It's so nice to hear good things about this game! The 4 heroines is such a cool idea and we love fluffy/steamy romance focused games. Definitely sounds right up my alley, I'll have to finish other games fast so I can get to this one 😍
Four main characters?! How novel. These developers are stepping out of the box! Excited for this one, saw that it was coming out this year and expected it to be 'meh'. So glad you liked it! 😍
As someone who's been looking for some more Japanese practice and hasn't ventured into JP otome yet bc I don't wanna buy a separate game for it this is PERFECT
I’m so overwhelmed! As a total noob even to the gaming world, I just discovered visual novels and thought it sounded like fun with a romantic comedy. And here I am, researching otome…😅 But it is SO hard to find a safe place to start!! I don't want too weird stuff, and that seems to be everywhere. 😂 I just want a romantic feelgood story with a happy ending. Wouldn't mind a little steam and passion, but just the cute kind… preferably not to many red flags.😅 Any pointers would be awesome!
@@ima.ekenes I also would have replied to the comment under the other video 😊 I made a very old video about beginner games (just search beginner games on my channel) Or more recently a list with all otome games on the Switch (purple hair dude in the thumbnail) For fluff without weirdos Hanakare (this video's game) is absolutely perfect! Lover Pretend and Sympathy Kiss also are relatively save slice of life stories, especially Lover Pretend (though I'm personally not the biggest fan of both as I find them to be slightly superficial) If you don't mind fantasy, then Cupid Parasite is a must buy! It's cute, wholesome and steamy without any weirdos! But as a first otome game, Hanakare is pretty perfect in my opinion! Let me know if you need any other help 🥰
@@LinLinLavender Thank you, you're so sweet! I'll check them out, and also your other videos! I had written down Cupid Parasite on my list, but someone gave the impression it turnes horror at some point in the story? Which would be a hard no for me, but maybe I misunderstood… Also, I just have to tell you that hearing about otome and visual novels as a japanese learning tool is a MAJOR aha moment. I grew up in japan, but never learned to read kanji. I tried to study it, but I never found a way to do it that really worked. I can't imagine a more perfect way to get familiar with reading at least a tiny bit more. SO happy I stumbled on your channel! Hugs from Norway 😊
*sighs. opens wallet* ok I’m sold 😭 I’m not even into slice of life but curse Yuuya she’s so damn talented I want to eat this game up! Bit of a side tangent but I’ve recently got into situational cds now that I’m seriously learning Japanese and happy to say I can understand about 70% of simple modern language in them. I just got a series set in a cabaret club in different years in the 20th century like 1946, 1969 etc
@@amnal3983 you're welcome! You can thank me later 🤣 Oh, please tell me about these situation CDs! Gin's was my first, but I'm curious to learn more about drama CDs!
@@LinLinLavender it’s a series made by a company called 黒い令嬢 - they have a very high quality website so you can see their other series on there. They tend to create quite intense stories. The other one I listened to followed a family who have a generational curse and…it’s very dark and messy. I wouldn’t recommend them for fluffy slice of life but they put a lot of effort into the soundscape of the CDs which I appreciate
Can't wait to get my hands on this game. Its one of my highly anticipated otomes for this year~ I hope this continues a trend of Yuuya's drama CD artworks/project covers getting otome games(i.e like I hope the Iroka Recipe series is next).
definitely on my wishlist~ kinda wish there was a character with long hair, or a bit more variety in hairstyles, but the premise and the sugar content seems up my allley!
I'm still waiting for cdjapan to deliver my copy of this game so thanks for making this video to keep me occupied while I wait for the game to arrive. I'm least excited about the childhood friend one because I hate that trope esp if it has one sided pining only but I love his VA.
@@LinLinLavender I'm looking forward to his route the most since I love characters like him (design wise and his personality seems very sweet) and I also feel like I'd be able to relate to the heroine of his route really nicely! I wish my copy was home already but it only shipped out yesterday TuT
I was waiting for your video review to see if I wanted to buy it because I’m always a little hesitant when it comes to slice of life but now I’m def gonna get it 😂
Damn. I wasn't interested in this one because it's a slice of life flower shop, which really isn't my style, but your review sold me on it. I'll put it on my wishlist, though, 'cause I'm busy with a different game right now
SPOILERS FOR TENYA MINAMI'S ROUTE AHEAD This game has the best route I've ever played in an otome game and literally my FAV man ever now: Minami Tenya. I related so much to MC's struggles of being a people pleaser throughout her life and seeing Tenya finally giving her the love and attention she always gave to others warmed my heart. She helped him broaden his horizons and find deeper interests, and he proved to her that she's worthy of love. Everything I've always wanted to see in an otome game and more.
@@------........................ Omg, same! I wanted to gush about the heroines, but then the video would have never ended I also think Miku is one of the most relatable heroines and the love story of them how they help each other is so so precious!! ❤️
I got a little sad when I finished the last after story - that’s how I know I really connected with it! Its commitment to SIMPLICITY was so refreshing. It understood its assignment and didn’t fall into traps of overly complex or melodramatic plot or using gameplay mechanics (I’m looking at you, lover pretend). This game is an absolute gem.
@@LinLinLavender Tenya earned my top spot and Wataru is close 2nd. The younger LI is usually not my type but his character really balanced being playful but also mature and sincere

@LinLinLavender yes!!!!!! Thank you so much for reviewing this one. When you talked about it on your 2024 otome games, I put it lower on my list. Now it's way up there! For practicing Japanese AND cute/sexy story!
