just to say, there's a few things we _need_ in the smartboard v5.
In the smartboard v5, please make the remote bluetooth as i'm commonly not able to use the remote due to the desk being in the way. I'd also like an actual eraser, and a menu that pops up when a pencil is grabbed. and rather than the iQ menu, can we just have a normal android home ui

Bro they just replaced all boards with these ones, so i wanted to get one for myself, but they are like, 4000€
can you use "smart ink" pen to annotate over something that is being mirrored to the display? I'm having trouble doing this...I can just use a "finger" or the back of the pen to write??

Thanks for the question.
First, determine which screen share method is being used on your display. Go to Settings > Screen Share > Default Screen Share App. Note which screen share is selected.
Screen Share
When you’re sharing a device’s screen to the display using Screen Share or SMART Mirror, you can use the display’s pen to draw over the display’s screen. Use the pen’s tip and not the end of the pen. See support.smarttech.com/docs/redirect/?product=iq&context=acetates for more information.
SMART Mirror
When you’ve downloaded the SMART Mirror app to your Windows or Mac computer you can make notes on the display’s screen, see support.smarttech.com/docs/redirect/?product=iq&context=app-tools-mirror.

We are trying to use the native screen sharing from our laptop/mobile to the smart board but it gives an error when we press the screen share icon on the smart board itself "We were unable to activate SMART Mirror with your key. Please check and try again ".

My screen just keeps saying connecting and not showing my screen for the HDMI sections
Can I download the smart notebook software directly to the smartboard OS or is it possible only in a laptop? Thank you
Hi Alexandre, thanks for the comment.
You can’t install SMART Notebook on a SMART Board interactive display. You have to install SMART Notebook software on a computer and then connect the computer to the display. See support.smarttech.com/docs/redirect/?product=iq&context=input for more information.
If you want to open SMART Notebook files on your display, you have some options.
If you’ve uploaded your SMART Notebook files to your Lumio by SMART lesson library or shared SMART Notebook files to the display, you can sign in and view them. See support.smarttech.com/docs/redirect/?product=iq&context=file-sync.
You can save SMART Notebook files to a USB drive and then import them to the whiteboard. See support.smarttech.com/docs/redirect/?product=iq&context=import-pdfs-whiteboard.
when using the smart mirror, Touch is not working and as well as sound

Thank you for your reaching out to us. Depending on the system and method you use to run SMART Mirror, some functionality may not be available. Take a look at the table on the following support page to see which features your setup includes:

Also note that with the latest release of iQ on MX-V3 and 6000S-V3 displays (August 19, 2022), the audio feature works when using SMART Mirror in a web browser like Chrome.

@@SMARTSupportVideos Is there a way to uninstall smartmirror and install smart screen share? smartmirror is limited.

If you want to change the default app on your SMART display, you can do that in Settings.
Select Settings > Screen Share > Default Screen Share app and select SMART Screen Share instead of SMART Mirror. If you haven’t downloaded Screen Share before, you’ll be prompted to download it. From now on, your display will use the SMART Screen Share app by default.
If you want to uninstall SMART Mirror and install SMART Screen Share on a connected device, you can do that too.
Uninstall SMART Mirror as you would normally on your device, and then go to the iQ experience Downloads page linked below, where you can find the SMART Screen Share apps download file suitable for your device (for example, Chrome OS devices)

I want to connect my smart document camera 650 to the smartboard. I downloaded the smart doccam app and the app detected the camera via wifi. I took the wifi dongle and put it in the USB port on the board. But the smart board can not pair with the cam. P2P connection is failed, is shown on display. I need help. What can I do else?

Thank you for your question. There are two ways you can install the SMART Document camera app:
• Download and install the software on a windows/mac pc
• Download and install the software directly to IQ
Now, the Wi-Fi dongle used for P2P connection can only work if connected to a computer and not directly connected to the board, unless you connect the Wi-Fi dongle to a PCM8/PCM11 module running Windows OS (inserted in the IFP).
If the Document Camera software is installed directly to IQ; Only Wi-Fi connection and direct USB connection is possible.
Please refer the customer to the SDC-650 support page: Connecting to a computer or display (support.smarttech.com/docs/accessories/document-cameras/document-camera-650/en/setting-up/connecting-camera.cshtml), this page discusses the process (step-by-step) for P2P connection.

The resolution of the screen with IQ its not 4k or less than connected to a MacBook. Why’s it like that?
Hi, and thank you for your question. The display is a 4K UHD (3840x2160) display. The iQ system software will upscale apps to fit the 4K display, Any connected computers may also scale their display output, depending on the individual computer's settings.

My board doesn't show whiteboard in apps. How to fix this?
Thank you for your question. The Whiteboard app icon is currently unavailable in Apps but you can find and launch the Whiteboard app from the Home screen, located under Favorites. In the next iQ system software release, the Whiteboard app icon will be added to Apps.

In the smart board v5, can you make the pen have a battery so this doesn't happen? and also have a little dock-like thing that shows when you grab the pen, so it's easier to change colors, and make the back of the pen an eraser@@SMARTSupportVideos
