Wow those are both gorgeous cards, thank you so much for sharing the watercoloring technique with us. I've watched so many people do this type of thing using expensive water colors, and I put it off simply because I couldn't afford to go to an art store and buy the expensive stuff, Crayola Watercolors are in my budget right now, so your video really brought a smile to my face.
Thank you! you know I started making My thank you cards this week. I always try to get a bunch done with my holiday cards, so I will be ready to send to people.... for presents or hosting parties etc! Thank you for posting a Thank you card Video, I dont see a lot of them up and I like them!!! I also like that this is simple and personal (not a die cut but hand written) You are a special person and I appreciate all your time to make these videos!
Great idea for a very simple card. Thanks also for using the cheaper watercolours. I use these watercolours and you have given me some good ideas to make them work better for myself. You have definitely shown us that you don't need to use the expensive products to get beautiful results. Bravo!
Canson XL is available at my local IL Walmart and is perfect for your watercolor needs , especially for practice exercises. Exceptionally value for light watercolor card fronts for under $10 ! Thank you Kristina , I've yet to learn when to STOP when I should when watercoloring 😂. That's when you need the higher quality paper 🤔😅
Gorgeous cards, Kristina! I especially love the purple one. It looks like streaky clouds (very technical term, I know! LOL) at sunset. Love these--tfs! :)
I'm actually hoping to make watercolor cards/artwork for my aunt's little trinkets booth in a store so this tutorial is going to come in handy!!! thank you!!! (also, more watercolor card tutorials would be greatly appreciated!)
When giving this to someone, or selling them, what do you do about envelopes? Do you use one, and if so, any particular size? Do you make them? Thanks so much, Really love when you use your crayola watercolors!
Kristina--great cards, thank you so much! I will try the watercolor techniques but my hands just don't work the way they used to so I will have to rely on stamps or dies for the sentiment! My granddaughter had so much fun playing with my watercolors this summer that I got her some for Christmas. This may be a technique that I could actually teach her?!! Thank you for the great information and inspiration! (Peg)
I had to laugh when you said to "use your own handwriting" on a card! Yeah, right....Kristina, most of us stamp because we are not artists! Goes for the handwriting too! When I first saw the finished card, my immediate thought was "who's stamp is that"? LOL...should have known.
Beautiful cards! Thank you for using limited supplies in many of your videos as many of us cannot afford artist grade supplies. I had some wonderful results with painting a galaxy after watching your videos and can't wait to try this technique 🙂
Saadiya P wdym the water colors in the video are cheap crayola paints and for paper you can just use any kind of thick paper and for brushes and pens i doubt that you dont have them
So, I was wanting to hand make my Thank You cards from my baby shower with water color, would Cardstock work just as well? Please answer back asap. ♡ Love these cards!
Beautiful cards and I will be making these for sure, thank you for a simple card to make. Question: I just stamped all of my Thanksgiving cards with a sentiment and some are smudging? I used a black pigment ink, I am new to this. Does pigment ink smudge and should I be using something different? Thank you.
That depends on your environment. I live in an area with high humidity, Southern Virginia, so mine can take up to half an hour or so. For many areas it takes less time
Pigment inks are really meant to be covered with embossing powder and heated. That's why they stay wet longer. Switch to dye ink if you're not going to emboss.
Difference in two card strokes? I have watched the video twice and am trying to see what the difference in the strokes are is in creating the one card vs the other. I want to make these cards as they are so beautiful!
Deborah Anne Looks to me that the first card used more water so the colors blended better together. In the second card, she uses less water so the brush is more dry to keep the brush strokes. More water takes the brush strokes away and lets the colors blend easier, less water means you have more strokes. I hope that helped. :)
Hello Deborah! For the first one, notice how she pretty much painted the entire surface of the card by always keeping the paper wet and making sure every brushstroke with new color stuck to the previous brush stroke? She didn't do that for the second one. She let there be spaces between new colors and sort of let the colors dry so the ombre effect was uneven, creating that beautiful rough look.
Awe Kristina, these cards are so precious and you are one heck of woman....that's what I took from this tutorial! TFS sweetie!
I have NEVER thought of premixing my colors. Beautiful cards and THANK YOU!
Love these videos with minimal supplies! They give me the courage to try my hand at watercolors! Thank you for sharing !

So, I was wanting to hand make my Thank You cards from my baby shower with water color, would Cardstock work just as well? Please answer back asap. ♡ Love these cards!
I wouldn't recommend regular cardstock. Watercolor paper will look much better.

Beautiful cards and I will be making these for sure, thank you for a simple card to make. Question: I just stamped all of my Thanksgiving cards with a sentiment and some are smudging? I used a black pigment ink, I am new to this. Does pigment ink smudge and should I be using something different? Thank you.
Deborah Anne Pigment inks do take a longer time to dry. You can still use the ink, but just allow ample time to dry. :)
Thank you, how long would they take to dry? I am new to this stamping world.
That depends on your environment. I live in an area with high humidity, Southern Virginia, so mine can take up to half an hour or so. For many areas it takes less time

Subscribed your channel😉
Hello :) do you have information on how would you save your design digitally to create multiple greeting cards?
Pretty and you don't need new stamps or dies.
hello K werner design how are you? can you able to use any kind of watercolour paper?

Thank you Allison, yes that makes sense to me.

Hello, what is the pad called that you're working on (with grid lines and such)?
😍👌 like it
Do you also try other types of coloring materials aside from watercolor?
I love your channel, by the way. xoxo
