What a great video. Looks pretty simple and straight forward. There’s some really clean bone stock xr70s on marketplace I’m gunna pick one up soon. Def plan on doing the basic upgrades to beef it up for full size man (heavy duty fork springs, better rear shock, pegs/mount and prob a big bore kit down the road)
Probably try the drywall screw method where you screw them in a couple turns and then put some vice grips on the screws and pull them. Or maybe a seal puller or just big flathead screwdriver.
I had the same question. Also appreciate the suggestions.. I don't have a seal puller but I do have some drywall screws, vice grips and the screwdriver. Im about to get into this, I'll let you what worked
Excellent. I am restoring an old Honda 1980 XR80. Good clear explanation. Good video, thanks.
Thanks for watching and good luck with your restoration.
Great Video, I'm rebuilding my son's bike (same model) and this was very helpful. The Honda shop practically rapes you in fee's to do maintenance.

Great video and thank you very much. You saved me money.
Great to hear!
How do you recommend pulling seal without bearing puller

@@olivervisionwhat worked?????, Lol
Is it the same if you change the normal spings in the fork for some bbr ?
Yea I don’t think different spring would change anything.
you got a kit you recommend for the seal? i got a 70 thats needs this done

Do you have a part # for the bearing seal puller, or a link where i can get one????
good video
How much ml did you put in the forks
Is it the same job for a crf100 fork rebuild
Yea I think they are pretty much all the same until you get to the bigger bikes.
Don’t you need to bleed the air out??
Might as well upgrade the forks on mx650
I wish these forks could fit on the mx650. I think it would need some heavy modifications but I have thought about it.
@@MarleyJaxGarage Mtb forks fit in without much modification just adding in headset
