I just put mine together, can’t wait to install it on my jeep tomorrow. Looks awesome 😎👊🏽
What's the max weight we can put on it?
I used these video as a step by step guide THANK YOU SO MUCH ☺️
Glad to help!
Just installed mine today. Very happy with it
Nice Video - what about installing a web awning? do you think the brackets would support 40-50 lb's on one side?
Yeah I don’t think that would be an issue
Great video! This seems like the best no-drill option. I’m only looking to do the extra camping gear-toting so this is perfect!
Just saw your other comment. Thanks for watching. It’s a solid option. The finish faded somewhat quickly but it’s still in good shape overall
I’ll get one now after your video. Great job. Thanks
Thanks for watching
After a few months after a year on your JL have you further commentary on your review. I very much appreciate your reviews and plan on ordering this Hooke Road JL roof rack. We camp frequently and the extra storage of a few items within the weight limitations so to gain a little more storage capacity. I would much appreciate your updated comments.
My only complaint to date is that the hardware started to get rusty and the powder coat faded like I expected it would in the original video. Otherwise it’s been great. Still looks good, I just noticed that it was a little faded today because I was looking at it up close
She wasnt very helpful reaching the roof but she sure looked good trying! I just installed mine and I love it, I really wish they used some aluminum or punched more holes into it to save weight. Its way too heavy, but for $300 its the best option out there.
Agreed on the weight but yeah hard to complain about the price
Great video! I wanted to ask how sturdy are the connections to the hardtop on the Jeep. I understand it isn’t bolted on which is a good thing. But are those connections very stable? Would I worry about the whole roof rack falling off? Thanks again!
Thanks! It’s on there solid! No concerns on it going anywhere for sure.
No drilling.. am sold✌️👍
Honestly, drilling into the hard top is a HUGE justifiable value!
I got the same rack but one of my side back doors won’t open because of the mount, any tips or help you can give me?
Hard to say without seeing the mounting bracket but I assume it’s just installed wrong. The brackets clear the doors perfectly fine on this one
I just ordered my Hooke Roof Rack for my JL and hope to be inspired by your video.
Did your original order come with the rubber protection? If not, I may have to make my own.
You mean the rubber pieces for the brackets that mount to the top? Those were included
@@aguywithajeep Sorry...I meant the Rubber pieces that connect to the Rain Guards of the Jeep Hardtop?
Yes those were included in mine.
@@aguywithajeep Just got my package...didn't get those Rubber Guards. It's OK...I can improvise.
Looks good!
How’s the wind noise? I’ve seen reviews on other racks saying it’s noisy at highway speeds. Have seen any reviews on this one yet.
Next to none from what I’ve noticed. I was worried about it for sure.
Awesome! I appreciate the reply that was my only hold up have it ordered excited to get it on!

Will a rooftop tent fit?
I wouldn’t mount a tent to it because that would put a lot of weight on your rain rails. You’d probably want something that had an inner support system
