@@lindanicholson950 I think the wheels in the room was a metaphor for the wheels of his marriage and I assume he crashed while driving back to his home/wife. Thus, the girl was left behind in the motel.---#UTRCM

Good Morning Don, great song, great performance. So much talent on that stage it is amazing. Aside from Rhonda who is a truly awesome singer and an accomplished Mandolin picker, although she didn't really get to display here chops on this song, you also had Ashley Campbell, who is the daughter of the great Glenn Campbell, as already noted by James and Scott. Then you had the "shabbily" dressed older gentleman, Carl Jackson, who is the most renowned of the three. Carl and Melba Montgomery wrote this song and Carl has written songs for a plethora of artist ( Ricky Skaggs, Garth Brooks, and Glenn Campbell just to name a few). He has won multiple Grammies as a songwriter and producer. He started out with Jim and Jessie McReynolds as a banjo player in their Bluegrass band. For some old time bluegrass I suggest their song "Thanks for the Trip to Paradise". He's also worked with another young lady, who like Rhonda is well known and respected in the Bluegrass field but not so much in mainstream Country music. Her name is Alecia Nugent ( no kin of Ted ) and I highly, highly, highly, recommend/request you react to her song " Where his Wheels Left the Road". Thanks Monica, yesterday in the comments you recommended 2 great songs and now this request, you obviously have impeccable music taste. Thanks to you Don for your reaction/rating. Although I must say seems as if you're getting a little tougher in your ratings ( which isn't necessarily a bad thing ) but I thought this song could have been a few clicks higher. I've blabbered enough hope everyone has a great day.---#UTRCM

This was a single and Music video for Rhonda Vincent back in about 1992 -93 or so. When I first heard the song, I thought it was headed straight to Number 1. I remember that it blew me away. The video I have not seen in a very long time, and I have forgotten what it was like, but I remember it was good and this gal was a real beauty with an awesome voice. She never really go anywhere with Mainstream Country Radio but became a big name in Bluegrass later on.

Hey Terry, one of the albums that Carl produced that he won a Grammy for is a Louvin Bros. Tribute album called " Livin', Lovin, Losin', Songs of The Louvin Bros." It has some fabulous duet combinations including Rodney Crowell and Emmylou, Allison Krause and James Taylor, Vince Gill and Terri Clark and many more. If you haven't ever heard it you can find it on YT. Just put in Louvin Bros. Tribute Album and it should pop right up. Have a great day.,-----UTRCM

You are SO right Don, about getting drawn into Rhonda's world... and feeling more than invited by her to do so! Good song! Going along with the theme of being (or 'not' being!) "over you" - I couldn't help but think of the Possum's song "I'm Over You" - please check it out/rate it for us. I 'invite!' your take on this one! Thanks Don! Thea

Rhonda did a series of duets with Gene Watson that can be found on TH-cam. Besides both of them having fantastic voices, the inter-ply between the two of them is quite entertaining.

Beautiful song by a beautiful lady. You hit the nail on the head talking about dress. That's something male singers lost somewhere in the past. Ladies do dress, males looks like they going out to do yard work
