the way you spoke about wanting friends who have the same interests as you really hit me hard. i’ve had the same conversation with my partner and i’ve cried about it many times. as a 24 year old girlie, i just want friends who read as much as me and have the same interests.
me too! I see soooo many book girlies on TH-cam, insta, TikTok, and so many of them have friends who enjoy reading....and yet where I am, literally no one else I've ever met reads at all. I've never met in real life another person that likes to read and it really fucking sucks because reading is such a big part of my life and I have no one to share it with, no one to get excited, or gush and rant about books with. And the people who are in my life literally missing out on a big chunk of my life and who I am. It really really sucks. To the point that I think I'm actually going to make a TH-cam myself and hopefully will be able to meet people and create a small community of my own, even if the friends I make are all over the world. Hopefully we find bookish people to share our passion with soon!
It's amazing how internet friends in this community become ACTUAL friends and how deep the sense of belonging is amongst other book lovers. I felt the way you did for YEARS and what a stinking blessing it is to now not feel that way. I love it so much and I'm brand new to it! So glad you're a part of this community!!

I’m currently reading book 6 but I feel like the series will have 12 books just like the 12 zodiac signs. I also feel like I can’t stop reading the series because I’ve spent way too much time, money and tears on it 😭
Yeah I’m with your theory on 12 books. The series gets so good at halfway through 7. You should honestly invest in a kindle. They are lifesavers the whole series is on kindle unlimited and even if you don’t get that you can download the pdf version onto your kindle and enjoy it that way.

Yes for bookish clothes!!!! My wardrobe consists of books, bands, and bikes. Anytime I fall hard for a book I want to wear it, I obvi can’t go to a concert without hitting up the merch table, and same goes for Harley festivals- can’t leave without merch. ♌️

I LOVE the Zodiac Academy! Best series ever! I finished book 8 and omggg I can’t wait til book 9 comes out! I started reading the Ruthless Fae 5 book series from the same authors and it’s set 5 years before Zodiac Academy. It’s sooo good it has Gabriel Nox and Leon in it….SO good! So if you’re finished w Zodiac, start this one it’ll help you with the withdrawals from missing Zodiac!

Ok, so I found these books on booktok and read the first 4 and then moved on to the ruthless boys of the zodiac. I’m on book 5 of it now which is the last one and can’t wait to start back on book 5 zodiac but I’m scared too! These books are so addictive and I’m gonna read darkmore penitentiary. I’m fully invested in this world! Your vlog has me wanting to finish my book as Fast as possible now!

I got emotional hearing your reaction to book 6 😭 Because that's where I am right now and they are the thoughts that I'm having right now because I haven't read the 7th book yet. I REFUSED. Because I know that that's going to be the WORST, MOST PAINFUL THING EVER. I refused to read it until the 8th book is out because I refuse to suffer through the 7th book and it being left at a cliffhanger, because I know that I'll just be broken if I can't see some sort of resolve after (if there will be any - the 8th book IS called "Sorrow and Starlight"...So that's great 😐). It's almost December now, and the authors announced last month there will be a 9th book 😳. I'm equal parts sad and happy, but I'm still going to read the 7th and 8th book as I planned in December, because it's just been so, so long since I read the 6th book (8 months to be exact) and I just can't wait any longer, I need to know what happens 😭. I am so, so terrified to read the 7th book, but I NEED TO KNOWWW!!

I felt the same with book 8! It was my least favourite, but I can tell you that book 9 it’s soo good. I’m on 65% and it is a nice book to put you back up! FYI 100% action until 65% 😂 but so far so good, I just hope they make a satisfying ending to this series.

I feel you, being a doctor you think my friends are into reading, they’re not. So i’ve been a lone reader and so desperate to share the books that i read and excited about, but they’re just nonexistent..
i had to put the series down for about a week after book 4 to just take a break and read other books and i think that helped me enjoy and appreciate books 5, 6 and 7 more.. but i can see why you would be tired of it by book 7 (even though it's my favorite book in ZA). The authors said every main character will have a HEA but i cant see how it's even gonna happen lmao ♎
I wish I had taken a break instead of binging the series honestly! I think I would’ve had a better time in the latter half lol. I’m glad to hear the characters have HEA but I agree… how the heck are we going to get there?!

I did the same at book 6, just to take a break and simmer abit. I love the series but the worsening of events were no joke honestly. I picked up a rom com to help lighten up the mood, then will get back to reading book 6.

This book series was recommended to me…. I read a lot. I am like a crackhead with books… I haven’t ever been this in love and this destroyed in a long time. So many emotions. I am currently reading book 7. I was power reading them but I am so scared to push through. About book 5 I slowed down significantly because I just had too many emotions to continue at the pace I was going.

♏I just finished Shadow Princess (literally today) and your exhaustion at the end of Heartless Sky is how I feel CURRENTLY at the end of book 4. I was worried that it would continue to be plotless, mindless drama, and just doing things for the sake of doing it, and after seeing your thoughts I'm not sure that I should continue on. Especially after seeing that they're adding a 9th book. What are your thoughts about the fact that book 8 is no longer going to be the finale of this series
im currently at cursed fates 77% done and your reaction scares me😅I honestly cant remember how i found this series bc it wasnt tok surprisingly (based off the comments and YT searching about this series) but i hate and love it. It first made me feel icky with the 1st book bc the bullying was so ruthless to a point of cruel. I kept on and the yo yoing of good then bad keeps me on the string😂many said a huge thing in the end happens at the end of book 5 that made them stop reading the series which tells me i need to prepare for an important death🥺😱
Omg watching this was like watching a mirror, I read this series when I got covid so I read straight through. Then proceeded to rant and scream on the phone with my best friend after like every chapter.
I am on Heartless sky. (Book 7 i think) I love them althou book 7 is dragging but the story has to drag a bit for plot to be realistic. I am so invested in the characters i cant stop.

This series gets a lot of hate, but I just believe it hits a tone more so than nit picking the writing. "Silent as air" actually fits the tone of this world the author built. I can get past it. And I know what I like it gets right to that. I totally agree with you.

If you read the 8th book already out, you get what i'm about to say but if not, everything you disliked in book 7th, book 8th is worst. Honestly the series somehow lost me after book 7th. I gave it 2stars.
