It's awesome to see African Americans get into the rock and metal scene. I have been to many rock concerts and there are usually only like 5 black guys there. I Invision that number increasing. Jinjer are playing at Rochester NY in October 40 miles west of me and I'm going to be in attendance. I applaud you good sir.
You missed the funniest part of her performance. At ~4:20 in your video, as you said “this band is kicking ass!”. Watch that part again, pay attention to Tati’s right eye. 😂
The Resurrection Fest EG organization probably thought this was going to be just another video of one of the bands that played in the festival, with an average amount of views on YT like the majority of the other videos. Little they knew that it was going to become their most viewed video, with 2.2M views and counting! \m/ And this is an even greater achievement if you see who Jinjer is "beating" to the top spot: Prophets Of Rage, Arch Enemy and NOFX!
Also should listen to "No Hoard of Value" there's a lyric video available and you'll need it, as this is one of their harder edged songs and it's important that you comprehend the vocals, along with the hard aggressive riffs and runs that combine to make that piece work. This is a real, mature, and nuanced group of artists. This Jinjer........... Salute guys
I'm just happy they've not gotten so big yet, they're still playing smaller spots. The club I'm seeing them at has a 400 person capacity. So, it'll still be a good, pretty intimate atmosphere. The smaller the show, the better. Especially for a high energy band, like them.
Just admit it, you are a Jinjer fan and a metal head, even though you didn't begin the metal journey with the intention of being converted. Have fun at the show, you're going to have your mind blown
