Does using these tapering tools not shorten your arrow length after you've measured it to the correct draw Length? 🤔🤔

Yes and no, the pile/point is longer than the taper that the tool makes, so the length remains similar to what you are cutting the shaft to. Though I would not recommend cutting the shaft to your exact draw length, I would allow an inch or two for safety.

Hi, how would you taper shafts at different sizes? e.g. i need a taper tool for 9/32 shafts but can't seem to find one. Thanks

Hi, we use some masking tape on the end of the shaft to bulk out its diameter then CAREFULLY use a 5/16 taper tool. It takes a bit of practice so you may want to use a spare shaft before using the ones you are going to make arrows from.
