@@embran8486 Nah, they already wasted that on the Scary Movie 4 intro. My idea is to riff on the new trend of making sequels that ignore all other sequels and have it be a Halloween 2018 parody. Nobody seems to do Halloween parodies anymore.

I would recommend both Hot Shots movies starring Charlie Sheen. The first one spoofs Top Gun and the second spoofs Rambo. They are in the exact same vein as the Scary Movie, Airplane, Naked Gun movies.

"Omg we hit a boot!" "Wheres the foot?" Is the joke that made me laugh fir a good 5 minutes straight when I first saw this movie in the theater. It killed me.
I love Gale Hailstorm. I found her hilarious as a kid watching this. Anytime I make a female character in an online game I always name her Gale Hailstorm

The “WAZZUUUPPP” phone call is a reference to Budweiser commercials in the 90s! They got everybody doing the “WAZZZZUUUP!!?” back and forth and it was so fun.
I'm actually surprised that Hollywood still hasn't given us an Amistad 2.

Amistad was about a slave ship being taken over by the slaves. After the verdict, what more was there to tell about the story? Thats like a Titanic part 2, after the ship sinks, what more is there to tell?
@@angelminaj617 I meant parody, of course nobody gets canceled for a serious movie about slavery like Harriet. But I don't think that trailer in the movie was meant as a serious sequel of "Amistad" but more of a parody of it and I think I'm not exaggerating saying that such a movie would get you canceled ASAP nowadays

Keenen Ivory Wayans is a secret comedy mastermind. He's insanely underrated outside of the industry and comedy circles.
Truth be told Scary movie is his best by far. Great writing. White Chicks and Little Men is far less to people's taste. Like me. I did enjoy Keenen's first I'm Gonna Git You Sucka.
@@embran8486 To each their own, White Chicks and Don't Be A Menace are comedy gold to me and I'm Gonna Git You Sucka is great. Not a fan of Little Man though, I'm with you there. His best work overall is still 'In Living Color' in my opinion.
I'd say Scary Movie 2 is just as good, it has loads of iconic funny moments! (in my opinion) before others freak out lol

Yes indeed. It's just too bad that the Weinstein brothers found a way to legally steal the rights of the Scary Movie franchise after Keenan Ivory Wayans directed Scary Movie 2. Marlon Wayans said this publicly in a recent interview.
Every comedy from this era was legally obligated to have a Matrix bit.
One of my favorite parts about watching people react to this is seeing their surprise and confusion at The Matrix scene. They just don't realize how damn huge it was in pop culture at the time.

This was the best one in my opinion especially the ending so well done, making Doofy the killer and the Usual Suspects scene was epic
Something I always thought was funny was that in the end when she's screaming, "NOOOOOOOO" after Doofy get's away, he's literally stopped at a red light right next to her lmao

The Sheriff was the head of the CIA in Scandal.
The man on the ship being whipped was the director of this movie and Wayans,... Keenan Ivory Wayans. Check out "Im Gonna Get You Sucka" (1988) as a start. "In Living Color" was his show and launched careers from Jamie Foxx to Jim Carrey. Keenan was in the trenches with Robert Townsend Arsenio Hall and Eddie Murphy to name a few. He came up in the funny and I consider, was the best time in comedy. Every race/ethnicity and gender of comedian was able to have a voice and perspective.

I love that scene of the Wayans brothers. As a writer & producer, you face many obstacles and receive criticism. It must have been cathartic for them to put that scene there. Like a wish fulfillment or something. In fiction, they vented their frustration of having their TV show cancelled

My buddy and I would watch this movie every weekend during high school back in early 2000's. Seen it easily over a 100 times. Wayans Brothers movies are brilliant and underrated. Not only are they funny, but their movies feel like they are so much fun making them which in turn makes them more fun to watch. Great reaction!
The Scary Movie franchise solidified my love of spoof movies. The Wayans bros have been favorite comedians of mine since childhood. I absolutely love White Chicks. 😂 thanks for reacting and posting

I totally get it when a joke passes by but you can still appreciate it in your head after the moment passed
When I was a kid I was one of many who were very very afraid of Scream, however that changed for good the day I saw Ghostface getting high with his tongue out LMAO
In terms of jokes, both told and visual, Scary Movie is right up there in the jokes-per-minute ratio.
You are usually allowed quite a bit of juridicial leeway with "copying" other people's work if it's used for satire or spoofing and it can't be mistaken for an attempt to simply copy the original.
That and they were both released by Dimension Films so the liberties were practically handed to the Wayans

i think Don't be a Menace is probably they wayans most extremely dense, almost fractally loaded with background and sight gags movie, but sadly not many people react to it. but you can pause almost any frame of that movie, isolate a random 1/16th of the screen, and find a joke there.
This is what's called 'Spoof' comedy. Naked Gun and Charlie Sheen's Hot Shots are the OGs. Scary Movie franchise brought in a new era with films like Date Movie, Epic Movie, Evolution, Ben Stiller's Tropic Thunder. My personal fave is Don't Be A Menace To South Central While Drinking Juice In The Hood (try editing that one for youtube) 😆
This movie, the South Park movie, and Austin Powers 2 are the three movies I've seen in theaters where everyone was losing their shit at how hilarious it was.

The sheriff was the coronor, Woody, on Psych. He was only supposed to be in a few episodes but stayed through the final 5 seasons and the movies. Kurt Fuller is great in everything he does.
I love this movie, but Scary Movie 2 is my favorite of the series. I sure hope you react to that one sooner rather than later. Still this one is still gold and has so many great jokes and gags.

The Sheriff’s actor’s name is Kurt Fuller. You might have recognized him from Ghostbusters, the New Guy, Anger Management, the Pursuit of Happyness, or Wayne’s World.
Scary Movie 1-4 defined my childhood culture xD love these movies

If you enjoy these kinds of movies, I’d recommend Superhero movie. It’s low-key one of the better spoof/ parody movies and it’s a personal favourite. Really think you’d enjoy it 👍🏻😁
