In mathematics there are no things like "fullerenes" and "bucky balls". There are regular, half regular and irregular polyhedrons. The fullerene you mention is a truncated icosahedron. Nevertheless I understand your admiration for Buckminster Fuller.
@ Nobel Prize, C60 seems to be one of the most indestructible molecules in organic chemistry. Though what do I know.
