How to spot a typical muricaman with no social skills
I've always found silithus to be one of the most aesthetically pleasing zones. It had that wasteland feel of tanaris but with an uneasiness that you don't really get from other zones. Many people have probably never even played the zone because it's quite unconventional for levelling, but as you learn more about the silithid war, the more it puts into perspective how grim the atmosphere is with the npcs especially because there's so little of them. seeing the zone from above with flying really showcases this. Plus anyone who played vanilla knows how terrifying those tunnel systems were. Without a hearthstone, you would die so many times trying to get to the surface that you finally accept your fate and take the Rez sickness. Hopefully they do bring in the timekeeper feature, playing on vanilla private servers as well as just flying around old regions in current is great for nostalgia.
I used it to get my last 5 levels in vanilla, you almost HAD to be a frost mage to do it bc there were so many elite mobs

i dont know what you've learned in all yours years in this earth but i can _assure_ you nobody loves tentacles more than teenage japanese girls.
I think if they change all the 1-60 zones to be level matched to your character it would work, so you can spend time in each zone and not out level it so fast
only reason you outlevel zones is because of heirlooms.

LimitedSauce Unless they literally just changed the experience required to level or took away how much experience you gain, I disagree. I was doing an iron man challenge recently (I failed and got myself killed at level 57 by jumping too far off a cliff, whoops) and I was frequently out leveling zones.

That's the core problem, if everybody cares so much about end game and fucks the leveling aspect (It's an MMO btw) why not ask Blizzard to remove the leveling experience, so when you'll connect your character, no level above your head will be displayed and you'll be able to raid instantaneously !

Whether or not they revamp old zones, something desperately needs to be addressed with the leveling experience. It isnt fulfilling/engaging in any conceivable way.
IF they'd implement level scaling, emphasis on IF, I think it'd be cool to be able to pick and choose zones you go to like Legion, so you can actually experience zones as they're meant to be. Not parading through each one 1-shotting mobs for 1/4 of the zone until you outlevel it.
i dont care about leveling its always about the endgame anyway plus 12maxed out chars just like loads of other people whats the point and dont say new players cos they no no different

I like this ideia of shilithus thing, seens it will bring us back to old azeroth and kind of pause this "dragon ball effect" that have been happening to wow, where there's always a need for a bigger, stronger, more epic/legendary and powerfull being to threat us, wich ended up in this star trek bullshit.
This kind of leads to smaller but many threats, where any "random Joe" can get the power from azzeroth blood and play his part anywhere for any purpose, whithout the need for a single super epic goal.

Not the old gods itself, but the a dozen of "random Joes" that can use the emanating power from Azeroth's wound. And despite how big threat an old god can be, we'd be dealing with azeroth stuff instead dealing with the "creators" itself (titans) and their astronomical powers and proportions.
All this interaction with supreme beings kind of break the mystery, the magic of dealing with the unknow. And for that i hope Elune remain a unexplained, acting by mysterious ways as she did for Ysera last moments.

Old God hype.
The old gods were fucking huge, C'thun isn't just a big eyeball, Yogg isn't just a frog mouth in a pond like they are fucking massive, they reach down to at least Azeroth's core and sure we fought and prevailed over C'thun and Yogg while they were still in their titan prisons but if Sageras' sword nicks one of their prisons on it's way through the world we could wind up fighting C'thun, Yogg and potentially N'zoth (the old god trapped at the bottom of the sea) at full power without the titan prisons holding them back. Could make for a potentially very powerful enemy or 3.
Would need for Yogg and C'thun to be alive. (Blizz confirmed them being dead as far back as 2010 with other mentions of their demise being Yogg himself, blue posts and the Shadow priest weapon stating only N'Zoth is left)
We didn't kill Yogg, we pushed him back into his prison with the help of the titan keepers. Old gods can't die, well they can but they are embedded so deep into Azeroth's core that if we kill the Old gods we could actually destroy Azeroth. Remember all the corruption in Pandaria, all the Sha, the destruction? That happened when Y'Shaaraj was killed by the titans and even then Y'sharaaj wasn't 100% destroyed until we took down Garrosh.
If we killed another old god Azeroth would be in pretty bad shape, if we killed 3 I don't think Azeroth would even still be alive. C'thun is the same story as Yogg, he's defeated, not destroyed, he's still in his titan cell where we left him after AQ40.
lol then why is Yogg whispering to you when talking to magni at the start of the expansion when he tells you Azeroth is a titan

I would gladly sacrifice an expansion worth of content if they finally decide to finally add VRYKUL as a playable race and COMPLETELY OVERHAUL all of the old zones and drag them out of 2004-2006.
Argus doesn't feel like the demon homeworld, it feels like a tiny pointless outpost. Where are the legions of war machines, the great demonic factories, the endless shipyards, the dark and twisted cities? Even Outland felt more like a demonic homeworld than Argus does.
Given that our invasion point is supposed to be at the heart of their empire, it's all so pathetically small-scale that it doesn't feel remotely convincing or threatening, outside of the non-lore element of potentially being dazed by masses of trash mobs that apparently have nothing better to do than stand around waiting to daze people.
Blizzard could have covered this element by writing a major unexpected twist where it turns out that the Legion are mostly bluff and bluster, and all this time have just been pretending to be more powerful than they really are, but the reality is that the lifeless "videogamey" feel of Argus is simply a matter of slack design.
Similarly, I would have loved it if the native faction we were meant to help hadn't been yet more Broken, but a group of demons in open rebellion against the Legion instead as a result of witnessing their continual losses. There were a lot of interesting places Blizzard could have taken the Argus story, but they seem to be more interested in just steamrolling ahead to the end of the expansion via the most familiar, well-trodden, almost worn-out routes.
one thing i keep thinking about is that if Sargeras Stabs Azeroth is that wasnt there some lore about a Titan sleeping inside Azeroth Tormented by the old gods ???

In one of the spoilers thats on the wowhead website Aman'Thul says "Khaz'goroth! Forge these heroes in our image!
Using their power, I shall bend the strands of time to aid our cause." could this mean that they destroy our artifact weapons to use it against sargeras or when he says "Forge these heroes in our image!" could this mean that we become a "titan" for a short period of time to finish him off.
what is everyone elses thoughts?
It's revealed in the dungeon journal entry for Argus the Unmaker that in different phases of the encounter we receive aid from the other Titans in order to defeat him (one of the tanks becomes the avatar of Aggramar, Norgannon helps us fight adds, etc). Khaz'goroth channels in the last phase to grant us more damage, healing, all that good stuff with "Titanforging" so yep, you're pretty much correct
Our artifact are more than likely getting destroyed but in this context im pretty sure we gain the power of the titans for a portion of the fight to either fend off sargeras or defeat argus

The way I understood Khadgar's line is that the wound will release Azeroth's blood, which is the exact same scenario where Y'Shaarj when he was plucked from the planet. The blood is extremely potent and in the case of Y'Shaarj it created the well of eternity which attracted the legion in the first place. Basically we have a new well of eternity which is a bad guy magnet since it offers so much power.
This makes me think that if you ever wanted to get thunderfury, do it now, because the guy who starts the quest for it is located in silithus and could be affected by this change. It could be an accidental thing like the brawler's mount being removed with the new season was, but either way, get your thunderfury now (with good rng) if you ever want that achievment
Legion was not just a breath of fresh air, but a breath of life into the game that I love but was getting tired of, gj blizz

i meant the artifact abilities, you can do a couple quests and get like 1 billion AP and max out your initial weapon talents quickly, before it would have taken a really long time
Artifact weapons in general blow. Same thing with legendaries. Takes away the excitement of getting new weapons and gear, since you can't replace artifact weapons unless you wanna pull EN numbers and the only excitement you get now in terms of gear is when you get one of two best in slot legendaries.
Takes away the excitement of getting a new weapon? You mean the frustration of being a non-caster where your weapon damage was so fucking important that your DPS was pathetic for 4 weeks straight until you finally got your new weapon? Yeah, such excitement, especially as a dual wielding class.
The concept of keeping a single weapon is debatable, but in reality, the new legendaries are exactly like the weapons of old: You either get it and are happy, or you don't and it sucks for many weeks. Yet I only ever see people complain about the legendaries and "everything was better back then, I just wanna cry about things". They fixed a big problem and introduced others, that's how games work cause nothing is perfect.
I'm sorry but artifact weapons are the best thing for me this expansion.
That place was so under used it is untapped Blizz basically has a blank slate.

There is the line from Ilgynoth that says at her third death, she will bring the old gods, and Tyrande says that she saw her planet die 2 times, from the Sundering and from Cata. If ilgynoth is talking about Azeroth, its time to panic
It all sounds great, i just wish that our classes dont lose even more abilities again. perhaps even make the game have more world drops like in tbc/classic/wotlk, professions mean something again, but storywise, its all been good
they could rework how all characters start, have them all start in caverns of time as a way to explain why all characters go through the same zones with the same stories even though events in the zone happened years ago.
i would love an old god expansion but as long as it is like legion where all you are doing is dealing with them, would like to see some other threat completely different to old gods as well.
I guess I've seen a "project" of playable Qiraji race far ago, on WoWHead comments, and this dude even had plot and arts for them. Maybe, he wasn't that crazy: imagine them breaking the control or something.
Anyway, I'm so goodamn hyped for Old Gods' expansion(although it was pretty obvious since EN came out), hope they're gonna do something with AQ, love this raid so much!
I think Sargeras targeted Silithus for a very specific purpose. What that reason is I can only speculate so here goes. Waking C'thun again doesn't seem like it would be enough. I say waking because Old Gods don't die (unless you're a Titan), they just go to sleep. I think if Sargeras targeted C'Thun, it was to destroy him. Hear me out. The Old Gods are all related but they don't get along. They're a force of chaotic evil and they compete with one another to sow chaos but they want to be the ones responsible for it. Maybe C'Thun was the only thing keeping N'Zoth asleep and with his destruction, the dreamer awakes.
I feel like if they do do (heh) anything else with the old world then it'll be a level restricted thing. So you'll hit 110 and then say Silverpine becomes Silverpine 2.0, and be an endgame zone. That's what I'd like to see if they were to use the old world, anyway.
I wonder will Blizzard go for the world event again where Horde and Alliance fought the AQ baddies as that was a total badass (and lagfest) time and only ever equalled really by the two plague-o-rama events for fun, also a time zone would be cool to see AQ40 and Naxx40 come back as I missed the Naxx40 due to working on Lotro taking up my time and would love to have given it a go :) I was in a invasion scenario with a Scarab Lord only yesterday and he was a sick kickooshie player making my mage look pants lol

Yeah I love tentacles too. We are gonna get a old god themed expansion. There are some other clues supporting that. One has been in the game since Legion launched. The shadow priest artifact weapon said something about the weakest of 'them' might be the one to win. The artifact weapon is referencing N'Zoth who we haven't seen yet and is unaccounted for. He was the weakest old god apparently and the tentacle dagger thinks he's gonna win. There's some other shit but more old god stuff is all but confirmed. Btw, N'Zoth is the most tentacle focused out of all the old gods so that should make Asmongold happy.

Silithus gets stabbed and it wakes up C'thun again we gotta do AQ, that triggers a global old god reawakening we gotta do Ulduar and Siege of Orgrimaar in some form again, and we end the expac with the old god we've never seen, N'zoth and Queen Azshara, and we do it in Ny'alotha.

I don't know why, but I always have to grin when people cannot get "your" vs "you're" right.
Since they love phasing soo much I think itllbe like cata, but fighting in a shadow dimension version of a few re purposed old zones.

I honeslty havent been this invested in the lore since wotlk, Cata had its good times but the story telling was cheesy, especialy with Dragon soul, mist had a good twist at the end with garrosh but it didnt feel like it was a big step in the storyline, espeicaly when it led to Wod, wich was the most dissapointing piece of content blizzard has ever made, now in legion it feels like stuff is important, and really moves the story to a whole new level, it feels like its moving foward.
Frooky WoD was complete bullshit, I can't believe they put us through that, the whole time I was playing that expansion I was saying "none of this even matters, it's not even an accurate depiction of how it was, I don't care about space goat lore, I know enough about orcs, why am I here there's no point" lol.

I bet the final fight and conclusion will be that all players will become titan keeper demi-gods like Odyn et al. It is the only thing that can make sense. Average mortals are like ants to titans, and how else could the power progression make sense after Legion? Plus if we all became keepers it would make sense for us to then lose our artifact weapons because they are puny mortal weapons to us.
