Our teacher showed us this video on one of her lessons, and now that she is being "put in another school" do to money expenses it is nice to watch this video to remind me if her. She was a nice teacher.
I just love this guy, he is my 'go-to' video library when I need to refresh my cutting out ideas, and planning of any important sewing projects. Much love and blessings from the United Kingdom Ken x
You Are The BOMB!!! I have been searching youtube for years for just simple sewing and THANK THE LORD! I found your channel! Your sewing instructions are simple and you make it fun! Thank you! Can you maybe thing about doing simple sewing toots on baby clothes like simple dresses, shorts and tops?
Just a helpful hint when your getting your side quarter usually the shoulder seams are not your sides .. you can put front and back points together and hold up and your sides will be away from shoulder seams.. neckband may lay better ..
Good job! It appears a Brother cs6000i sewing machine is used in this tutorial. This machine comes w/a "G" presser foot for overcast stitching for a professional look w/out the need to trim fabric back after sewing. Line up fabric against its long bar on the right for a 1/4" seam. Butting up fabric on the left of the middle bar gives a 1/8" seam. This foot also works well for french seams ... The twin needle also standard w/this machine can be used w/maxi-lock stretch thread in the bobbin combined w/regular thread on the spool holder & on the spool extender attachment for winding thread on a bobbin. Adds better stretch to knit fabrics to prevent stitches breaking as well as the double row of stitching used on t-shirts & other stretch garments ... I rarely, if ever, use my serger since this is far easier & quicker ... Have fun sewing & make it easy!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Thats the video I was just looking for, great detail! nice close up shots and showing us the results is perfect. Youre a dude!!!
Great tutorial! I was struggling with attaching a collar to a PJ top for my son, the pattern instructions were not clear. This helped me so much, now it looks finished!
I bought a shirt from a donation event and I regret buying the womens one, it looked terrible but I loved the print so badly that I couldn't just give up on it, I will definitively try this since it didnt't even have a collar! Looked way too grungy for me, thank you!! Lifesaver.
Gosh this was AMAZINGLY helpful. This tutorial is definitely one of the best I've seen. Super well done. Thank you for keeping it fast paced and having good explanations
Thank you for your excellent video. Your presentation was clear and precise. It was easy to follow. If you have time, Id appreciate knowing what fabric you used.
I usually take out 5 inches for a small and ,6 for a medium and stretch it when I sew because the neckband usually sticks up when I use meas. close to the collar real meas. I will try this tho neckbands are tricky
Tip 1: Measuring tape straight up, not flat, makes it easy to measure curves. Tip 2: Adding understitching makes it even better. Evelyn Wood explains it well.
Thank you so much for your video. Just one question, when I measure my length, do I add an inch to the measurements to allow for sewing the seams? Or did you figure that out when you stated to add or subtract.
that looks good...can you do this by putting edges together, measure then double that number etc...? or does that give inaccurate #'s compared to trying to go around the opening with measuring tape? curious if it made a difference in assembly
Funny you asked this, I just sent him an instagram message asking the same thing. Can't seem to figure it out. Driving me crazy. Did you find a solution?
It makes me so happy and confident that a dude is doing stuff like this. I no longer feel alone.
Yeah

Dope 👏🏼 Needed this. Thanks man 🖖🏼
What kind of fabric is that
Probably cotton or something. That's what I'll be using
that looks good...can you do this by putting edges together, measure then double that number etc...? or does that give inaccurate #'s compared to trying to go around the opening with measuring tape? curious if it made a difference in assembly
Is the febric of t shirt and collar is different or the same one
What should I do with the extra fabric of the collar?
How do you keep the collars from standing up?
Funny you asked this, I just sent him an instagram message asking the same thing. Can't seem to figure it out. Driving me crazy. Did you find a solution?
+TheChesnokov how about you top stitch it? can you do that?
You're suppose to use a serving machine. If not it'll pop out
If it’s standing up it’s too long - shorten the band and evenly stretch using the quarter method in the video
Marcus Jacobs need the right material which he doesn't show because he's an ammmmmmmmmateur faking it
Hello is the neckline should be bias cut ? Or its okey even if its not
