An all time Blackpool great. Our paths crossed a few times over the years. I had my photo taken with him when I was a kid. Played against him in a 5 aside game in the late 70's which we lost 4 - 0, but I nutmeged him which is still a claim to fame (Jim McCalliog was also in his team), and in the 80s I played in a sports quiz in which he was the quiz master. I sat opposite him in a mastermind chair scenario to win the competition with the final question - which was who won the 1984 Cheltenham Gold Cup?
It's not Georgie Best, it's Willie Morgan. George Best was no 11 in that game, Willie Morgan was no 7. Look it up. Tony Green was one of the two greatest players I ever saw playing for the Pool. The other was Alan Suddick. Two genius in one team!
Yes, but of course that was after Alan Ball’s transfer to my beloved Toffees from Blackpool after the World Cup in 1966! Mind you, my oldest brother, Geordie, who was a very good player himself knew Tony Green, Jimmy Smith, and a good few other Newcastle players, and he has always said Green was their best from that era, and one of the best players he’d ever seen.

He's got nothing to do with me saying Suddick and Green were the best two players I saw play for Blackpool. And if you're trying to bring up ex Pool players that were better than those two, why do you mention Ball and fail to mention Stanley Matthews or Peter Doherty?
