This is the first time I have heard Ahir Bhairav on santoor. As a retired professional Irish traditional musician (who also has a love of Indian classical music) I'm not unfamiliar with European hammered dulcimers, so I was intrigued to discover how such an instrument could be used for one of my favourite ragas without the ability to vary the pitch (i.e. meend). All I can say is, what a superb introduction for me to this gifted performer and the santoor.
No matter what Zakir Ji Shiv Ji is world's most deadly indian classical music combination of all time. Zakir ji accompanying any leading musician of the world is a treat in itself. With all due respect to Yogesh Ji.
