- Deadlock is getting a lot of buffs in the next VALORANT update:
Sonic Sensors are now recallable in round
Sonic Sensor’s pickup distance increased 12m to 27m
Decreased time to concuss once triggered 1.0s to 0.5s
Decreased time for enemies to destroy Sonic Sensor once triggered
0.65s to 0.5s
Deadlock and her allies can now hear Sonic Sensor’s audio lightly when
they are in its area of effect
Increased the max length Barrier Mesh walls 6m to 10m

with deadlocks walls being so long, i wonder if people can get the wall to extend past a doorway without you having the ability to shoot the orbs to knock it down, if so thats going to be crazy lockdown
My exact thought. I don't know if that will physically be possible but at least now they would have to get really close to the edge of the barrier to shoot down the orbs, should give you a big advantage there.
Nope, its physically impossible with deadlock wall being diagonal. Its a whole other story if you could rotate it of course, but for now there are only niche unbreakable deadlock wall use cases for this that arent practical at all (and its still breakable in those situations) (not practical as in being only unbreakable from one specific angle in the corner of a map etc)
It would be very easy to trap people within 2 sides of the walls right now. Trapping people is a real thing now - can potentially combo with ultis

I predicted the recall buff months ago after she came out. It just didn't make sense for a short-range trap to not be more versatile

These buffs are actually really good and really capitalize what she is meant to do aka Slow Down Rushes. Will she break the meta? Probably not. But will she be more viable on her good maps, definitely.
She is def C tier but at least she does something now.
Also that wall change is nuts she can remove entire rooms from maps now. I think the biggest is to place it in the middle of market of ascent and just delete the room. And mid on split

I think you forgot the fact that there can be omen and chamber who could tp in and Jett and raze and sage could just jump over the wall?
The wall I think stops when it hits a structure on the map. So basically if it get's blocked by something it'll build till that distance otherwise it generates till 10m. I think that's how it works.

deadlock wall is already broken in pistol rounds for blocking off sites now it's even more broken since you can block more of the entrance with the right lineups
these are neat buffs, but her barrier mesh needs 1 more buff, which is either it doesnt deteriorate overtime or refreshes after 1min mayb, also her ult shld show where it goes on the map (i cant hit anything)
You should just practice ur ult because it needs a bit of map knowledge and geometry to know where the ult will curve to. I also have this issue😂
She isnt Cypher or Killjoy but shes definitely getting some love now happy with these changes i love playing deadlock

Im a Controller main but she needs 1 more debuff on her sensor so either way she gets info. If enemies are walking in the radius they will be hit by a sonic wave that will defean and slow them
You can throw nanoswarm or raze nade to destroy placed traps, wich is great
For players whos already uses deadlock as main, this gonna be a treat
I played quite a bit of Deadlock recently and these sonic sensor buffs are exactly what this utility needed, I would only add so they could restun until destroyed.
That wall, I wanted it to be bigger, but holy shit I never imagined they would make it THAT big lol, but yeah it's gonna be probably shorter next patch imo, 10 metres seems a bit too forgiving for bad throws lol

you can already pickup the sensor from the previous patch. the 1 thing I hate about it, once the round starts you can't pick it up, it stays there. but when waiting for the round starts you can still pick it up

Has the deploy distance of the sensors also increased? That would be a big deal because you used to have to overextend if you wanted to sensor a choke after taking site for example

As a deadlock main, I would say that this buff is not too crazy. The main issue I get is how 3 out of 4 utils can affect my teammates so I have to comm often and refrain from using those utils.

@@Nightmare-sg1qg maybe yes, but Breach is kinda controllable. While Deadlock gravnet for example can randomly bounce and stun teammates and so on
@@aln- ur right, im still making a lot of mistake when throwing the net in to take a site which is end up being my teammate and me who got the net trap lol. So with this issue i'd rather be defending alone in a site and fake attacking or got their behind watched by my util

The wall should be able to rotate from an x to a t orientation
it never made sense for the sensors to only be able to recall during the buy phase when cypher can recall his camera whenever during rounds, so that is a pretty good change.
Another thing @kanga u should check is if the deadlock trap is still working after she dies. Cuz one of the kaemi video i saw it happening

i think they should also make her wall a bit taller. the whole point of deadlock was to be a counter against entry duelists like jett, raze, and neon. neon is the only one that cant really get over the wall as it stands, since jett has updraft and raze has satchels. this is a problem because neon is the only one that doesnt need this counterplay.

BRO yk what I want with Sonic sensor? For it not to be activated from the other side of wall. Imagine Ascent B Defender side. First lane has some 3-4 steps when dropping into site. When U put sensors on that stair, it activates and stuns the guys on the other side of wall taking the orb or hiding behind the box.
High elo players break side walls and not the center. Which is super easy to break, they should buff it or force players to break always central orb
i think they should revert the grav net buff and give her two, and obviously some kind of indicator for where her wall goes. been thinking about what would happen if grav net supressed. would rlly help deadlock stop ppl trying to escape or stall when they get caught.
I don’t think so keep it is how it is now and make them have less accuracy. That way netted enemy’s can actually be swung
raze nade and fade seize doesnt have an indicator u just have to memorize and practice it
i think it would be nice if they make her gravnet her signature and have it recharge after like 30-40 seconds and the wall becomes a basic ability

I am of the opinion that the thing should be completely undetectable until tripped, since its quite easy to bypass. Deadlock players could start using it in very unconventional locations to catch enemies off guard, and also force the enemies to be extremely cautious at all times, potentially slowing down rotates due to fear and giving it an interesting use that's still not the basic idea of watching a flank, as riot seems to intend.
Why do you think most deadlock mains place their trips on areas where enemies and you will peek from? They are not cypher trips my guy

i just realised deadlock sonar is pretty good when with cypher trip for flanks
you can place the trip low and the sonar can stun anyone who jumps over it and maybe even having them hit the trip
Or Cypher places a normal trip and when enemy shoots it deadlock sound sensor stuns them. Cypher and Deadlock will be a great combo, but I don't think anyone is picking both.

the wall saying 8m is because you were probably ~9.5 meters away from the wall but the counter for the distance only goes up by 2s

I think deadlock could be used in double sentinel comp but I think if you are running that comp kj and cypher would be so much better.
Cypher better cause enemies are forced to break his utilities and is it global so you wouldn't need to anchor one site using deadlock

Her trips still won't be able to hold flanks like Cypher or Killjoy, but it looks like it will be good as a kill trip.
Might be a better kill trip just because of how wide the stun radius is and how unpredictable the placement of these trips can be for deadlock since they aren't limited to having to connect to the other side like Cypher or have no range limits like KJ. Though we all know how much a stun changes things which can be a buff more often than not.
She wasn't really made for holding flanks though
Unless her kit changes, giving size or time buffs will change nothing to her pickrate. The main problem with deadlock is that you cant get info with her like cypher or killjoy. Her sensor still doesnt match a trap or turret
Its because people are using it wrong. You use is as a breach stun not a trap for hold angles ( unless your playing aggressively )

If you place it properly the extra size shouldn't really have an effect, and even when it does its better to have them blocked off with more room than not blocked at all IMO
It's not a nerf if you think about it. First of all, you can properly cover choke points. Deadlock before had to be really precise with covering chokepoints in certain areas.
