Love his voice!!! He deserves to be big! Huge fan... he got me listening to Journey... My dad was always a fan since I was a young girl. After he passed in 2012. I came across all his albums he had of journeys! He had them all! He had magazines, pictures at the concerts he went too. Even pictures with the band he took with them! He was a huge Journey fan! He had boxes of journey stuff. Shirts from every concert and tour. I knew he was a fan but never knew how much! He had the steve Perry’s and Arnels albums too. Which is a huge deal. He wasn’t the type to like change. He obviously enjoyed Arnels voice too! After listening I was a huge fan as well! Kep all his stuff!!!

Sad to say, Steve Perry has decided to quit, instead. SP himself admitted honestly that he could no longer sing the same Journey signature songs, and most of all, could no longer perform with the same high notes!

sphyke mtb ooh! I know that feeling. We weren’t that close but close enough for me, we sat 9th row almost smack center at the Maui MACC outdoor theatre 2017 tour. Only 6,000 capacity, so it feel really cozy. We had a really nice view of the stage, only one I missed was Deen on drums.
I am a Journey fan from way back and I just have to say My God he is Awesome!! Seen them live last month. I can't wait to see them again.
Whats all the agruging about - Arnel is a great singer - Im a Steve fan, cause I grew up with him, in his prime Perry was the greatest Male vocalist in rock history - the man is 63 years old, none of can do what we did in our 20's and 30's...Steve can still sing just lower and raspy - which I perfer...The kid Arnel is very, very good. and nice person.

Weve been to one of Journey's concert with AP and we all got WOW with AP's voice, so powerful and uplifting, if ull listen to it Live, your jaw will break when he hit the higher notes jst like a piece of cake...This guy's got an amazing talent. and he puts his heart to it when he sings every songs, some of the fans are crying while singing wit AP...Bravo AP, makes me proud more as a Filipino tho i have a bit of a foreign blood.

Takes great talent to be able to get so close to original singers and to fill their shoes. I admire and respect that. Of course they are never going to be the original, however I think its a fantastic and amazing thing that someone could come so close to an original singer....hats off to them and blessings!

there is no question about that myraceleste! i didn't know anything about this until i recently bought the new cd at walmart. i am both happy for and impressed by this guy, and wish Journey nothing but the best with him as their singer! he has incredible range and all the soul to go with it. i can't get over it! i wish SP would come back! i miss that guy, but arnel has what it takes that is for sure!

A friend told me she remembered Arnel singing in a bar in HongKong decades ago when Arnel was probably in his 20’s? the bar was always jammed packed and overflowing with audience to watch and listen to him sing. And those American Navy personnel based in the Philippines who used to frequent the bar where Arnel used to sing because they thought he sounded so authentic to them. Even then people recognised his talent.

Neal mentioned that they'd be back in studio by fall and he will be co-writing with them. I hope they will get rights to Arnel's songs on Zoology like Too Satisfied and So Wrong. Those are my two favorites that I think have universal radio appeal. Arnel has been with a band since he was 15, a band with musicians and singers. When the karaoke was invented he was already going around the world singing with his band, fronted for Robert Palmer's concert in Manila.

AWESOME - POWERFUL... I'm very impressed by your God's given talent. I've been a Journey aficionado since it's' infancy and was devastated by Steve Perry's departure from the band. The aura of the group has dwindled down dramatically but few fans from all over the world just like myself remained faithful and hopeful. Interim lead vocalists tried to fill in his shoes but it's just too humongous to fit into -- a task almost impossible to gravitate. ( continue )

he is so professional, he sings with his heart, the audience might listen or not. I think I've watched him at the Spindle Restaurant in Quezon City, way back in the 80's. That is why N Schon was convinced he sounds like Journey.
