Man after loving this band since 94’ they still just amaze me with the confidence and skill they have and play like they do. It’s just magical and I can’t get enough.
94 for me too and I go every summer because the magic and positivity carries me through the whole year
New kids on the block, eh? 😉 93 I bought Rift on a whim. But 94 was actually my first show. Right there w yall too on all of it. Headed to deer creek a Grand Rapids w my pal I met last summer, an he’s been on board since the mid 80s. This shit keeps getting better. It’s medicine. So grateful.

Its all subjective as we know,but 94 is thee year imho.Not even close.They hit euphoria every song in 94.

Everytime i see Trey alive and sober playing With, it puts things in perspective. To think, 20 years ago he couldn't figure out what key it was in.

AMEN TO BOTH COMMENTS. Been there since 96 myself couldn’t agree more they keep outdoing themselves. Leaving all of us with our Jaws hanging year after year. Thankfully Trey pulled him self out of the trenches back in mid 00s or nobody would be able to experience them getting better and better. Church is in session once again
Loved this venue....soooooo going back. And the "with" was such a nice surprise. Overall a pretty tight 3 songs. Sometimes it doesn't have to be a 40-minute jam/version to give your soul a woody.
40 minute jams are overrated

This could be on the level of 1.0 again. Trey said in the recent interviews he feels they are playing better than they ever have. I think the wisdom might be king here.

I went to the tour opener. No doubt a great show! Fun and I had a blast. There's some differences tho in current Phish vs 1.0&2.0 Phish. One of the biggest, their catalog. They have a lot of new songs that are rip roarers. They are a bit more snoozy and dad rock. Different style. Second, their age and the fact that Trey doesn't really shred like he used to. It is what it is, doesn't mean it's NOT AWESOME, it's just not why I fell in love with Phish. Technically speaking, they are playing very well now. This second set tho, for me would have been destroyed by the song choices that followed..at least they got a Fluffhead to close out. Just my .02 we had tickets to Monde Green and we sold em. To me, I'm just not willing to spend that much cash and travel anymore for them. I'll catch them if I'm close by tho!

I'm not really a big Phish fan, more of a Deadhead, but I'm from Rhode Island, close to Weekapaug. I remember that party that they played at, after which they came up with the basis of Weekapaug Groove on their way home. I wasn't at the actual party cuz Weekapaug was rich kids territory and lower peons like myself weren't invited to many of their parties. I do remember a buzz around town that a "cool Dead cover band from Vermont" were coming down to play there.

@jayredz7807 Phish I've only seen 5 times, the last time was around 2005 or something. The Grateful Dead I saw 48 times before Jerry died. I've tried a few of the incarnations without him, but it just makes me sad. I think it's great they're still playing for the kids who never saw the real thing, but it's not for me.
@@richardsiciliano7117 Understood! The early 2000s were kinda rough for Phish as their final show was to be 2004.
I will always consider myself a deadhead first, although I never had the chance to see them. I was so new to the scene, and at only 15 with Jerry's passing, I eventually jumped onto Phish in 96. And since Phish and GD really sound very little alike, I can still enjoy them respectively without being concerned about any comparisons.

Not to say this one was bad it was funky and great lights but i go back to 12/11/99 when Week actually ejected my soul from my body.
everything in my life feels smaLL, and somehow insignificant. I keep myself up with acting how I'm supposed to; efforts like taking care of myself, work, those types of things everyone does. But, sometimes, it gets too real and depressing. The more you do, the more you lose the flavor. It's about reframing I'm sure. Although, when I'm listening to this band, these guys, man...everything feels as what freedom must taste like...

Honestly nowhere near as bad as Spring Tour last year. Mike can actually be heard. I'm waiting for them to remix those shows if it's even possible. Honestly hard to relisten and Spring Tour 23 was awesome
