Masaru san putting in the effort to learn english is so sweet. The fact that it was clear and understandable show all hard work he's put in! But for real watching a man who's eaten literal Starfish be grossed out by parasites is bizarre.

In my experience, native english speakers are extremely nice regarding their language. If they can understand you they will be always happy. It's the reason why i do love english, the forgiving attitude towards us non native speakers ❤

i'm so glad people have been kind while you've learned english!! i've found native Japanese speakers to largely be the same way, they are pleased and gracious when you make an effort to speak Japanese.

Masaru, I'm American but I lived in Japan for three years. During that time I learned very rudamentary conversational Japanese, about enough to order from restaurants, ask for directions and speak to taxi drivers... I wish I had applied myself more to learn as much as I could while i was there, because I love Japanese food and culture! The people where I lived (Iwakuni) were so kind and welcoming. Your English is coming along great! I can tell that you have put a lot of effort into it. Thank you so much for providing subtitles on your videos so that us English speaking folks can watch, too 😊

With English language, it is important to enunciate each syllable properly. Japanese language is fast, like Spanish, English is a slow language. Hope that helps, keep up the good work

Im from the UK and i love it when asians speak english as it shows how much they desite to connect with their english speaking audience. English is a very different language to japanese and its well known for being extremely difficult to pick up for japanese people. If you mess up dont worry about it because no one will be negative about it. Atleast your trying which is what matters.

I only learned English because I watched western action films and liked hearing western songs and singing them. Actually, just starting from a habit, over time it will run smoothly on its own in my opinion.

even as a native speaker, i definitely agree that english is tough! especially for people who speak asian languages, as there's VERY little correlation even between sounds. he's doing great and i can't wait to see his progress either!!!

English viewer here, personally, I appreciate that you show the parasites etc while preparing things! I can totally understand people who find it gross or off putting but I don't live in a place where I can actively hunt/fish, and I believe people in a similar position as me are too removed from the food chain. I know plenty of people who will happily go buy meat from the grocery store but if on the visit had to watch the process many wouldn't want to as it's "too gross" but really, it's a part of the process and I think people should remember that, thank anyone for reading and I love your videos!
