Carl against Stevo sort of makes sense. Dave against Stevo is more fascinating. Almost like a student from one class accidentally took the wrong exam but got through it eventually.
Ending explained.
Magikoopa can hide the ending for both Axe & Flagpole. When killed, the ending is shown.
To allow it time to hide the ending, Spike appearing in the p-switch pixel art room makes players think "go fast". Therefore allowing the most time on the p-switch and giving the Magikoopa time to hide the ending.

14:18 It works because there's an upside-down P-switch hanging on the ceiling, but the blue semisolid platforms are masking it. When you hit the ON/OFF switch, the conveyorbelts will move the other way, which also moves the P-switch and pushes you backwards. That's what's going on. You can also avoid the P-switch by ducking.
This is hands down my favorite troll level Dave has even played. I mean, come on. It combines inventiveness, humor, clever trolls, insanity, and evil all in one awesome collab. I love it.

There’s a P Switch stuck to the bottom of the conveyor belt above you hidden by the blue platforms. When you hit the On/Off Switch, the conveyor belts switch direction, which not only push the Spiny Shelmet on top to the right but also the upside-down P-Switch underneath to the left towards you. While you have a power-up, if you’re standing or jumping, your head is in the way of the P-Switch, so it pushes you with it to the pit. After it reaches the end of the track, it gets dislodged, turning it upright, and ends up on one of the blue platforms, allowing you to see and, as you saw, grab it.
The makers of Super Mario Maker 2 put a surprising amount of thought into how conveyor belts move things attached to them. Sure, moving objects on top is obvious, but making things attached to or clinging to the sides or the bottom (upside-down P-Switches, Spike Tops, upside-down Buzzy Beetles, upside-down Spinies, Flying Squirrel Mario, upside-down Stretches) is pretty cool and easy to overlook or forget, especially when either the conveyor belt or an object attached to its underside is hidden somehow.
Dave opening up this one by singing us the song of his people, I see.
The axe dissapearing is not actually a glitch. When a Magikoopa shoots the axe, it dissapears... but once the Magikoopa dies, the axe is restored.
As he says "Only DGR can softlock himself" XD

The setup at 14:05 there is a P-Switch hanging from the conveyor belt to the right of the on-off block, and the blue tracks are there to hide it. Once you press the On-Off Switch, the conveyor switches directions and makes the P-Switch go to the left, making you fall into the lava.

Webster itself states that soup needs meat, vegetable or fish stock to be defined as such. Cereal is more defined by the oats and grains used as the base for its ingredients NOT so much the fact that we tend to add milk to it. If we eat cereal without milk... it's still considered cereal. However, cereal's LACK of meat, vegetable or fish stock disqualifies it from being a cereal.

As someone who grew up in Texas and now lives in Alabama, I can say with full authority and self-assuredness, that Alabama white sauce is an abomination until barbecue sauces, and if I were emperor of earth, it would be the first thing I made illegal.
