- World of Warcraft Classic Hardcore went live on August 24th, and since then Death has permanently claimed almost 3 MILLION characters! Watch to find out how many deaths the each of the top 10 deadliest things in Azeroth are responsible for. And if you're one of Hardcore's 3 million fallen champions, remember, you can always re-roll and get back in there!

Can you please do highest causes of deaths for max level characters next! That would be cool to see

Its probably way too spread around different causes that all the numbers are very low but yea, could still be interesting

Retail: we killed deathwing, arthas etc. and chilling the way.

Note that 8 out of 10 of these causes are from mobs below level 20. So many foolhardy souls are dying early, weeding out the weak.

Trappers also net you, which is far worse than the backstab imo, especially when you get netted several times while trying to run away
Would love to see more in-depth statistics, like normalized per faction, or deaths only after level 10 (like excluding infant mortality from average life expectancy)
These data don't even have some of the EU states available.
I'm really surprised murlocs weren't on that list.
It's because people are getting owned by the kobolds. When people have learned their lessons with the kobolds, they don't fall for it so easily with the murlocs.

Reminder that even Voidwalker Minion isn't a horde only mob. Every VW minion in the world is counted towards the same bucket. Like the ones in BFD.

The voidwalker minions do die when the summoner dies, HOWEVER they will only despawn once you run away from them and reset them

Never seen unstable hardcore servers. Its always the players internet that is unstable

Voidwalker minion mobs are spread across azeroth. It's the same named mob for all the warlock npcs. Can be found in redridge, wetlands, tanaris, durotar etc.
Would love to see the clear/wipe ratios of different dungeons and raids
Crazy all these mobs are mainly Alliance side
More caves and they hit way harder for that range level
nah its cuz alliance is 90%+ of the population on hardcore, so more people to die. whats impressive is how high the voidwalkers in duratar are since its horde. which means if normalized to faction playercounts its probably the most deadly by far@@Whathefaqs

Stronger enemies for stronger players
75% of the characters created in classic are alliance, so it does make sense
No Blood Elves so everybody roll Human.
This is true for regular WoW too, good to see nothing has changed.

My guild says otherwise. Last week we had 13 Murloc related deaths the entire week.

The only thing I'm seeing here is that humans have, by far, the hardest 10-20 levels in WoW.
Also, would be great if this feeling could still be present now-a-days :). These types of different dangerous quests were very fun to overcome
Other players: guards attack you, you get PVP flagged unwanted (bug). High level rogue ambush.

Elwynn and Westfall are the hardest starting areas. Horde don't die because they're playing on easy mode and aren't being tested.
