1 - High City Taxes and house prices becoming too high ( pretty much on par to Edmonton now as of Nov/ 23 )
2 - You need a car for everything
    3 - No City transit
4 - Very limited Uber service. At times there is no service at all. if you want to go Edmonton expect to pay $100.00 for a 2 way trip
5 - Constant Loud Noisy Rail Trains all day and night. Especially at night and it doesn't seem to matter how far away from the tracks you live
6 - Lots of traffic noise from both 16A and the Yellow Head hywy all day long
7 - Lots of traffic noise in the neighbourhoods due to many loud trucks, SUVs and motorcycles speeding and spinning tires even through school and park zones posted at 30km
8 - Neighbourhoods have lots of barking dogs day and night and the City won't do anything regarding barking dogs ( btw I am a animal lover, but come on people your not living on a acreage )
9 - If you need any kind of home service or delivery from Edmonton expected to pay extra due to the fact they don't want to drive 30 minutes and back from Edmonton
10 - For adults there is absolutely nothing to do.
11 - If your single stick to the Edmonton. if your looking for a peace and quiet move to Stony Plain

Fight for a commuter rail line to Spruce Grove. It is only going to get busier.

what are the job opportunities there, and do they do visa sponsorship?

Hi Paul, lots of opportunities and any visa sponsorships would be specific to individual businesses so you could research to see which ones would offer that for your specific skill set. Feel free to email me if you have any questions.
