This is a bitter truth. In the UK, Indians and Pakistanis fill all jobs ranging from management level to entry level. English kids do not get opportunities at least an entry-level job and rely on govt benefits or work in MC Donald's. I am also an immigrant. But I always feel bad about how the UK job sector has been looted and corrupted. Also, tax frauds in business and housing owned by these people. A total failure of UK politics. While I agree with your disappointment and anger here’s a few details you may not be aware of. Consultants are hired for things that applicants are not aware of. For example, a candidate may provide necessary documents and supporting paperwork, but an immigration officer can deny PR or any visa without giving a reason. While many would agree that it seems fair or wonder why it should bother others, genuine applicants don’t understand the reason behind rejection. Additionally, it does put a smear on their profile when they re-apply. In India, specifically there are a lot of immigration consultants who scam people or provide ways to get to any country exploiting loopholes. Once they are in the country, people are on their own and think they’re entitled to certain rights. There are clear problems with the system but the government turns a blind eye and people take advantage of the loop holes. On the other hand, universities, colleges do have their teams in India and other countries, selling the Canadian dream and way of life and people trust them because of course- why would these people lie. I believe independent research is a must because people take loans, even sell their assets to fund their education. The real question shouldn’t be PR or immigration, it should be education. There’s a lot of money flowing in from students not only from India but other countries which contribute to the Canadian economy. The real question should be towards the courses offered to students - whether they actually have any value in terms of securing a job, adding value to the industry and economy. There was an independent survey done in Australia about the degrees and coursework that were created to lure students and it was found that close to 70% of the courses have no real value after graduation. They don’t result in getting any jobs but are a means to pump money through the education route. So same research should be done with these colleges and universities and see if they add any value to the economy.
Not only these immigration consultants should close down, but every visa, every PR that has been given to their "clients," should be taken back. The "consultants" should be banned from entering Canada again. Their clients could sue them and recover their money, but honestly, i wouldn't care less.

I am a native born Canadian and I worked for years to get a masters degree, and when I did it still took me 6 months to secure a part time job, and another year to convert that to a full time position. My first day on the job I was one of two new hires, the other a chubby Indian teenager who first entered Canada a few months before that. I asked her how she got the job, she said there is a government program to place immigrants in jobs. Our government truly sees us as dirty peasants at best. Not surprised these consultants are making a career out of facilitating this at our expense.
They replaced all indigenous Walmart workers in Selkirk, MB and replaced them with international students from India. One of the international students felt so entitled and abused me with another one of his people (they only hire their own), which now has me shopping at stores that only hire local students who need a job. No more jobs for our school aged kids. Those days are long gone.

My taxi driver was "attending" an online course while he was driving. When I asked him what was so important, he told me he was trying to become an immigration consultant. He said he was already doing it for free. Looking at him, I didn't feel that he was a person of integrity, especially being distracted while driving and neither paying attention to the course or to the road. Canada is no longer a first world country. I need to gtfo.
I'm an immigrant and I support this channel. Before I am criticised, I'm in a white collar job and pay $1500 in taxes every 2 weeks and have been doing so since the last 5 years. I never took EI, CERB, and am not smart enough for scholarships. I contribute to Canadian society to the best of my ability. I genuinely hope there are meaningful changes to the immigration policy. For the longest time, Canada has tried to solve its productivity problems by throwing thousands of people (low cost labour) at it. All it has got for this is uncompetitive monopolies. Canada really needs skilled, educated workers, better scrutiny of applications, it needs policy changes. Immigrants won't stop coming out of the goodness of their hearts and they won't leave just because you grin at them. Make your politicians accountable. The disconnect and lack of accountability is glaring, and for a first world, educated country, it is frankly disgusting to see JT, Jagmeet and so many taking Canadians for a ride.

As a 30 year veteran of driving truck long haul i have seen the entire industry change for the worse. They park anywhere, drive unsafe with their left leg up on the dash, they drive too fast with illegal ungoverned trucks. If you look at their trucks they have their bumper a bumper all busted up, bunk extensions all dented, bald tires, and they have their side window drapes pulled as they drive so they can watch movies and text while they drive the highways. i used to work at a community college. We had an agent in India we'd send photo copier boxes full of applications to, at our cost, and he sold them for $100 US each to potential students. The students would have falsified academic records, second language testing etc. Its a very corrupt system.

The customers knew our names, our life story, gave us christmas dinner and helpdd when we were in crisis in our lives like family. My taxi driver was "attending" an online course while he was driving. When I asked him what was so important, he told me he was trying to become an immigration consultant. He said he was already doing it for free. Looking at him, I didn't feel that he was a person of integrity, especially being distracted while driving and neither paying attention to the course or to the road. Canada is no longer a first world country. I need to gtfo.

I'm an immigrant and I support this channel. Before I am criticised, I'm in a white collar job and pay $1500 in taxes every 2 weeks and have been doing so since the last 5 years. I never took EI, CERB, and am not smart enough for scholarships. I contribute to Canadian society to the best of my ability.
I genuinely hope there are meaningful changes to the immigration policy. For the longest time, Canada has tried to solve its productivity problems by throwing thousands of people (low cost labour) at it. All it has got for this is uncompetitive monopolies. Canada really needs skilled, educated workers, better scrutiny of applications, it needs policy changes. Immigrants won't stop coming out of the goodness of their hearts and they won't leave just because you grin at them. Make your politicians accountable. The disconnect and lack of accountability is glaring, and for a first world, educated country, it is frankly disgusting to see JT, Jagmeet and so many taking Canadians for a ride.

As a 30 year veteran of driving truck long haul i have seen the entire industry change for the worse. They park anywhere, drive unsafe with their left leg up on the dash, they drive too fast with illegal ungoverned trucks. If you look at their trucks they have their bumper a bumper all busted up, bunk extensions all dented, bald tires, and they have their side window drapes pulled as they drive so they can watch movies and text while they drive the highways. But the government doesn't care about your safety on Canadian road. They are putting fresh new untrained drivers on the same highways you and your loved ones also travel on. i used to work at a community college. We had an agent in India we'd send photo copier boxes full of applications to, at our cost, and he sold them for $100 US each to potential students. The students would have falsified academic records, second language testing etc. Its a very corrupt system.

The customers knew our names, our life story, gave us christmas dinner and helpdd when we were in crisis in our lives like family. Two helpdd my mom when she was homeless to move her storage locker stuff to safety when she lost it.
I couldnt handle the contrast. Really made me mourn how it used to be.
