Whew I thought you painted over the factory frame stickers and badges for a second. Very glad that's not the case. Nice work

If you don't want to make the brackets, you can just bend the rear metal bars in about 1/2 inch on each side. I used a 3 lb mini sledge hammer. I had to hit it pretty hard several times on both sides to get the bars close enough together to attach the rear fender. The rest of the plastics fit with a little coaxing. Some people just use a heat gun to soften the plastics enough to stretch the rear fender to fit the holes.

how much did all this cost? i have a 99 model, ive already bought front and rear wheels with disc brakes and put the big bore kit on too.i also wanna put upside down forks for a better look and ride..I love what youve done here but im curious about the cost..id also love to know exactly what year model parts you went with.. the backend of the 99 model is a good bit wider, so I'm sure I would have to change the fender because I would also like to go with the raised seat you chose to go with but i realize because of the width of the newer tank vs. the width of the rear fender it wouldnt work without modifying it-any info you can give me would be greatly appreciated! thanks so much, awesome video!

I believe it costed only like $200. The fender kit was $120, grips were $20, and the other bolts and parts were about $60. Then for the back fender I had to make some metal brackets to adapt the back fender bolt holes but other than that the front tank bolt holes lined up. The kit was for a 2008 Honda crf70. Thank you for the comment, Blake! Have a great day and good luck with your project!

I'm not totally sure I'm guessing they are close to 2008, I just ordered a cheap kit off of eBay for a crf70, thanks for commenting!

I had to make the spacer because it is custom, you will probably need to make spacers and brackets. Thanks for asking, let me know if you have any other questions.

dude, thank you very much for this video ... I have the same xr70 as you ... that stock fuel tank is annoying, it's easy to leak. and I think to replace it with a set like your video, are there any obstacles to installing the tank and seats or only the back that needs a bracket?

I have a 2003 XR70. Did you use CRF70 plastics? If yes, did you have to use a CRF70 gas tank and seat?

Nice video, it would have been good to see more of the custom brackets you made, but I think I have an good general idea. Do you have a link to plastics and everything you used? I’m have a hard time finding something.

Yes I did make one to hold the rear fender. They went from the old holes on the frame and extended up to the new ones.
