suffered with the same problem on my 2015 rc 390 at 25k kms, talked to a lot of guys about this and even visited ktm service centres and came to know that it is a very common problem. the 390 engines only lasts upto 30k kms , if you are lucky then 45k kms max. back in 2015, ktm used to give the warranty of only 30k kms so i think even they know about this issue. in most cases the block, piston, piston rings and the crank shaft needs to be replaced and thats the only permanent solution (for the next 30 k kms LOL).
Bro I have the same issue that too at 19k kilometres and it's heartbreaking. Should have gone for Japanese ones. And thanks for making such a clear cut video.
Oh am not the only one.!!! Just 24kkms on odo same problem blue smoke only when accelerate, drank 650ml within 2500kms run. Was told to change bore and piston set, parts cost is 18500 without labour. Mine is 2017 model duke 390 and changed oil regularly within 3000 to 4000km interval..
Very important for me to comment here ... I have 390 duke ...2017 model. I am facing the same issue and where white smoke was coming out from exhaust ... I have already paid around 30,000 on the engine..... where the showroom mechanic said need to change crank and piston but still the issue is not resolved ... And white smoke is still coming out ...and now they are asking for 7000 more ... Looking at your video ... I feel this is some kind of strategy from KTM to loot customer ... More people need to escalate and come up with such cases and complain to KTM India. Total kms on my bike is approx 38000 .
most European engines are like this. European engines : hardworking/fun to ride. Japanese engine: smartworking/long-lasting. (applicable for both cars and bikes)

yeah, don't doubt yourself on you riding skills or your maintenance schedule. It's an issue with bike itself.

Yamaha with 1.5 lakh on odo 💪
KTM with 30K on odo 💀
true, but yamaha and ktm are very different engines, you'll get different level of satisfaction when you ride these 390s
Stupid European high compression engines cannot survive long enough.
