You really hit the nail on the head about why I am drawn to his music, his lyrics and not necessarily the meaning at first. I enjoy how he uses the Korean language, that I don't speak or understand, as a musical instrument. I listen to his songs a lot, he is my favorite though I love all of them, but he is my one. He draws me in with his musicality when he raps and then conquers me when I understand the lyrics. I know we're missing a few nuances because we do not speak the language, the same with RM, but what we do get I appreciate. Amygdala is a complete masterpiece and that his music as a whole is his healing tool just makes me feel not alone.
I Enjoyed this a lot. I feel seen and understood by your analysis, I love the way he does music. He always delivers sth new but in his own style, you can always find little pieces to grab and connect to his previous songs and that’s so satisfying. He’s such a jewel and I’m patiently waiting for him to come back.
Fantastic part 1 - looking forward to parts 2 and 3. JK brought me into the BTS world through Dreamers, but Suga immediately captured my interest and attention. I have never liked rap (outside of a couple of songs) but his rap and themes and lyrics completely drew me in. What you describe about him explains what I've observed. When the team was asked once how they start writing music - melody or lyrics - Suga immediately said, "The beat". Having the consistent beat or even the ostinato of Strange is so mesmerizing and his creativity around that really shines. He also told JK in Suchwita that he has on his laptop songs from every style of music so I think you are right that he has the gifts and interests to do pretty much anything he wants. I can't wait to see what he ends up doing after recharging his life experiences in these next 2 years.
Thank you for this insight. I love storytelling. The way Suga tells his story is so inspiring and interesting. For me Amygdala is so fierce and beautiful at the same time. His work does not consist of arbitrary, loose parts, but forms a whole. That’s so impressive. I’m not familiar with the Korean language, so your explanation helps me to value his writing even more. I highly respect him as an artist and as a human being.
Thanks for this video. It affirms my admiration of Suga's music genius! I'm amazed at his songs & performances. His life is an inspiration itself. I'm excited at what he'll bring up next. I also see him sort of a young sage whose words are down to earth, nuggets of wisdom, sometimes even prophetic. I'm waiting for part 2 & 3 of Suga's too.
Deep inside Yoongi is a gentle poet bur the world mistreated him so he developed a hard shell, recently he's come to trust in members and army so he shares his softer side more.
Thank you so much for this series--I'm looking forward to hearing all about the others too. Suga and J-Hope are my favorites among the rappers. It's not RM's fault exactly, but I can appreciate RM's work only after there has been so much translation and explanation that all the juice has been drained from it for me, whereas Suga's work is much more direct and often hits me right in the feelings. What does impress me is how all the BTS rappers reached into the US hip hop scene and extracted the structure and process and intensity of rap but left the nastiness behind--they are singing about their own growth, not the US trio of drugs, money, and sex. I know that all of US hip hop isn't like that, right? But lately it seems like it.
BTS's music is universal and we don't need to speak Korean to enjoy it, the 7 members are amazing, Suga shares my Birthday also, i tend to enjoy his music alot more but enjoy all genres that BTS do .,August D music and lyrics hit different as i feel i am more pulled towards his music. Beautiful music that gives us many crying and happy moments ,I wish BTS to be happy in there future because they bring us much happiness x
I loved this so much 🙏💜 thank you for making this series of Bangtan lyrics / song making process, and for your analysis . You are so good with words and so smart , respect 🙏 💜
Thank you for inviting us to give a like at the END of the video, IF we like it! So many TH-camrs expect me to click the like button right at the beginning! No! 😅 Seriously though, you got my like and my subscribe well before the end 😊 The subject matter is so interesting. Thank you!
Wait a minute he's been listening to British Slang Smegma is British slang means the same thing plus is used for any thing that's slimey and smelly. Smegma is our slang or shortening of smegma bacilli.
He is an incredible artist and definitely a musical genius 💜💜💜

I love how Suga just says so plain and in your face with his lyric's, he doesn't hold his punches.
Suga writes his lyrics to make sense in any language. his genius is multilayered.
I firmly believe that Suga is one of the most prolific and relevant artist of our time.
My thoughts the same.
Thank you for breaking Suga's analysis into parts rather than trimming down. I really enjoy your insights and look forward to the rest of the series.

He really is a Genius.
Sometimes, it's hard to find the right words to express appreciation...so, thank you for this! 💜

Loved this breakdown! I’m increasingly impressed with his song writing and production.

No doubt about it, Suga is a real genius. I just love the way he thinks and am always amazed at how he strings them into his songs and lyrics.
I know that SUGA is soft inside that’s why I called him as ‘Snow’
100 perfect
Sometimes I’m amazed at your insights and explanations just like how I am sometimes amazed by BTS.
I am truly enjoying your thoughts and explanations about BTS members & their work. Thank you.

oh really?! According to my friend, smegma to Koreans is.. ahm, do you mind if i say it? it's rather crude. definitely for 21 and above only.
@@AsianEntertainmentandCulture I know what you mean and we also use it that way.
hmmm i wonder if one influenced the other? or maybe it's a latin or scientific word?
@@AsianEntertainmentandCulture Correct it's a scientific term we just cut it down and use it as a slang expression.
LOL! Omg, the second I heard "smegma" I choked, lmfao. I immediately wondered what it meant in Korean then. Na, its exactly the same. I'm so dead ha
💜ᗷTS⟭⟬💜 love you all🇮🇳 nice mem cute love you all
