That brings back a lot of memories, born in Lone Pine and grew up in Bishop. Those are some nice fish (sorry but not monsters though) remember if you plan on keeping and eating, bleed the fish quickly for best flavor. I don't know what Abby's set up was, but get rid of those beach ball bobbers and get her some pencil floats and small (1/64, 1/80 or 1/100 ounce olive or black maribou micro jigs). Rig with 4 lb main line on reel and 2, 3, or 4 lb fluorocarbon leader about 4 to 6 feet long with small black swivel in between. If you fish Intake 2, Plant 2 or 3 after bays, or any of the lakes up there, loose the pencil float and replace with a clear plastic bobber that you can fill partially with water for weight. Set depth depending on water depth, keep the jig about a foot off the bottom, have her cast out, let sit until water is calm from float splashing, then reel slow trying not to make wake with the float but fast enough to keep the line somewhat tight. If there is a breeze with chop on the water, all the better and hang on. I would ride my bike 2-3 miles from the house fishing lower Bishop or Williams creek and catch a dozen or so that size a night and keep 3 to 5 for eating nothing under 18-20 inches. Good Luck.

Thanks for these tips! I've wanted to fish plant 2 but never knew how. She just prefers the red and white ones lol idk why but I think it's just her preference. She does better when she uses the pencil ones. I'll try these next trip thanks!!
