same tho. Majority of hololive members as far as i know don't change their voice but there is quite a lot of them that do. Also i wouldn't call that faking it, since there are no nefarious reasons for doing so.
I was honestly not much of a fan of her because of the swearing, bluntness, and her multilanguage (i only know eng) discouraged me from watching her. After a while, she became one of my fave holomems. Her personality and talkativeness really grew on me and her game preferences align with mine.
Gura has probably had that effect on everyone. If she's not the highest subscribed vtuber, she's definitely in the top 5 and she's done that in a year. I still remember the days when we were wondering who would get 1 million first, Fubuki or Korone and then Gura just shows up and steals the show. I'm not saying Gura doesn't deserve it. Gura is a juggernaut. Its just I can understand why they would feel inferior. As for the rest. Calli is a lot of fun and she's probably the most involved with her fanbase. She's always bringing them up and her sheriff talk kills me. Ina is the type of vtuber I enjoy when I just want to destress. If I'm mad, stressed, or frustrated about something, Sora, Ina or Iku are my go to streamers when I need to calm down. Just have soothing personalities which go along well with their streams. I don't really watch much of Ame but she's probably the most important in terms of keeping everyone relevant and its got to be really hard on her to come up with these ideas. It's not just coming up with the ideas but also implementing them and wondering if they'll work well or flop. Takes a lot of courage and I really respect Ame for that. As for Kiara, I feel like Kiara keeps everyone together. She's the icebreaker that keeps everyone gravitating towards each other. She can talk to just about anyone and keep a conversation going as if it were second nature. She even knows many languages to keep the audience engaged with JP and other vtubers. She's the Senchou/Subaru of EN in a way. I think what's great about Hololive EN is that you managed to get a group of completely different personalities and merged them into a really fun generation. There's a vtuber in EN that anyone can enjoy.
It just makes you wonder how the hiring dept. decides on who to become the next employees. Was there something in their audition tape or questionnaire that they somehow divined that they would become successful? Was Mio involved with her tarot cards? Is Yagoo a secret genius? Some of them had online lives before coming to Hololive, but something this company does catapults them into popularity that their previous lives just weren't doing for them. Congrats to them and to many more years of success!
Gura hit 3 million subs a month or two ago, over taking Kizuna AI for most subs period. She's the biggest vtuber in the industry right now... ... The Apex Predator... The Metal Megalodon.
I can definitely relate to Ame, she's the type that will be very fun to hangout with once you get into her comfortable zone. Outside of that she will be shy and quiet and keeping to herself. That's why Gura and Ame interaction feel so natural when they collab together. But on Fan Expo if you watched, she was pretty quiet and nervous compare to Gura.
Gura has talked about how soon after first meeting Ame (before debut) the two of them were razzing each other as if they were old friends. They just naturally clicked.
Kiara and Gura colabs are my favorite. Their chemistry is insane, it is a little hard to believe now days that they were awkward to each other at so point. But I am really happy that they are warmed up to each other. And it is only thank to Gura I discovered the other Holo girls. So Kiara get at least my sub from Gura's popularity. She 100% deserve it, but if not for shork I would never stumble upon this majestic birb.

Lol Kiara was awkward for every mem but calli because she doesnt mince words and says what she wants. Very blunt. In some collabs with gura, ame, and ina, thered be quite a few awkward moments because of kiaras bluntness that annoyed and angered them. And in some full collab streams, if calli was away, kiara would be in an awkward position, kind of a 4th wheel. Good God they all warmed up to eachother and you can now see how strong all of their bonds are with eachother. Kiara really interested me the most as she was the one to be the most troubled in bonding with everyone. You can really see just how hard working she was to support, be closer, and show compassion to her fellow mates over the year. Very proud of this chicken. Why she is a favorite of mine.
Ngl, I think everyone including the JP side would have felt inferior to the smol shark since she took over the vtuber world in a flash, leaving FBK and Korone behind. But despite that she's still very popular among the JP girls as you can see in all the collabs.
It's to be expected considering who she used to be, I think most of the subs that boosted her growth tremendously in the beginning were already her fans before. If she wasn't as well-known in a previous life, she probably would've grown in pretty much the same speed as the rest of her genmates.
I feel sad that she might feel pressured with her sub count. Great for her for being able to blend in smoothly with her fellow hololive talents. I am proud of the shork
I can see why she would feel inferior to Gura, tbh most Hololive members in general probably had that feeling at some point since she basically speedrunned her success on the internet (which doesn't surprise me considering her past) and took over the Vtuber community in weeks but at the same time it's probably just a lack of communication on both part, I'm pretty sure Gura is way more shy than she lets on, you can see it by she used to react when some JP senpai came to watch her stream. And Gura really don't seem to care about things like numbers, i remember when she got to 2M she didn't do a celebration stream at first because she felt like people would think she was bragging and Kiara had to talk to her and make her understand that it's ok to celebrate something that you achieved. Also, Kiara has honestly no reason to feel that way on the human side of things, every Hololive member is skilled in their own right. Gura has a talent for everything that includes music: singing, playing instruments, rhythm games, maybe dancing we can't know until Holomyth get real 3d models. Kiara may not sing as well but she has good rhythm also, she's great gamer, she's multilingual, she has great communication skills, she knowledgeable on a lot of subjects, she funny. Like she has no reason to feel inferior to anybody. She's great and i'm glad she realized it with time and got more confident in herself, and also glad they became closer and developed a real friendship.

I'm just really proud of Kiara. She has a come a long way. Kiara is literally the second most superchatted in HoloEN, she always makes things really interesting for me and as a huge fan of Calli (even before) I do agree when she said that Calli has a girly side.

I only watch some of their streams whenever Calli or Kiara don't have their own and support the other girls my own way, but I rarely ever hear Gura talk about her actual life, if you know what I mean. She sometimes talks about what happened to her days, but not the sensitive (which is understandable) but at the same time it makes you curious what really is going on with her. But then again, we watch and support them because they're fun and entertaining, not because of their RLs.
At first I saw Gura streaming, she blew me away, then came Ame like a thunderstorm with her debut, I was surprised how different (in every positive aspect) is she from the image I created after seeing her avatar. After that Calli - I'm a huge rap fan myself, so it's natural for me to like her instantly, and her voice is soothing, I love it. Tbh I neglected Kiara and Ina at first, but they grew on me in the past year. Ina with the puns and the chill streams, and Kiara with her cheerful, energetic personality. At the time I write this, I love all the girls & what they're doing, so much work and dedication goes into this HoloMyth project, and I hope they stay for a very long time and live a happy life :)

She probably felt like for someone that can speak the most language she probably felt she would be able to capture the most amount of people but to have the least subscriber out of the other holoEN it can be daunting especially when you are someone like Kiara who I felt gives 200% when ever she is live. Easily it would make anyone question what they are doing and make her feel like she is only riding the success of the other members. I truly hope she comes to accept her success. She is very talented and is apart of the so called "Genius Generation" nicked named by the JP branch. There might never be another generation of vtuber that will cause such an explosion in the scene.

@@EgoCarry1 Lammy recently came out and spoke about her first impression of HoloEN and how their debut kinda mentally broke the 5th Gen. She said the 5th Gen and others referred the Hololive EN members are "Genius Generation." Stating that all of the EN were so talent in art, language, raping and singing. Compared to them, the 5th gen felt out of place. But in the end she did say that they were fine with it now and the fact that she came out with it simply mean she and they are over it. Which is a great sign since they are all growing at great rate now If you find a few older clips of other member first impression, some of them do refer to HololiveEN as genius as well.

Kiara's blunt honesty is really respectable, Calli's down to earth casual vibe impressed me most and I've loved seeing Ina grow more confident.. Overall, great people, all of em. Kiara is the one that I’ve changed my opinion about the most. I thought she was the weak link of the group that only got in because she speaks three (?) languages. I was proven wrong as time went on and we heard stories of behind the scenes stuff it became obvious to me she’s definitely a “leader” and she’s very good at filling dead air in collabs always keeping the conversation going. I don’t watch her often but I’ve come to appreciate what she does for the group

I think a lot of vtubers like Matsuri look up to Gura, on how great she is as a Vtuber. She have been doing great since her debut and zoomed fast in terms of popularity. Feeling pressure especially since they're the same Gen is normal even senpais are proud and was shocked by it. I really like Kiara and Gura interactions even the earlier ones. Gura really did come like a Storm, starts talking about feet and refused to elaborate further.
In my opinion the best collabs in Hololive are never the formal collabs. Of course there are a lot of good ones but for me anyway even if the collab isn't as "good" I still enjoy impromptu stuff a lot more. For example, the other day Ina asking Bae to come chill in voice chat was just really nice, or the TTRPG episode 3 where they just talked for ages. That sort of friends chilling vibe is what I'm looking for the most, but unfortunately you can't really plan that kinda stuff it just sort of has to happen. But when it does its great.
Being the least subbed out of myth, its very understandable for kiara. Kiara herself is very talented with her multilanguage, her hard work and just being a very supportive mem and being bright. I mean man is each mem of myth amazing Im sure every holomem do feel that inferiority at times. Gen 5 of jp even said that it hit them quite hard being the closest ones that debuted just shortly before myth and we know just how big myth was.

Nah, Kiara told it intentionally, since she already said a long time ago that she wanted to do song collabs with all of her genmates. She already did one with Calli and Gura, so that leaves Ina and Ame. The song with Ina probably will come in December and the one with Ame next year .
I am actually impressed that now I like to watch all their streams when I can. Started with Gura because she clics with me easily. I dont enjoy streaming, vtubers and I am pretty against most trends. But she just works for me, and little by little started to like the rest. Kiara was the hardest for me to like, her voice tone is too high, but her personality when not playing dumb is great, like here in this video. I do appreciate she is the most involved and taking things seriously. I hope they get a better second year, want to see the collab when they all meet for real, and a non smol VR 3d version. XD Anyway. Their success is cemented on the hard work of the previous generations, and I hope they dont take things for granted.
Makes since Kiara feels inferior to Gura early on. She’s essentially EXPLODED when she debuted. She became the most subbed hololive member in like a month overtaking both Fubuki and Korone. Probably how the rest of Gen 4 felt when Coco exploded in popularity too
It seems most generations have their own standout that charges ahead. Fubuki, Aqua, Korone, Pekora, Coco, Botan, Gura, Kronii. Eventually it seems to even out or a dark horse like Nene can swoop in from behind, but every girl builds success in their own time and own way, and some arw simply a bit more Niche than the rest. I hope they can recognize that success isn't just found in numbers, because I've seen some of the girls have much smaller but much more devoted fanbases. KFP is a good example of devotion I'd say, Kiara had a real rough start, but I think her fans saw that and if you've paid attention, I think they've built a pretty close community with Kiara.

Please don’t encourage clippers with “fastest clipper” title. I’m pretty sure this is slowly becoming a No No for Hololive. Suisei herself posted about clippers uploading before the stream ends messes up with the algorithm and makes the clippers own the “original” content instead of them. Which probably the reason why we keep seeing random holomems getting terminated by TH-cam out of the blue.
Gura was already internet-famous under another name/persona/account. Kiara 's presumably surprised either because she was familiar with Gura's prior work and didn't realize they were the same person, or because said persona was an irreverent shitposting YABE Meme Queen at odds with Gura's innocent image.

Kiara has become my fav vtuber, she so great, but the others are very close. Hololive EN gen 1 is just too wonderful. I think Ina is the best gamer of all the five members, she has completed some hard games, but I want her to play DMC serie or bloodborne.

Ina and Kiara are both way more feminine tbh. Very emotionally sensitive. Calli’s got her girly side which stands out because of her also more masculine side, but the contrast doesn’t actually make the femininity any stronger.
To some fans at the start, Kiara did give off this "yabe bottom left" ...but now and especially these past few months. She's really grown past it and moved on, now she's a lot more sincere and perhaps is the most 'mature' or 'refined' out of HoloMyth, maybe even all of HoloEN. Especially when she does interview streams with other members, there is this certain air to her that makes it easier to communicate with her........like opening up to a therapist.
I dont want to say she per se “changed” but actually she was always like that. Clips just dont make justice for kiara as a whole. Theres also gotta be a reason why her fanbase are so attached to her (2nd most SCed holomyth iirc next to calli) and its because she is charismatic.
"Most mature and refined..." We're going to ignore a whole year of Ina or Calli not being anywhere close to where she was or is. Sounds like a bit of d-sucking and pedestalizing to me. I don't hate Kiara, but I think some of y'all have this weird idealistic vision of her that just isn't there.

I like Kiara, but I am glad she stopped pushing so hard for the whole Takamori thing. I didn't like it in the first place but I would never blame people for liking it, but it was one of the reasons that I kinda couldn't jive with her content, Also I found Calli way more interesting when she wasn't doing the whole faking being embarrassed bit so for a few times she kinda would drag her down a bit, atleast for me, but I'm glad that they're both better now.
Takamori was toned down like it now since months but people that don't follow her act surprised after the "official announcement". I repeat it's many months they don't flirt everytime they talk or something like it. Takamori is and was always a gag between the two but people pushed over the top. They both learned the lesson and let the love part of the ship dieing for good i hope. The friendly ship are always the best and the one that cause less problems in the long run apart from being good friend from real

I have to say Gura's the one that changed the most after a year with them, at least for me. Her confidence boost, her starting to be closer to her Japanese senpais and just her being more comfortable with herself in general is what made me proud of the little sharky. She's come pretty far as a person.

Yeah, Ina confidence is really the thing that stand out as the biggest change when it comes to our priestess, be it for the solo streams, the collabs or the karaokes, you can really tell the difference between now and then. I can see others things, but this sure is the biggest one for me.

I think that was when Gura began to drop the cute act that she saddled herself with in the beginning. Reflect was the final purging of her insecurities as she got all that out of her system.
I think it was the building of PPP that really set my impression of ame, you can tell that when she has a goal in mind then there’s no stopping her. That’s not to say the other girls aren’t hard workers, cuz they all really are
Kiara was the one member I knew absolutely nothing about but I stumbled into one of her super chat readings and the rest is history. Of all of the members though ame is definitely the one who has grown on me the most. The amount of effort and work she puts into everything she does is incredible, and that’s coming from an outside perspective without considering the absurd amount of work she puts in behind the scenes. There’s just something extremely comforting about her presence thats I have a hard time putting into words, but it’s something I’ve really come to love and respect.
Kiara's on the button, Ina's a complete student of games. She's very good at both knowing to improve, and having the diligence and willpower to put in the work. I wonder if her artistry is part of that. A long (but not that long, no brainpats please priestess) life of honestly confronting her own flaws and improving upon them.
yeah you can see how far Gura and Kiara was back then even after doing their first collab i kinda feel they still nervous to each other. Back then whenever kaira and gura in the same collab they even rarely talk to each other. thats why i am glad when they decide to do cover song together and gura started to be brave to tease kiara and even roast her like in minecraft, i like how she be more open to kiara. she even called kiara kiwawa now 😂

Let's just say, Gura wasn't happy with how her life went on her previous channel, it wasn't healthy for her, now she feels better, more happy and in-tune with herself. What I meant is, Kiara's and Gura's previous selves seem core different to me, and given that Gura was already quite popular on YT before Hololive, I get why Kiara felt distant and inferior. Also, it's considered bad among the fans to outright name previous accounts of Vtubers, who wanna know more, may search, it's not that hard to find, whole Google filled with the info already.

It’s kind of funny when she says she can’t mention something about Gura. Those of us that know of the cursed knowledge understand why anyone would feel inferior to her when first starting out. Glad they are all able to be friends. Life is too short to have inferiority complexes or being jealous, people. Be content with who you are, because who you are and who you can be is already great (please don’t be nitpicky and use negative examples XD).
I pretty much think that gura doesnt want to talk much to people that she havent given her full trust (might be because of her bad experience in the past) that is why it took long for her to talk with kiara (in private). Maybe this will be fixed when they meet in irl....
Ame is sort of the same way. There has been some sad things that happened to her past life. I think that’s why she and Gura can relate easily, and they’ve also known each other before Hololive. That being said, Kiara’s past is VERY sad too and she’s talked about some of it on stream. I hope they meet up one day too, and understand each other even more.

@Tony Gao I'd say Kizuna Ai was "dethroned" a long time ago, more precisely when her original VA left. The company decided to hire multiple girls to work behind Kizuna, which took away her essence and turned her into a plastic marketing tool. The company kept dangling her corpse like a marionette because she's a pioneer with a lot of subscribers, even if her videos struggle to break even the 100k views mark nowadays.
Also, I wouldn't say Gura's success in the past was comparable to how Kizuna went viral back in the day. Gura's YT channel wasn't even a vtuber channel, and she wasn't a vtuber for very long.

Amelia and Gura seem like just two people hanging out, like all the hololive stuff aside, which is why I assume they collab so often. Gura really doesn't collab much either (I mean only recently has she even collabed with the jp branch, before that it was Indonesia and Roboco).
They're both just introverted. Their previous persona's used to follow eachother before they purged everything.
That previous history probably helped with collaborations a lot.
It could also just be related to Timezones, Language Barriers, and overall Shyness. Though Gura lately has been getting very friendly with JP along with Ina since the Umisea collab and also Gura's love for Shion.
Ame, on the other hand, is a bit more complicated. She's friendly and caring to her gen-mates (like she often checks in on them to see if they're okay) and even to others beyond HoloMyth. She has collabed with Roboco and Ollie, and she was brought to Kiryu Coco's Reddit Shitpost review just before Coco's graduation.
It could be that Ame does have this...underlying fear of keeping herself in check around her gen-mates when doing collabs. Like people often like to make jokes that Ame radiates gremlin energy but I don't think her other gen-mates are aware of that side of Ame... but the only other person who knows and has been able to match Ame's gremlin side is Gura. Hence why they collab so much. (This is just a theory and pure conjecture so take it with a grain of salt.)

Absolutely, I even remember she was a bit of a crybaby early on whenever there was technical issues. Early EN Curse was not fully respected or known, and now that the curse is known and joked about takes sooo much pressure off of them when issues do arise. Helped Council feel less stressed about their tech issues too when they say they are getting hit by the curse.
But back to Kiara. Kiara has always been the extrovert of myth, but her self esteem is the thing that has changed the most. Seeing both Kiara and Ina early on have the least subs compared to their gen mates made me a bit worried for them, but KFP and the Takodochis being the more dedicated fans in myth blew away that worry a few months later.
As a Hoshiyomi, I wish we were more vocal about our love for our comet as much as KFP and the Takodochis are about their oshis.

Kiara needs to stop comparing herself to the other girls. She needs to be more confident in her own abilities. I understand why she felt the way she felt because in a way it kinda hurts a little a bit. But she needs to focus of giving the best version of herself she can be and let things flow naturally. I could tell that Kiara and Gura were distant from each other in the beginning because it took a long time for them to have their first collab (Japanese class). Also in their first Mario Kart collab Kiara mentioned her KFP employees and Gura had no idea what she was talking about, she didn't know anything about KFP lore. I'm glad they got closer to each other eventually.
Kiara is right about how surprising Calli is. Maybe I don't watch enough of her streams, but I was surprised when Calli talked about her tastes when it came to drinks and such. I think it's great how the Reaper Rapper has a taste pallet Gura compared to a child's. There is also how innocent she seems to be compared to the others.
I hope Ame grows past whatever it is that gets to her about collabs. She does have a tendency to be the quiet one when they do their group collabs, if she isn't in charge of it. Maybe she is just the type who withdraws a little when in groups.
I can't help but wonder what surprised Kiara about Gura that is a secret. I don't think it is that 'forbidden knowledge'. I think a lot of the girls felt a little intimidated when it came to Gura's fast growth, that includes Gura herself. I'm glad she is getting to interact more with the other girls now and they are getting a chance to know her beyond her growth in Hololive. I feel Gura is getting past her worries when it came to that, which will really help her and the others.
I like how Ina is Ina. She didn't really surprise others too much, which there is nothing wrong with because she is great how she is. You more or less knew what you would get with Ina early on, apart from the surprise of her artistic abilities.
At least with her genmates, Ame seems to prefer an observer role, she puts effort on them having a good time. As and introvert she seems to enjoy watching them a lot. As she often is lurking on their streams since day one.

@@Tom-101 I personally sometimes sleep on the floor because it might be too hot or something. Other than that I grew up camping so I was pretty used to that “floor” feeling. Using blankets, or just something to have under you helps if you do not like the feeling of a solid ground(unless you have carpet?). As for the dust, a quick mop and or sweep should do the trick!
Maybe if you are bored one night give floor sleeping a try! Do expect to feel soreness after though, it does vary person to person. Just make sure to have enough pillows, blankets, maybe futon like bedding especially as a first time!

I gotta say too that my impression on Kiara has changed over the year. I though she was that just that roleplaying try-hard kawaii anime vtuber, but turns out she has that great observing skills and criticizing skills both on games and on people, and she can explain everything she sees quite well and can explain well why she likes this and dislikes that. Its the feat I love on content creators.

Majority of hololive members as far as i know don't change their voice but there is quite a lot of them that do. Also i wouldn't call that faking it, since there are no nefarious reasons for doing so.

I was honestly not much of a fan of her because of the swearing, bluntness, and her multilanguage (i only know eng) discouraged me from watching her. After a while, she became one of my fave holomems. Her personality and talkativeness really grew on me and her game preferences align with mine.
Gura has probably had that effect on everyone. If she's not the highest subscribed vtuber, she's definitely in the top 5 and she's done that in a year. I still remember the days when we were wondering who would get 1 million first, Fubuki or Korone and then Gura just shows up and steals the show. I'm not saying Gura doesn't deserve it. Gura is a juggernaut. Its just I can understand why they would feel inferior. As for the rest. Calli is a lot of fun and she's probably the most involved with her fanbase. She's always bringing them up and her sheriff talk kills me. Ina is the type of vtuber I enjoy when I just want to destress. If I'm mad, stressed, or frustrated about something, Sora, Ina or Iku are my go to streamers when I need to calm down. Just have soothing personalities which go along well with their streams. I don't really watch much of Ame but she's probably the most important in terms of keeping everyone relevant and its got to be really hard on her to come up with these ideas. It's not just coming up with the ideas but also implementing them and wondering if they'll work well or flop. Takes a lot of courage and I really respect Ame for that. As for Kiara, I feel like Kiara keeps everyone together. She's the icebreaker that keeps everyone gravitating towards each other. She can talk to just about anyone and keep a conversation going as if it were second nature. She even knows many languages to keep the audience engaged with JP and other vtubers. She's the Senchou/Subaru of EN in a way.
I think what's great about Hololive EN is that you managed to get a group of completely different personalities and merged them into a really fun generation. There's a vtuber in EN that anyone can enjoy.
It just makes you wonder how the hiring dept. decides on who to become the next employees. Was there something in their audition tape or questionnaire that they somehow divined that they would become successful? Was Mio involved with her tarot cards? Is Yagoo a secret genius? Some of them had online lives before coming to Hololive, but something this company does catapults them into popularity that their previous lives just weren't doing for them.

I can definitely relate to Ame, she's the type that will be very fun to hangout with once you get into her comfortable zone. Outside of that she will be shy and quiet and keeping to herself. That's why Gura and Ame interaction feel so natural when they collab together. But on Fan Expo if you watched, she was pretty quiet and nervous compare to Gura.

Lol Kiara was awkward for every mem but calli because she doesnt mince words and says what she wants. Very blunt. In some collabs with gura, ame, and ina, thered be quite a few awkward moments because of kiaras bluntness that annoyed and angered them. And in some full collab streams, if calli was away, kiara would be in an awkward position, kind of a 4th wheel.
Good God they all warmed up to eachother and you can now see how strong all of their bonds are with eachother. Kiara really interested me the most as she was the one to be the most troubled in bonding with everyone. You can really see just how hard working she was to support, be closer, and show compassion to her fellow mates over the year. Very proud of this chicken. Why she is a favorite of mine.

It's to be expected considering who she used to be, I think most of the subs that boosted her growth tremendously in the beginning were already her fans before. If she wasn't as well-known in a previous life, she probably would've grown in pretty much the same speed as the rest of her genmates.

I can see why she would feel inferior to Gura, tbh most Hololive members in general probably had that feeling at some point since she basically speedrunned her success on the internet (which doesn't surprise me considering her past) and took over the Vtuber community in weeks but at the same time it's probably just a lack of communication on both part, I'm pretty sure Gura is way more shy than she lets on, you can see it by she used to react when some JP senpai came to watch her stream. And Gura really don't seem to care about things like numbers, i remember when she got to 2M she didn't do a celebration stream at first because she felt like people would think she was bragging and Kiara had to talk to her and make her understand that it's ok to celebrate something that you achieved. Also, Kiara has honestly no reason to feel that way on the human side of things, every Hololive member is skilled in their own right. Gura has a talent for everything that includes music: singing, playing instruments, rhythm games, maybe dancing we can't know until Holomyth get real 3d models. Kiara may not sing as well but she has good rhythm also, she's great gamer, she's multilingual, she has great communication skills, she knowledgeable on a lot of subjects, she funny. Like she has no reason to feel inferior to anybody. She's great and i'm glad she realized it with time and got more confident in herself, and also glad they became closer and developed a real friendship.

At first I saw Gura streaming, she blew me away, then came Ame like a thunderstorm with her debut, I was surprised how different (in every positive aspect) is she from the image I created after seeing her avatar. After that Calli - I'm a huge rap fan myself, so it's natural for me to like her instantly, and her voice is soothing, I love it. Tbh I neglected Kiara and Ina at first, but they grew on me in the past year. Ina with the puns and the chill streams, and Kiara with her cheerful, energetic personality. At the time I write this, I love all the girls & what they're doing, so much work and dedication goes into this HoloMyth project, and I hope they stay for a very long time and live a happy life :)

definitely understand her. She probably felt like for someone that can speak the most language she probably felt she would be able to capture the most amount of people but to have the least subscriber out of the other holoEN it can be daunting especially when you are someone like Kiara who I felt gives 200% when ever she is live. Easily it would make anyone question what they are doing and make her feel like she is only riding the success of the other members.

She said the 5th Gen and others referred the Hololive EN members are "Genius Generation." Stating that all of the EN were so talent in art, language, raping and singing. Compared to them, the 5th gen felt out of place. But in the end she did say that they were fine with it now and the fact that she came out with it simply mean she and they are over it. Which is a great sign since they are all growing at great rate now

Kiara is the one that I’ve changed my opinion about the most. I thought she was the weak link of the group that only got in because she speaks three (?) languages. I was proven wrong as time went on and we heard stories of behind the scenes stuff it became obvious to me she’s definitely a “leader” and she’s very good at filling dead air in collabs always keeping the conversation going.

In my opinion the best collabs in Hololive are never the formal collabs. Of course there are a lot of good ones but for me anyway even if the collab isn't as "good" I still enjoy impromptu stuff a lot more. For example, the other day Ina asking Bae to come chill in voice chat was just really nice, or the TTRPG episode 3 where they just talked for ages. That sort of friends chilling vibe is what I'm looking for the most, but unfortunately you can't really plan that kinda stuff it just sort of has to happen. But when it does its great.

I am actually impressed that now I like to watch all their streams when I can.
Started with Gura because she clics with me easily. I dont enjoy streaming, vtubers and I am pretty against most trends.
But she just works for me, and little by little started to like the rest. Kiara was the hardest for me to like, her voice tone is too high, but her personality when not playing dumb is great, like here in this video. I do appreciate she is the most involved and taking things seriously.
I hope they get a better second year, want to see the collab when they all meet for real, and a non smol VR 3d version. XD
Anyway. Their success is cemented on the hard work of the previous generations, and I hope they dont take things for granted.
Makes since Kiara feels inferior to Gura early on. She’s essentially EXPLODED when she debuted. She became the most subbed hololive member in like a month overtaking both Fubuki and Korone. Probably how the rest of Gen 4 felt when Coco exploded in popularity too
It seems most generations have their own standout that charges ahead. Fubuki, Aqua, Korone, Pekora, Coco, Botan, Gura, Kronii.
Eventually it seems to even out or a dark horse like Nene can swoop in from behind, but every girl builds success in their own time and own way, and some arw simply a bit more Niche than the rest.
I hope they can recognize that success isn't just found in numbers, because I've seen some of the girls have much smaller but much more devoted fanbases. KFP is a good example of devotion I'd say, Kiara had a real rough start, but I think her fans saw that and if you've paid attention, I think they've built a pretty close community with Kiara.

Yeah, Ina confidence is really the thing that stand out as the biggest change when it comes to our priestess, be it for the solo streams, the collabs or the karaokes, you can really tell the difference between now and then. I can see others things, but this sure is the biggest one for me.

I think that was when Gura began to drop the cute act that she saddled herself with in the beginning. Reflect was the final purging of her insecurities as she got all that out of her system.
I think it was the building of PPP that really set my impression of ame, you can tell that when she has a goal in mind then there’s no stopping her.

Kiara was the one member I knew absolutely nothing about but I stumbled into one of her super chat readings and the rest is history. Of all of the members though ame is definitely the one who has grown on me the most. The amount of effort and work she puts into everything she does is incredible, and that’s coming from an outside perspective without considering the absurd amount of work she puts in behind the scenes. There’s just something extremely comforting about her presence thats I have a hard time putting into words, but it’s something I’ve really come to love and respect.
I simply love Kiara teaching Gura Japanese and German. Those were funny as hell 🤣

Ame is sort of the same way. There has been some sad things that happened to her past life. I think that’s why she and Gura can relate easily, and they’ve also known each other before Hololive. That being said, Kiara’s past is VERY sad too and she’s talked about some of it on stream. I hope they meet up one day too, and understand each other even more.

i can totally agree how kiara see ame, you could tell back then that collabs with more than one person she keeps to herself most of the time..i think she had gotten a little better...also agree that she is very hard working and always tries to make her streams unique and fun, love that about her

I believe I'm correct when I say that Kiara earned a lot of people's respect after her comforting words towards a terminally ill child. You never forget that act of kindness. She doesn't have to worry about being "inferior".
I'm glad that she doesn't feel inferior to Gura anymore ^^ (Also, Im not sure why, but it made me happy when she started out with Calli, she didn't thirst over her at all, Kiara is more than just bottom/left thirsting for Calli and I'm glad she's trying to get rid of that image of her
