There was no handicap... His power-up levels are akin to Naruo's only well... FAR MORE BAD ASS in my opinion... But keeping Naruto in mind for our example here, Asura's beast state is almost exactly identical to that of Naruto's (Save for power levels) in that regard while he's got rage coming out the ass he completely lacked any & all control over it... Asura's Mantra state is him fighting with enough control of his daughter's power to have 100% control over himself...
Omega Chicken actually Kratos is not that strong,yes he can kill goes but he is not really quick ( well Mach 100 I guess) while asura move's at light speed so he don't have a chance but equalize their speed and this is going to be a good battle
