Chromebooks now in October of 2018 are able to be used as a list of things (you can trust me because I spent over a year researching a Chromebook's full potential). They are compatible with %70 of android apps, all Chromebooks are compatible with dual-booting with Ubuntu Linux using Crouton, most Chromebooks also come with support for Mac OS if you do the right set-up, and finally, THEY CAN RUN WINDOWS OS! So before you say anything about any hardware do your research first, and if you still stand with your claim, then make a TH-cam video about it.
Its funny how in this video he makes fun of Chromebooks and Acers and i'm watching this on an Acer Chromebook. getting a new computer tho. great video, cheers.
I have an Acer Chromebook Spin 15, it runs flash games, the keyboard is nice and its 15.6 inches, it has a backlit keyboard. 53 gigabytes of ram. Its touchscreen and a convertible and it has a charger on both sides and its compatible with any type of headphones, or earphones. It has a nice texture and design. It updates in like 2 seconds, unlike other computers/laptops which take a decade to update. It starts off like a nanosecond. It has virus protection built-in. And it has great quality. And 12 hours battery life it has google play store, two upward-facing speakers, waterproof keyboard, Wide view in the webcam, and it has a USB-C for data, display, and power. I can go on and on. You don't have to like Chromebooks, but you don't need to be going around because you can't afford to buy a decent Chromebook, this Acer Chromebook Spin 15 is all for the price of, 399.99 dollars. I want to tell my mom this, but since it was a gift I don't want to seem like a spoiled rich kid by asking her for another laptop that isn't a cappy chromebook

In ten years time though they will probably be as good as a Macbook pro is now. As computers improve year on year. At the moment in 2020 the best laptop you can buy is the latest Macbook Air. It costs a thousand pounds here in the UK which is quite expensive but it is an excellent computer that should last for years.
Okay when recording a video PLEASE don't shake the camera. I can't even watch it the video so tips for your channel: get a tripod! They are 10 dollars at Walmart
A few counter points if I may. 1) They cheap, last forever and have great battery life. My Acer c720 is still kicking strong after years of heavy use. The touchpad and keyboard are great. 2) Yes, you can't run Windows apps or any serious Games on it, but they were never designed to do that. They are the perfect browsing device. Viruses and Malware aren't really a thing with Chrome OS making Chromebooks the perfect device for general browsing and especially online banking. 3) The ENTIRE Google Play store is coming to Chromebook! I feel like you are judging the device on things it was never designed to do. If I want to play games, program or do some 3D printing I fire up my PC. But if I just want to do some general browsing, check my emails, pay my bills or monitor my 3D Printer I do that from the comfort of my couch with my super light and whisper quiet Chromebook.
1. HAHAHAHAHA ACER Those are the same laptops that have poor build quality and always break. They'd never hold up in a high abuse situation like a school or real world usage outside a coffee table. 2. Linux is better than Chrome OS, especially since it respects your freedom. 3. Wow, a shitty store that spies on you. www.theregister.co.uk/2016/09/12/turn_off_location_services_go_ahead_says_google_well_still_track_you/ Even a fucking netbook can let you program or do 3d printing. I mean fuck, even a C64 let you program it, now you get these watered down thin clients/dumb terminals being sold as devices to consumers. RMS was right.
I've had multiple Acer products and they have never failed me. It's not hard to actually take good care of your products. Linux is a far more powerful OS than Chrome OS, no one is arguing that. But for the simple purpose of browsing, the light and completely hassle free Chrome OS is perfect. As for the privacy concerns, I'm one of those people that doesn't really care. All of my personal content that I care about is stored on a private NAS with encrypted shares and encrypted offsite backups. And I have no issue if Google tracks my location via my phone's GPS, in fact I have that history enabled on purpose because I find it interesting to see where I've been. I have different devices for different purposes, a Windows PC for gaming, programming and 3D Printing because my 3D design and printing software requires a good GPU. I have a Linux VM that I use, but when I want to simply browse I use my light and quiet little Chromebook. Hell, between RDP and SSH I can do a lot of stuff from my Chromebook. Regardless, it's all just opinions and everyone is entitled to theirs.
My parents did when I was In 5th grade. I discovered linux though but because of its limited storadge, When all my friends played minecraft and half life and roblox and doom etc. I played flash games because I ran out of storadge to install a cracked minecraft. Although I loved the pacman game clone that ran in the terminal. Later my parents saw my linux and i told them how cool it was but they factory reset my chromebook because I was able to pass my parents restrictions and watch youtube longer than their parental control program\chrome extention allowed me to
Eh, I have an Acer Chromebook 11, and its fine. If i want to run a version of Linux, i have my Raspberry Pi. Yes, I am aware of the fact that the RPi is running a stripped down version of Linux.
Mine is HP. Nobody likes HP with their stupid underpowered computers and now they want to collab with Google. I don't know why my dumb dad bought me that computer (jk i still love him)
I got mine from Walmart 5 years ago, and I love that damn thing. I use it more than my phone when I'm at home and I use it more than my desktop. It definitely isn't a substitute for a desktop computer, but for streaming, watching videos, browsing the web and email, it's great. Basically, it doesn't do a whole lot, but what it does, it does well. I think it's good for an average user. I don't know, I love mine.

@Donovan Wood we all are
Donovan W. You are too.
Can you help me get windows os?
I'm using an Acer Chromebook 15
CB3-532, with Intel.
(If you can.)
me trying to open something on a chrome book: chrome book os: chrome book os can not open this.
I would expect a billion dollar company to do better
Its funny how in this video he makes fun of Chromebooks and Acers and i'm watching this on an Acer Chromebook. getting a new computer tho. great video, cheers.
i'm watching this on an Acer Chromebook, and I plan to trick it into installing windows. which is 10 times better than chrome os.
how do you trick a chromebook into installing windows?

you could have bought a quest 2 instead witch dose more than a shitbook
Great price for a Chromebook like this.
They're so slow you can't even browse Wikipedia.

Guys, Chromebooks Dont Suck, The Operating System (Chrome OS) Sucks. And You Can Put Windows 10 On Your Chromebook. Its Not The Fastest Ever, But It Works.

this is what you get when you want a laptop for school and can have a nice desktop at home I'd rather have this to take to school and then have built a pc to use at home.
i like how the chromebook ads say that they are meant for gaming, which is the biggest fucking lie I’ve heard. If you wanna play games then build a desktop, not buy a laptop, especially one of these

I hate my Chromebook because I wanted something to draw with (I'm an artist and want to be an animator) so i wanted a laptop with a drawing tablet or something. My mom decided that she would buy me one so it would be a touch screen and computer in one. Unfortunately I can't do anything because i can't get any programs for computer, and only 1/2 the programs from touch screen devices. I hate it. I want to tell my mom this, but since it was a gift I don't want to seem like a spoiled rich kid by asking her for another laptop that isn't a cappy chromebook
It still looks like it's running xp in 2003. Seems to be as fast too, maybe faster. My surface book boots to useable in like 5 seconds.

In ten years time though they will probably be as good as a Macbook pro is now. As computers improve year on year. At the moment in 2020 the best laptop you can buy is the latest Macbook Air. @@novicenoobtube450 I regret dishing out 200 pounds for one...I’m get a real laptop soon though.
1. HAHAHAHAHA ACER
Those are the same laptops that have poor build quality and always break. They'd never hold up in a high abuse situation like a school or real world usage outside a coffee table.
2. Linux is better than Chrome OS, especially since it respects your freedom.
3. Wow, a shitty store that spies on you. www.theregister.co.uk/2016/09/12/turn_off_location_services_go_ahead_says_google_well_still_track_you/
Even a fucking netbook can let you program or do 3d printing.
/home/gligar13 I wonder what stupid computer you own...
probably a lot better than what you're using, and even if it isn't better spec-for-spec it's probably better optimized

Although I loved the pacman game clone that ran in the terminal. Later my parents saw my linux and i told them how cool it was but they factory reset my chromebook because I was able to pass my parents restrictions and watch youtube longer than their parental control program\chrome extention allowed me to

I don't know, I love mine.
ye dam right
Even my laptop which I compare to a Poisonous Potato (also known as one of, if not the most useless item in minecraft) can outperform this.
