I agree, you did a great job specially with that 'jig' no messing around and your voice was calm and clear..oh and your hands clean and tidy.. Good job! More please! Suzie in London
Great video. I love how thorough you are - that you take the time to summarize the video in the description. Looking forward to seeing some more videos from you.
I've been watching a lot of paracord videos lately and this was THE BEST I've come across! Having a grip on the cobra stitch helped but you conveyed a new pattern technique in half the time of other videos. I only backed up the video once to re-watch your start. Good job!
thanks for showing how to do a paracord bracelet with a side clasp. I do a lot of bracelets using other videos which use knot and loop which look nice, but a lot of people rather have a clasp for secure wearability. This one I will make using hot pink and white but it would look good in black and gold too.
I use 5/8, this is what i started with and now its what i prefer. If you need to loop through a buckle twice you can do it, if you use a smaller it would be more difficult. I also like that size because it matches the width pretty good of a normal cobra weave, (well it looks good compared to the width)
Thank you for sharing! Enjoy your video! You would not think it was your first time very good Thanks! Yes, you have a very calm voice nice to listening.
I enjoyed the video a lot, thanks. One observation, in the pop up box with the cord length measurements show everything in inches, not a big deal as you narration was spot on. Thanks again.
Thank you!! This video really helped! Just starting out making these . My son likes to make them and sell them to his friends. This gives him another way and loves to try diffferent ways. Thanks for taking the time! I look froward to more of your videos.
Great video. I've been making bracelets for a while and have never seen this knot pattern. Love it! Your video was well done. And, I love your jig. I've been using a clipboard, but your system is much better. Thanks for sharing and welcome to TH-cam.
I have bought from all over, both in person and online mainly in 100ft hanks. I now almost solely buy from Survival-Pax, I stick with their E.L. Wood brand, its high quality and has a good weave that does really well for paracord projects. Its the not the cheapest you can find but its also not the most expensive, but I like knowing what brand I am going to get and knowing what to expect. The Gladding brand cheaper but is tightly wove and flat which tends to kink while making things.
Yeah I have had that problem before to seeing a patern and no tutorials for making it its a long dark path sometimes however this tutorial of yours pretty nice explaining your findings for something you saw elsewhere Nice job Thank you for sharing
I THOUGHT THIS VIDEO WAS ONE OF THE BEST I'VE SEEN ON YOU TUBE. "GOOD JOB FOR YOUR FIRST ATTEMPT." I liked how fast and to the point you were. It's great for people that no how to make them already. But....you might want to add info. about the materials you used and also explain how to start and finish the ends. Just for the ones that are newer at it. Loved It!!!! THIS WOULD MAKE AN AWSOME DOG COLLAR.....
I use 550 paracord and it works well. I also know of a lot of people that use 450 paracord since its a bit thinner, either type would work just fine. Amazon usually has great deals for both types of cord and a multitude of colors.
I found that using 325 paracord is a lil harder as it's a little more slippery then the 550, but the pattern comes out better and lays a whole lot flatter against my wrist. Great video!! Thanks!! :)
Exactly, :) because bracelets made of paracord are considered "survival bracelets" (due to having spare rope on you at all times), and some people that make rifle slings, pouches, weapons, etc sometimes the craft is referred to as "Tactical Macrame", lol
Surprised someone said it was too hard. The hardest part is fusing the 2 different colors, loved the idea of using only one of the colors as bracelet base and offsetting the connection (fused part)
He shows us how to make one ourselves, too, and it is indeed awesome. It should be in the sidebar to the right, but if not search for "How to Make a Paracord Bracelet Jig", and it will be one of the first results.
Hey CT.....thanks for the tut.....great.......innovative......always looking for new and different things......alot of paracord bracelets appeal to men.......but women would like this thanks again.....
I would also like to say that I enjoy your videos. You teach very well and its very helpful. Your def worth subscribing to. Keep up the good work brother.
What I mean is for a 71/2 inch bracelet you will be using 4.5 feet of the dominant color and 3.5 feet of the other color. This will still leave you a few extra inches assuming you will be finishing off with a paracord fid. For a 6.5 inch, just guesstimating I would say go with 3.75 and 3 feet, see how much extra you have and adjust accordingly. Alot of trial and error, lol, but its always better to have to much than not enough :)
Do you have a video that explains how to make the jig? It ssems like that box/contraption would be very helpful to have. Great video and nice looking bracelet.
In my videos I am using 5/8, 1/2 is really close to that and works good too. sounds like you got 3/8 or 1/4 and they are tiny, i can barely get my fingers in there to unclasp them.
This is my first time seeing anything like this. Do you have a start from setting up and all the way to the end and showing how you tuck the cords in ect.......I would love to see everything. I am a total beginner. I love it!! Great job!
As you are tying a normal cobra weave, when you get to the spot you want to tie the heart, just tie in reverse of how you are normally tying, do that twice, then switch back tying the rest of the cobra weave. If you have ever tied a cobra and realized that you were crossing the wrong way and had to undo it, that is how you insert the heart, but only do two passes, hope this helps, let me know if you still don't get it. :)
I am not sure, I am unfamiliar with embroidery floss, might depend on the thickness and if it will hold a knot or not. Let us know if you give it a try.
HEY STEVE great video quality. I like the innovations too. Just some things from one paracordist to another. Consider putting the black cord down through the hole when you start the weave. Makes for a better looking start in solomon bar weave, when one goes down and the other up. Also, maybe use buckles with no second loop - that's more for a strap... As for the video, maybe increase the volume of your voice to match the intro.. Anyways, just wanted to share with you - keep up the good work! :)
Thanks for the video. Really detailed. I've made a couple but honestly I just can't tell people I'm wearing a stitch called Soloman's Heart or Locked in Love. After looking at it from the side, the first thing it reminded me think of is a razorback or a horned back alligator skin. So for me it's the "Razorback" Stitch. :)
As far as where to buy paracord, only stores locally I was finding it in was local surplus and tactical stores. So I started ordering from Survival-Pax website, (the E.L. Wood brand if it was in stock) and recently my local Hobby Lobby started carrying 100ft hanks, good colors and good quality, little bit more expensive than online but then you don't have to pay for shipping so ...
how can I make that jig? where did you get it?? if you made it can I have the list of materials including measurements...what other projects can you use the jig for??? sorry for all the questions I just think your video is AWESOME!!!
Whew, I'm glad you pointed that out, I can't believe I said it like that. Well thanks for the English lesson, I promise I will not make that mistake ... two times. ;)
Very nice pattern, I made one for my wife and she loves it. I did notice a small mistake in the text for the measurements, it said 4.5 " for 4.5 feet (4.5'). No real big deal, but I just wanted to bring it to your attention in case you wanted to fix it. Thanks for the upload. Peace.
Great job.......great tie........going to try and make a bunch and give out as samples (mainly to women)....thanks again....keep up the good work......I did sub
Hey great video! I was able to follow and complete the bracelet. Only one question.....DID YOU USE 550 PARACORD? It seems a little bulky. Mine didn't look as good as I like. It could be that I just need to practice.
I thought it was going to be hard, but it was radically easy. You are a fantastic teacher! Thanks for showing!
I can't believe that was your first video. You did an awesome job. You have that calm voice that also makes it easy listening. Thank you very much.
I agree, you did a great job specially with that 'jig' no messing around and your voice was calm and clear..oh and your hands clean and tidy..
Good job! More please!

Just found your site recently. I really appreciate your method of speaking slowly and keeping your hands clear of the picture. So easy to follow.
Great video. I love how thorough you are - that you take the time to summarize the video in the description. Looking forward to seeing some more videos from you.

I totally got it & am gonna tie one this morning. Thanks, I think this will work really well for Breast Cancer Awareness bracelets. Peace.
Ty, glad you enjoyed and thanks for the re-post. Nice blog, you can also knit paracord into bracelets and belts too since you have that skill set. :)
thanks for showing how to do a paracord bracelet with a side clasp. I do a lot of bracelets using other videos which use knot and loop which look nice, but a lot of people rather have a clasp for secure wearability. This one I will make using hot pink and white but it would look good in black and gold too.
I agree you do have a very calm voice as well as great manicuring hands heh I just love watching your videos. Have a Safe and Wondeful Holliday!
I agree, very well done video. Demonstrated how to do it and explained it very well. I like the jig he uses to make them.
Thank you so much. I was looking for a Solomon's heart that wasn't stitched on. Awesome work!
I use 5/8, this is what i started with and now its what i prefer. If you need to loop through a buckle twice you can do it, if you use a smaller it would be more difficult. Thank you for sharing! Enjoy your video! You would not think it was your first time very good Thanks! Yes, you have a very calm voice nice to listening.
Oh this is so easy and quick! Great video! Thanks a bunch, my daughter loves her new bracelet!!!
I enjoyed the video a lot, thanks. One observation, in the pop up box with the cord length measurements show everything in inches, not a big deal as you narration was spot on. Thanks again.
I can't believe this was your first video. Awesome job. I think I could actually do this by watching you. Thanks again for a great job.
Great video and a really nice bracelet. That had to be the easiest instructions I have seen.
What a cool pattern! I'm going to try it immediately, as in right this very minute!
SUPER video .. glad you put the amount of cord used !!!

Hey, thank you for putting on this video. I've been dabbling with making the cobra style several different ways, but I like this design. Thanks agin.
Yea, there are tons of variation with the cobra. Keep are it :) and thanks

Thank you, I am working on more, just trying to find the time :)
For your first tutorial it is very good! :)
Lovely tutorial! Congrats my friend!
awesome, very easy to follow along.
Good video, what you need to do is make a video on how you made your jig. There are a couple out there, but not great. Just a thought.
Thanks
I am not sure, I am unfamiliar with embroidery floss, might depend on the thickness and if it will hold a knot or not. Let us know if you give it a try.
I think the camera & lighting is perfect, I just started doing this as a hobby. Sub'd
