Hi there, I tried your excellent advise. Text is not fluid on iphone devices. However, it works perfectly on desktops and android phones. Not ok for iphones. I wonder why?
You're videos are phenomenal! Super informative and easy to follow. Thank you, thank you! PS: Is there a way to make the scrolling start at the middle? Rather than having the text come out form the left or the right side of the box?
Thank you, Sasha, for your kind words! This is a great question! Unfortunately, I am not sure how to do this. The only thing I can suggest is to change the scroll direction to ‘up’ or ‘down’ and set the scrollamount (speed) to 2, so your text stays in the middle of the page. Of course, with this method, your text would no longer scroll left or right. And then a second thing may be to shorten the text box and align it to the center so that the text is not coming all the way from the side of the page.
Thank you so much for your tutorials! So helpful! The scroll effect on the phone version isn’t moving slowly like desktop. Is there anyway to fix that?
Hey there! Loved your last tutorial and it worked so well - the only thing was, the font family I input worked on my computer when the site went live but it didnt work on anyone else's computer, the font had defaulted to something else! Is this normal and how can you change that? Is it impossible to code it as a branded (bought) font?
Thank you for watching the tutorial! Yes, this is normal- if a person does not have the branded/ bought font on their device (more often than not others will not have the font if it is branded/ bought), the font will default to the fallback font specified in the person’s CSS or browser settings. There are a few things you can do to fix this. You can use a font from WIX (I list a few at 1:30) or use web fonts provided by reputable services like Google Fonts or Adobe Fonts. I think the best way however, would be to check out my other video on scrolling text: th-cam.com/video/n3RF_xHvpA0/w-d-xo.html , upload your branded (bought) font into CANVA (Canva.com). Then, follow the steps in the tutorial. Hope this helps!
Hello! For some reason, this code is not working for mine at all. When I copy & paste the code and hit update, the box is filled with what I have in the code box.
Be sure to copy the code exactly as it appears and follow all the instructions provided in both the video and the description. You can also check out this video: th-cam.com/video/n3RF_xHvpA0/w-d-xo.html Thanks for watching!
If you're looking to create spaces between text, you can use the code " ". I talk about this more in detail in my other tutorial, so I recommend checking it out! I hope this is helpful! Here's the link: th-cam.com/video/AQQiTz7YQqw/w-d-xo.html
