Great guest which led to a great show. Love the fact that he learned on the job. This is something that’s been lost in our society. It doesn’t work for everything but it works for a lot more than people think.
Mitch is a solid dude, he happens to be local to me, and he helped me out a couple of times with a little glitches I’ve had with my TwinTurbo v10. Great podcast.!
I've bought several items from Matt's ads in the past and have been hit or miss. HOWEVER the Vuori strato shirts are probably the best shirts I've ever owned. Not cheap at $54 but does everything: soft, nice fit, doesn't show sweat. This was a Good Ad
Jesus these deep devs are so good, I have been wondering how tied down the latest ECU’s were, you ask all the questions I had 👏🏻 Great show! Also would be fitting if they got Donner or one of the really really fast guys over to run Ken’s pink car up the mountain this year. 43🤘🏼
Shout out to Matt for putting me on to Vuori. I hardly ever buy things advertised on podcasts but gave their shorts a try and they are very good shit! Love the show guys, keep up the great work!
Dude I'm in a Civic Si with 205whp, with traction control completely off (blinking) I'm having so much fun. I couldn't imagine w/ a Ktuner, it's a great time stock!
You guys are correct with drivers who do not have the skill to handle the power. I have never tracked so 300 hp in my old Saab was just fine, more I would have crashed.
Had a m_engineering tune on my 600lt and it was a different animal. Rolling anti lag 4 maps. Car was f’n fast. Had a stock 720s and I think my bolt on tuned 600lt was just as fast or faster
Markski at Markski Tuning or Sam at ByDesign are the top 2 guys I would consider for tuning your car. Markski was my choice for my 997.1 turbo with upgraded turbos, intercoolers, exhaust, and turbo intake tubes. Sam is the guy to go to if you plan on doing e85 in the future. Markski if you want to do methanol injection or a 100 octane tune
BTW if you are going to get it tuned I highly recommend upgrading the exhaust at the same time. If you don't plan on doing any mods beyond that the stock intercoolers will be solid for you. If you want to get upgraded turbos or e85 or anything like that eventually then you will need to upgrade the intercoolers as well. Markski makes the best intercoolers. Markski makes a nice exhaust. But I prefer Freddy Lewis for an exhaust. He did mine for $1400 shipped to my door.
@2fast2nick I'm not sure about the ipd plenum on the 997.2 but on the 997.1 it's a big waste of money. If you plan on upgrading the turbos I'd highly recommend hitting up markski for a package deal on his 4.5" intercoolers and tuning.
So what other platforms besides that 5.2 v10 and the coyote 5.0 have been in the 7s without opening the motor?? Thats so insane to me. Loved this episode!!!
Even some Bluetooth scanner will pull trans milage but I seen them flashing both data points. Like these new vehicles with 5g are have data cloud updates but those aren't in supercars
I just finished listening to this podcast and realized I had a question. I wonder if it’s possible to tune a C7 automatic transmission controller to make it respond better to inputs. The answer used to be no, but I’ve driven other slush-box autos that respond damn near as fast as my E92 M3 DCT did. That would be good enough to get me back into a C7.
Trade-off there’s always a point of concession. Toyota is following the trend that most manufacturers are leading in just having as much tech in their cars but also looking at things drivers don’t use/want. Most people I know sadly never have touched/operated a manual transmission car. We are living the strangest of times.
So the expert in this world bought a car with 90k on it despite the odo showing 20k... Because he didn't check the trans ECU despite him recommending that?
I'm a geek so I love these tech-heavy podcasts. Dunno if they do the numbers, but thanks for continuing them.
@user-fv9ze7yr2t fuck I hope it's a pink Porsche
@@tealruby1 it is, just minor water damage. And you pay for the diver crew to retrieve it. 😂

Great pod this, love when there's a knowledgeable guy in to talk some facts.
Great guest which led to a great show. Love the fact that he learned on the job. This is something that’s been lost in our society. It doesn’t work for everything but it works for a lot more than people think.
More of Mitch please, great show
This was a great show! Super interesting to hear the ins and outs of tuning.
Thanks TST Crew for the engineering podcasts! Really enjoying these!
This guy showed us 10% of genius, love how humble he is. Great listen!
Very proud of you Mitch! Dan
Mitch is the man! So knowledgeable. Love my Dyno Spectrum DS1…full flex fuel on my RS3 is a dream that previously could only be done via Syvecs.
Super cool pod to listen to. Love the occasional nerdy deep dive on a topic like this.
Damn. Mitch is a genius. Great show
More of this. Getting industry experts talking about car modification/engineering.
I have run M Engineering tunes on my 720, 620, and 765. They are a top notch company!
Mitch is the best in the biz! 🏁
Mitch is a solid dude, he happens to be local to me, and he helped me out a couple of times with a little glitches I’ve had with my TwinTurbo v10. Great podcast.!
Mitch rules. All time guest
Love these types of guests! Great Show, I learned a lot!
This is a good one! Enjoyed this guest. Smart and modest which is the best
Really enjoyed this video, definitely bring Mitch back again!

Great show! Have a 992 Turbo S cab that wanted to have them tune but worried about the warranty issues.
please please do more of these this was so dope. Would love one on car dynamics and aero
One of my favorite episodes, Mitch and M-Engineering are amazing!
This was such an interesting show. Bravo!
The Isle of Man is tax free, it's probably a good reason why they are there.

Another great show! Thank you!
I bought my tune from M Engineering because of this podcast!
I really loved that episode. I geeked out 😂

Great convo Mitch filled with info.
Well that was fascinating. Especially that McLaren doesn't use common safety systems to prevent engine failures.
Would love to hear more technical details from another interview with Mitch.
“You know” count up to 1,382 at the 15 mins mark.
Very annoying so many you knows. I don't know man that's why I listen to the podcast.
Best guess since Dinan. Love the tech side of cars. Have him back soon

great guest!

Should be able to. Ctsv transmission tuning is common. Same auto isn't it?
Crazy to hear how prevalent mileage blockers are. Makes you really wonder how many people are doing that.
Gah! Wish you'd spoke more about transmission and maybe even traction/stability control tuning.
We need a hotshoe to go in and win Pikes Peak with that horrendous looking pink thing as a tribute to Ken.
The whistle nose I thought was me for like a solid second
Great pod
Damn he knows his shit.. this was a good one
i loved this episode
Mclaren inherited their engine design from Nissan lol and a lot of Nissans burn oil 🤣🤣 but then not building an OPS in the wiring is nuts
Mopar 392 in 2012 : We can't crack the ECU to tune it!
Mopar 392 in 2022: Can steal entire car in 5 minutes with a keyfob emulator bought online

I find it weird they don’t tune bmw all because of the m5 weak rods but the turbo inline 6 is so reliable
I love how the EPA wants to crack down on enthusiasts but like…. Cruise ships. Industry. Etc.
yup I went with Schrick on my old VR6 GTI and it lost power.
Good🎉
Great show but there has to be a way to tie his hands to the desk. :)
He sounds just like Justin Rolland who makes Rick and Morty
Can I take my audi to this dude ?
So the expert in this world bought a car with 90k on it despite the odo showing 20k... Because he didn't check the trans ECU despite him recommending that?
It always makes me smile when I hear that a car has "meth" hahahaha
Get Steve dinan on again!
Why this guy play the piano on the table while speaking?
Let's go
He keeps saying higher level when I think he means lower level.
McLaren is a business . So they make their money back with maintenance. Maybe 🤔
If you are a fan of NASCAR, Mitch sounds EXACTLY like Justin Allgaier. Try to un-hear it now...
Why are americans bothered with mileage being changed? The whole world does it people...
Would be nice if you could find out how to get rid of the sound of people banging their hands on the table. I'm getting a headache.
I kept focusing on Matt’s heavy breathing followed shortly by a nose whistle.
Yeah it looks like their microphones aren't isolated, so they are probably picking up table vibrations from the banging.
Table cloth or heavy fabric mat on it. But Bro's love the wooden table look.
47:04 I can hear @tavarish crying
