Dear Amna, he was in government for barely one year. The rest of the 2 years went to a worldwide COVID shutdown. No country is accounting for or collecting data of COVID years. Who the hell is the army to threat, file cases or offer anything to civilian leaders. Yeh country hai ke gadhon ka tabela. Malik Riaz is right hand of bahadur fauj. He's building army defense housing all over Pakistan. Malik Riaz used to be 2 takkay ka land mafia who was picked by bahadur fauj. Imran Khan didn't deposit the money in his account but gave it to Malik Riaz on Army's order. This is how the army traps politicians. All lands given to Imran khan were under trust so he can build hospitals and universities on them . Hosh mei ao ganwaar jahilo

You can totally learn to cycle at any age Aamna! I learned in my 30s having never cycled previously. I was able to balance and pedal within the first two hours. Don't let the age factor stop you :)

Just to add on, my Aussie dad got into cycling just as he turned 70! And he was doing 45km every weekend and short trips on weekdays to the shops etc it's all a mindset decision.
Basically anytime u wanna do smth, just do it!

I also resolved on my 36th birthday to travel so took myself and family to Disney that year and went to Italy and Switzerland on my 38th. I was booked to go to Spain during COVID-19 but had to cancel as my little one was not vaccinated. Then we sold our home and got a bigger one as I have a big family. Now I can’t go anywhere due to big house and family expenses. I’m planning to ditch my family and go backpacking as I’m 43 now 😅

I used to overpack too - but learnt the hard way that it's best to pack for 7 days (minus the clothes you plan to wear while traveling to and from your destination), and whether it's a week long holiday or a month long, the 7Day formula works best. What helps is sticking to keeping each trip's wardrobe within a color palette, that way I can always mix and match. Since I wear hijab, I've cut back from packing matching hijabs with each outfit to 2-3 basic colors. Also, I ensure that whatever luggage I have has wheels and I'm able to drag it around the city with ease if it comes to that. This works for me only because my husband and I tend to visit multiple cities and I love exploring places on foot - weather permitting. A few years ago we did Spain and Italy for three weeks in January, and covered 5 cities in each country within that time. When I went to Seychelles a couple years back (right before COVID), I remembered how useless over-packing for Maldives had been back in 2011, I stuck to the bare minimum, two swimwear options and 3 outfits for a week long stay.

Hi Amna - i was in Paris in Feb. You should've defo done eiffle tower summit tour. We went all the way to the first floor and there you've got some history as well. Also about local cuisine no judgement about chicken n roasted potatoes which prolly had lard on it but i find it hard to find Halal food so usually we go for veg or plant based meals. I went to Crete last year and there found a small turkish stall that claimed to be halal. So yes food is an issue always. Cause we are mostly limited to veg and fish x

Over packing has been always always one of the major issues of most of the travelers . Normally almost all of the people overpack .. and yeah we should pack sensibly in order to avoid paying very heavy prices for excess luggage 🧳…
Recently me and my mom travelled domestically from Los Angeles to Washington and we had to pay almost half of the ticket price additionally in order to carry our overly packed luggage .. and we didn’t even wear half of the clothes 🤦
Loved watching ur blog on travel as u have brought very tiny points into our notice that should be kept in mind while traveling .. Thank you so much

One thing that i do while packing for travel is take the old clothes which i can throw away after use in the country that i travel to. I then full up my empty box with the new shopping that i do there.

I also keep adding to the fridge magnet collection and the curio cabinet as well! I prefer picking up indigenously crafted items. Nothing can match that ever!

Aamna as far as packing goes i always carry old clothes, eg t's which can be thrown and new clothes can be bought and you don't mind leaving the old ones behind. Even the undies, i carry old ones which can be done away with after using each day😊

Great information. You are really lucky that you got your phone back. I had the worst experience with emirates. Lost my suitcase at London Heathrow last year. They did not help at all. Somebody supposedly took it from the belt. It had lots of stuff given to me by my late husband and now all those memories are lost forever. But really happy that you got your phone back ❤

Hi Aamna. Yet another great and informative video from you. Like you, I also believe in planning ahead of such trips and research well about the destination so I spend my time well there and come back knowing I did not miss out on anything. However, I still can not fathom how you could give going up the Eiffel Tower a miss! The queues can be deterring but considering you had researched well, perhaps it would have been a good idea to have bought/ reserved a ticket prior to your visit. Frankly as much as I hate standing in queues, I am so glad we did it and what awaited at the summit was indeed one of the highlights of our trip to Paris. I hope you can do it on your next visit there.

No doubt,Amna,it was a great travel advisory with a lot of common sense ideas, whenever I travel,I usually have all these points in mind,so it was not new for me. Nevertheless, it was a good review for new travellers.
Somehow,I slightly disagree when u talked about the political situation of r country. I feel something haute is a platform for drama reviews, fashion, style, decor, art work etc,etc so I feel politics should not have been included in yr program.
I am a member of a local bookclub here in Islamabad and r club agenda strongly highlights r rules for the club.
One is political or religious clips, discussions, reviews or opinions r strictly prohibited on r page as these topics lead to high tempers ,twisted emotions and ugly remarks.
For that, there r political/religious forums and platforms to leave ones reviews and opinions. Though u dealt yr political views v smoothly but I suggest if u refrain from expressing these views,it would be less suffocating.
Something haute is an enjoyable discussion panel and I feel it should remain like that and not get stained with ugly politics.

It’s time for sustainable change and that will only happen if the rank and file in the establishment stand up and say enough is enough!
