Great Video. Thanks for the info. Ordering my kit, Did not realize how important this kit it. I have an MQ Triton but im sure the kit is the same. Thanks again.
Thanks for your video on this very informative. I've just added nudge bar to mine did you install the light bar as not sure on that procedure, any help would be great.
First off, thanks for this video, one of, if not the best instructionals for MR Triton. Just wanted ask about the mounting bracket. I have seen a few other videos where the mount attaches to a bolt above the wheel strut (think that is what you call it...). People have commented that it is a bugger to get off and also the straight hose that you formed into the S shape was a bit prone to small kink. Your kit didn't seem to have these issues. Would I be right in thinking that the supplier has modified the kit and you no longer have to wrestle with that lower mounting bolt?
Thank you very much. You are absolutely correct. The kit supplied by Western Filters was a very straightforward installation and a great fit. I recommend it 100%. 👌 Cheers, 🍻 👍
Hi Rob that's a good question, considering they are a relatively low cost item compared to other accessories. Some other vehicles, such as many trucks, do come with them already fitted from factory. I have added a link below explaining reasons why you may want to install one. Remember, they need correct installation and maintaining to work properly and efficiently, so as not to cause any problems to the engine. The decision to install one is entirely up to the individual. Cheers, Grant. 🍻👍 www.repcoservice.com/hints-and-tips/does-my-diesel-need-an-oil-catch-can
I had the same question too, and also conducted my own research before installing the catch can and decided it was better to install it earlier on to avoid any issues down the track. Mechanics that I asked said it was a good idea as long as the servicing was maintained at the recommended intervals. th-cam.com/video/lz-i0yGC9dE/w-d-xo.html Here is what Mitsubishi Australia's Diamond Warranty FAQ's state on their website; The Warranty applies to the original components that have not been modified or altered from the manufacturer’s specifications. Modifying your vehicle or installing parts and accessories which are not approved by Mitsubishi Motors will NOT void your warranty. However, if a modified part needs replacing or causes damage to other components, this will not be covered. So really it is up to you to make sure that ANY aftermarket part is fitted correctly and maintained to ensure that it does not cause damage to other components so as not to void your warranty. Check out that link too. Hope this helps. I hope you enjoy your Triton, we have done over 20000km already in ours and absolutely love it! 😉👍🍻
Western Filters stock it for $365, (only $1 per day for a year! 😉👌) www.westernfilters.net.au/mitsubishi-triton-2015-21-mq-mr-pajero-sports-24l-turbo-diesel-4n15-provent-catch-can-vehicle-specific-kit-os-prov-14/

Hi mate, love your Ute. Would this be the kit for my mr GLXR TRITON 2022 model?
Thanks Geoff, yes, exactly the same. 🍻👍
How has the tap held up? Does it get smashed by stones and stuff?
No, so far so good in that position. It makes it easy to access mounted there too. 🍻👍
@@nextmotoadv247 nice one mate! Thanks!
How is it going so far? Any problems or leaks?
Hi, thanks for asking, no issues at all. 👌
Mate, just ordered a triton, what did they say about warranty if you fit catch can?
I had the same question too, and also conducted my own research before installing the catch can and decided it was better to install it earlier on to avoid any issues down the track. Mechanics that I asked said it was a good idea as long as the servicing was maintained at the recommended intervals.
